I have a AC30CC2. the only issue I had was rectifier tube fried in short order because of the standby switch. Using a weber copper cap rectifier and not using the standby.
@@j.b.2893 yeah the standby isn’t good for rectifier tubes, they tend to not handle the initial inrush of current. I have just been leaving the standby on and sticking with tube rectifier to soft start it. My only hesitancy with using SS rectifier is the increased plate voltage. These amps when using rectifier tube already exceed the max Ua of an EL84 ! lol
I've always loved the VOX sound, if I had the money, I'd have a couple in my studio.
