Did you know that El Salvador is smaller than Massachusetts, but has HUNDREDS of volcanoes?!
I had the opportunity to visit El Salvador a few weeks ago on a tour with Salvadorean Tours, and I was blown away by the natural beauty, hospitable people and tasty food (hello #pupusas)! We went all over the country, hiking volcanoes, visiting small villages, touring big cities, etc -- and I loved every second of being there.
El Salvador, unfortunately, gets a bad reputation on the news & media for being unsafe, and therefore, many tourists avoid going there. I'm here to tell you not to listen to the news and come visit for yourself to see how truly spectacular this country is. I'm not saying crime doesn't exist there (crime is everywhere) -- but as long as you take normal precautions and use common sense (i.e. avoid dangerous areas at night), then you will be fine. Salvadorean People are warm and friendly, and almost everyone is open to having a genuine conversation.
I hope this video changes your perspectives on the beauty of El Salvador.

Michael Cervino It is incredibly beautiful when you take it to your own perspective and not the others. Especially with the new president, he cleared up the streets of gangs so it’s much safer

I’m from El Salvador and currently living there. I’m also a U.S. citizen but I recently moved back to my home .country of El Salvador. I love many things here, in particular, how much less stress I feel as oppossed to when I lived in California in LA County.
It is a very small country but it is beautiful. I cannot say everything is perfect, far from it, but there’s a “small town” feeling that I really appreciate. Large industrialized cities like the ones in developed countries can get annoying and overwhelming.

Did you explore other parts of El Salvador outside of the capital? The coast is drop dead gorgeous (especially El Cuco!) and wonderfully delicious food!

I was in may 2018 in ElSalvador and this is a awesome Country with Volcanos, untouched Beaches and many friendly people. I love it.
I was full of tears, I even screamed "my country!!" When I came across this video. My parents were born and raised in El Salvador but sadly I have never visited. I was always told stories and even to this day, of how dangerous it could be but whether it was financially or lack of time, I couldn't go. However, I'm glad to know that you felt safe, that you enjoyed your time and that you were welcomed warmly in a place that is highly regarded as one of the most dangerous countries in the world. The media plays an important factor to this but of course, seeing is believing and I'm so happy. Thank you so much for visiting. It's definitely given me strength and courage to visit the country my parents grew up in.

This makes me so happy, El Salvador is my 2nd home and I would go almost every summer as a child growing up and never witnessed any crime, again just like every country know you’re surroundings and be smart about the time of day you’re out. I been following you for a few weeks through out your many amazing trips and loving your videos. I was born in El Salvador and live in Austin Texas and know there are 22 volcanoes and no active volcanoes. Last active volcano was Izalco back in the 50/60’s. Keep up the great work.

I visited San Salvador and fell in love with it, the people are humble and beautiful, you would like it. Where are you from?
All I saw was poverty yes el Salvador has a ways to go but it's one of the most developed countries in central America in its infrastructure, world renowned beaches for surf, many volcanoes, rivers, jungles, lakes. Huge cultural heritage with the Mayan route sorry man plus it was really rushed.

As a Richmond, Va resident I am familiar with Papusas... Most cities have a Little Italy... We have a little El Salvador and there are quite a decent number of restaurants selling those lovely cheese and meat filled delights.

My mom is from El Salvador in a city named San suntepecke by the border with Nicaragua I would love to go back there one day
10 u.s. dollar 3 people can have a nice decent breakfast. 20 dollars lunch for 3 people at the local market good food prepared in front of you. Taste great . One of few countries the U.S. dollar is strong. A place to hang out eat ,Volcano Oceans River and Lakes and Great people. Keep in your future trip List.😇😇
