Silco's face there represents everything, he was fed up with crime and kept doing it because it was the only way to have control of everything. Not for nothing did he prefer the independence of Zaun to continuing with the brilliance. The definition of "the end justifies the means."
I love that the golden jaw guy died no one carred and they didnt lost any money only he lost his money. Once silco died they all panicked and lost like 70% of the funds. Then the girl died and they all started to freak out and began to fight each other.
There was a lot of regret in Silco by the time of his demise. He built his little empire on violence, crime and depraved exploitation of the very people he called his own; he stooped too low and he knew it. Such acts cannot be sustained "for respect", only "for love".

I love that when Isha falls on Jinx at 2:07, Jinx's eyes light up pink, indicating battle mode. Then she realizes it's a harmless kid and the pink light in her eyes goes out. Then Jinx sees that the kid is scared and being hunted by these goons and she immediately pulls back her hood to show who they are dealing with. A cool scene where Jinx immediately decides to protect a weak kid, despite her unstable mental state and depression after Silko's death. She was always kind... somewhere deep inside))

It’s amazing to me how much influence Silco and Vander continue to have on the characters and events in S2 despite their deaths. People talk about the conflict with the undercity being underwhelming forgetting that it is not a country or even independent city, it is a loose confederation of organized crime, dirty industry, and upper city corruption that only two people (Vander and Silco) were ever able to keep them from fighting each other in a bloody civil gang war. Silco flat out says the undercity has no chance in a full-scale war with Piltover even with him in command and Singed pushing the uses and power of shimmer to its maximum. With him gone there is no unity and the undercity turns on itself. “Dirty little animals, you cannibals eat your supper. @@orionsarrow1025 I agree with your analysis pretty much 100%. I had really only watched the intro scene maybe 5 times when I wrote my comment. Now that I’ve watched it like 25 times, I do see that I made a couple mistakes. 1. I’m pretty certain that actually the entire song is from Jinx’s point of view 2. The first two stanzas aren’t about Silco per se - more precisely, they are about Jinx’s reflections on their toxic father-daughter relationship and realizing that her terrorism against Piltover (which she actually feels guilty about to the point of suicide at times) only made everything even worse. Oh yeah, and now she’s public enemy #1 to both the police and the chem barons and their gangs, having to skulk around alleys and live underground, knowing that it’s only a matter of time before you are hunted down and killed like an animal. 3. I’d agree that the final stanza is about Jinx’s contempt for the chem barons/people trying to seize Silco’s throne and her contempt for them. The undercity got even worse under them far more quickly than it got worse under Silco after Vander died, and she’s just done with it all. 4. I didn’t touch on pretty lamb, but I think it’s pretty obviously foreshadowing Isha, the person who will completely unexpectedly rescue Jinx from her living hell. In a future analysis I would *really* like to compare the first meeting between Powder & Silco with the first meeting of Isha & Jinx because there are some fascinating parallels but also differences. Thanks for reading and engaging! I did this kinda on the fly which is why I missed and/or got some things wrong. Plan to be more thorough in the future
Silco is the best character in the show. He sacrificed everything for Zaun and lost everything along the way. Then, when he finally achieved his goals, he threw it all away rather than handing over Jinx. This is a badass storyline!
Its why he poured one out to vander at the end of season 1. Just like vander could have let vi go and the lanes would have been fine. Relatively speaking. But it was his daughter. He took her in. And in the final moment he chose vi over himself. Silco found himself right there. Jace gave him everything he wanted. But hed have to lose the one thing he cared about most. His daughter. Jace didnt even haggle...
I cannot get enough of the opening sequence. From the way the Chem-Barons sit all smug and decadent, only perking up when Finn disappears, to their full-on shock when Silco goes, to the panic when Renni gets picked off as they realize that it's about to be a power struggle. Then, we get a few seconds to breathe as each of the three survivors gets a still showcasing what they're all about, and when we cut back... They're fighting over scraps on the ground like feral dogs, their earlier confidence and dignity under Silco nowhere to be found. Just excellent visual storytelling.
I love Savieka’s loyalty, you can see she only looks somewhat at the table when Silco’s there, the not when he’s gone. 😢❤ - thank u for the likes ❤ most i’ve even gotten 😅
I love this scene because when i see this i imagine myself as isha and feel the comfort of knowing that i am now safe in the hands of the most badass, deadliest person in all of Zaun.
I love this song. I love this scene so much too. And I love that this song is the start to jinx and isha’s relationship. I don’t think I’ll recover from this show
It's so refreshing to finally be able to hear lyrisc on YT instead of car honk, goose honk or.. whatever else is used every time theres "butt", "darn" or a "butterflies leg" in the lyrics.
I don't think she's deaf, she has no problem hearing Jinx throughout the whole show, and no it wasn't lips reading, she heard her even when she wasn't looking straight at her face
id say she more mute, she heard Jinx loud and clear . She could not speak though, probably never learned how too, based on who was after her, and what they were finna do to her. One can only speculate the type of life the girls/women have to live in Zaun.
Hadn’t noticed it first time around watching the show, but I love how Jinx actively pushes Isha’s head down before she shoots, she could have just shot around her but she actively made Isha look down so she wouldn’t see the men die infront of her! Big sister instinct really kicked in fast 💙
@@GZilla311 I do like to think that if it would've been any random dude being clumsy, he would've been dead. You can see that Jinx's eyes light up when Isha falls on her, but when she sees her, it stops shortly afterwards. I think Jinx just didn't see her as a threat at all and when she noticed the 3 goons up there, she was more focused on them because they do actually cause trouble. And I mean, if I was wrong, Isha would've gotten blasted.
@@SashaMasonVRFurthermore, Jinx recognized in Isha, the little sister than she herself was, and relative to Isha, chose to take up the big sister role she believes her own big sister abandoned. She's basically projecting onto Isha what she wishes Vi was for her.
2:31 Damn the details in this series are insain... You can hear the whistle blow, the sound when Jinx blows the gun, and the wind goes down the gun's barrel 😮😮
this song is so jinx coded. i mean "good luck killing me cause i'm already dead" and "get the f- out of my head" perfectly resonates with her inner feelings
Eyes of Jinx are the most amazing things in the entire show. Dead and empty. To put something like that in the animation, making it look sooo real is hard asf.
1:53 “pretty little lamb don’t come down here”when isha is going to fall down on jinx “Your gone sucker” as she fell down to jinx means that she’s gonna be in danger. And every time isha’s hat falls off means that she’s gonna be in danger and as we can see when she fell down on jinx her hat comes off. and when isha was following jinx we can see that her hat fell off.
Let’s be serious how is a soundtrack for a Netflix series soundtrack out playing your favorite artist???? Arcane is both show of the year and album of the year in my eyes
Theres just something compelling about a dude who was a genuine academic with actual theory crafting and purpose behind what he was doing besides "gettin money gettin paid" and more free freedom from an oppressive government that literally turned into a crimelord just to gain the power to make it happen. I swear Arcane is ;like 10 different full blown shows made into one singular plot because we as a collective don't have time to watch each work of art in our lifetime. I hope more stories hit on this character trope because it's a good one.
When you know that Isha is deaf you realize that the "cursed" part of Jinx little speech goes right above her head. No wonder that she thinks Jinx is a hero, she probably missed 75% of the stuff Jinx was saying XD
per one of the writers, she's neither deaf nor mute; she's nonverbal, which is to say that she doesn't talk but can. She's likely to be autistic, given that.
It's really amazing to understand lyrics. In one of the songs, it says, 'What we have done.' In another song, it says, 'What they have done to us..' 💔Good little details 💔
I love Jinx's facial expressions. They are simply brilliant in every way. I haven't found any comparison with other characters that have the same level of emotional expression compared to Jinx.
Isha was lucky shes a kid because if she was slightly older Jinx would made her suffer for just looking at her Btw I absolutely love this song so much that Ive already got it on my playlist and I can't stop listening to it, it just truly captivates Silco's character eith how much he kept things together and Jinx's current mental state so incredibly well.
Kid's got good instinct. How to protect yourself from mob bosses who want to harm you or worse? By sticking with the one person who can scare them even worse.
I will never forgive you netflix for not making the episodes of this series longer at the very least. They needed at least 3 episodes more for the second season not to feel rushed. Looking forward to the day y'all go bankrupt and another streaming platform that doesn't cancel 8 out of 10 shows takes over. And I hope animators find something better because y'all don't deserve them.
Vander, Victor, and Silco all tried to save the people of Zaun in completely different ways - Vander with community and diplomacy Victor with science and engineering Silco with strategy and power But individually, they all failed. In an alternate timeline, we get to see what happens when we know Vander and Silco worked together.
Oh my god, I just realized that when she says "Whenever you need to curse a sibling..." Isha is lip reading and Jinx isn't making it easy, especially since she turns away halfway through the sentence. Isha might have just read her lips to say "If you ever need a sibling" followed by Jinx pointing at a wanted poster of herself and walking away. Isha thought Jinx openly offered her to be her new sibling and neither of them questioned it!
@@eran5005There's no official conformation but multiple people have pointed out that she doesnt react or respond to sounds as sharply as a heading person would. To me it just seems way more plausible that Isha is deaf rather than mute, she's simply nonverbal due to no one teaching her how to speak or her not learning it herself. She's able to make noises however.
@ she covers her ears when Jinx shoots, right here in the music video, that’s a response to sound, I’d say? I also recall Jinx calling for her in their hideout when she was looking for her (while Isha was on the way to Stillwater), why would she do that if she knew Isha can’t hear her? I’m sure I can find more, but that will require getting back to comb through the episodes.
Does anyone know why those dudes in the masks are taking kids? I feel like this is a plot point that might have been further explored if Arcane was given a third season. I adore this show beyond reason but I definitely see things that could have been explored more. Such as a deeper reaction to the Undercity after Silco's death. I would have also liked to see Ambessa interact with more characters, like Sevika, Jinx or Ekko. I'm kinda bummed we never got to see an undercity vs Ambessa herself fight. I wish the martial law time was explored more too.
We know Isha is an Orphan living in the fissures so we can make some educated guesses. It's possible she stole something (like food or something valuable to exchange for food) from the goons without realizing who she is stealing from. Would fit with the street kid trope at least. Since we were not shown what exactly happened we can infer it wasn't all that important because what was important was to show what we did see: a desperate kid who landed herself in a Situation so dangerous that she'd happily take her chances with Jinx going forward
After Jayce and Vi went to demolish shimmer in the undercity, they freed a lot of children working as slaves. As a result, all this free labour was now "up for grabs" by the other chem barons who'd go around kidnapping the orphaned kids to use as child slave labour for their own operations. Yeah, Arcane is pretty dark.

@@andrew_rose I was single and childless when Arcane was released, now i have shown it to my grandchildren!
yeah bro, after all this time and now its a cult classic
Ladies nem gentleman:
Father of the year
What a shitty year
I cannot get enough of the opening sequence.
- thank u for the likes ❤ most i’ve even gotten 😅
Now compare the table to being the representative symbol for Zaun.... and it becomes an even more powerful moment.
I love how he got scared when he saw it's Jinx.
I love this scene because when i see this i imagine myself as isha and feel the comfort of knowing that i am now safe in the hands of the most badass, deadliest person in all of Zaun.
Yeah but... "Everyone around me dies"
😭 how u feeling now lmao
@LemonLoafEucharist Tbf that was isha's decision, pretty sure she (he? Idk) was safe but Isha decided to save jinx
I love this song. I love this scene so much too. And I love that this song is the start to jinx and isha’s relationship. I don’t think I’ll recover from this show

Realising Isha’s tone-deaf because she keeps looking at the gun and then Jinx’s mouth to lip read
Question: Why did Isha cover her ears when Jinx fired her gun?
I don't think she's deaf, she has no problem hearing Jinx throughout the whole show, and no it wasn't lips reading, she heard her even when she wasn't looking straight at her face
id say she more mute, she heard Jinx loud and clear . She could not speak though, probably never learned how too, based on who was after her, and what they were finna do to her. One can only speculate the type of life the girls/women have to live in Zaun.
@@hafsaaddou8792 a lot of deaf people are able to hear somewhat. Just at a small range of frequencies

Hadn’t noticed it first time around watching the show, but I love how Jinx actively pushes Isha’s head down before she shoots, she could have just shot around her but she actively made Isha look down so she wouldn’t see the men die infront of her! Big sister instinct really kicked in fast 💙
It would also be slower to shoot around her. She had three targets after all.. But that also 😂
2:16
The way Jinx's facial expressions softens when a she realised how scared Isha was🥺 must have reminded her of her younger self.🥺
Man Marcus King got big. I remember liking him back in the day because I love blues music haha
2:03 Isha's lucky she's a little kid in a situation beyond her control or Jinx might have just ended her life right there.
I don’t think Jinx cares enough.
I have decided the line "get your fingers out of my hair" as proof Silco did or at least helped Jinx with her braids.
He definitely did. Thats why au jinx has different hair
He did. It’s the same as her mom’s (whom he was friends with) 😢

Top 3 song of this season. Great production, awesome lyrics, outstanding singing. My favorite along with "Ma Meilleure Ennemie" and "Isha's Song"
So amazing.

Deaf? I thought she was just mute
per one of the writers, she's neither deaf nor mute; she's nonverbal, which is to say that she doesn't talk but can. She's likely to be autistic, given that.
I don't think Isha is deaf
@@Zacurafire I saw jinx using sign language to communicate in one scene, so isha had some issue

I just noticed here 1:53 the line "pretty little lamb don't come down here" followed by a frame of Isha 💀💀💀
(The lamb = Kindred = Death)
Jinx saves Isha here, but in the end Isha is Jinx's saviour.
Isha was lucky shes a kid because if she was slightly older Jinx would made her suffer for just looking at her
Btw I absolutely love this song so much that Ive already got it on my playlist and I can't stop listening to it, it just truly captivates Silco's character eith how much he kept things together and Jinx's current mental state so incredibly well.
Kid's got good instinct. How to protect yourself from mob bosses who want to harm you or worse? By sticking with the one person who can scare them even worse.
The foreshadowing was insane
I will never forgive you netflix for not making the episodes of this series longer at the very least. They needed at least 3 episodes more for the second season not to feel rushed. Looking forward to the day y'all go bankrupt and another streaming platform that doesn't cancel 8 out of 10 shows takes over. And I hope animators find something better because y'all don't deserve them.
Война банд зауна, их ликвидация ударной группой Кейтлин, "Диктатор Кейтлин" и что рассказал Джинкс Экко
Vander, Victor, and Silco all tried to save the people of Zaun in completely different ways -
Vander with community and diplomacy
Victor with science and engineering
Silco with strategy and power
But individually, they all failed.
Nah, you're reaching too far, man lol 😂
There was never any indication that Isha is deaf, only mute.
@eran5005 To be exact, Isha is theorized to have Frequency Deafness. She doesn't have total hearing loss, but she has a significant degree.

There were kids working in the shimmer factories in S1. Entirely possible they were taken for similar purposes
her eyes get brighter when isha falls on her then, goes to normal when she realizes isha is in trouble
