I like the fact that you have a bass or baritone voice. Harry Styles is a tenor 2 for reference along with most male performances. To your vocal teacher part, the second was the normal healthy singing voice. And you’re just too pretty to have that deep of a voice. You should have just used The National Athem or Church Hymms. Especially if your goal is to find YOUR voice.
Seriously. I'm trying to learn to sing just... decently. Not great, just not grating to everyone stuck in the car with me. And I keep getting discouraged because I sound like he did starting off. This is encouraging.
This isn’t supposed to be backhanded, but I love how brave you were about this. I struggle to post my clips if one note is off by a microtone, I feel like i have to record it again
@@colgate4646 oh my god i have to re-record shit so much because notes go sharp or flat. also humans can its just not common, usually only people who surrounded by music can tell the difference easier cause we are trained to. Tongue is everything for singing. He kept breathing with his shoulders moving, so he’s trying to sing without any diaphrgmic support! Learning that will improve his singing 10x. He’s got a gorgeous rich voice. Can’t wait to hear more. Try adding an “h” sounded before “eyes”, “h-eyes” to soften that “e” sound.
@@izzymoon4436a diaphragm is an organ in your body somewhere in your belly. You need to push out air from your diaphragm when singing (meaning pushing in your belly to get more air and support). If this doesn’t make sense I suggest watching videos of vocal coaches teaching how to sing with your diaphragm. :)
I just have to say as a vocal and sound healing coach, your determination and drive through this was beautiful to witness! Your shifts were amazing! 🙌🏻✨
I grew up mute due to a developmental issue, and always had a soft quiet and uncontrolled voice. Lately I’ve started singing in the car on my way to and from work, half an hour there and back. After only a week or two I noticed that I was hitting notes easier and that my speaking voice is louder and clearer. Never expected such great results in such a short amount of time! Gonna keep doing it, so much fun when you wake up and hear a voice you never thought you had in you
Bro I highly recommend this book called Freeing the Natural Voice by Kristin Linklater, I had a class that used her exercises to find what my voice actually sounds like. I have the habit of having grating, nasally voice. But when I go through the routine or at least my lazy version of it. My voice sounds more sweet and pleasant. Just breaking bad habits
I'm reading through these comments wondering how nobody said anything about the complete lack of breath control. You taught youself all about articulation and hitting the right notes - which is awesome and a necessary step in learning to sing and you did really well with that! Now you should focus on working out how to truly breathe in deeply and control your diaphragm. Look up keywords like breath control, diaphragm and then belting, once you're more advanced. You're on a good path and have a really nice sounding voice!
so something to focus on when singing is pronouncing the words fully and clearly and to not strain your voice too much at first to hit those high notes. i grew up signing but could never hit high notes until i started focusing solely on that. for some reason humming the high notes helped me learn to sing them and now a have a huge range. but good job, you can see inprovement!
I agree about making sure you enunciate and pronounce the works completely. Plus, it may be wiser to choose songs that are not so incredibly hard as "Shine". Good work, though. I can see the potential shining through. ;)
@@MarinusVesseurQuestion: Is Rubia from Honkai Impact 3rd a poor decision for this, then? To clarify, I have a roughly 3.5-ish octave range (not normal voice though lol). I'm something of a Soprano.
You have two things either of which MOST people do not. Tenacity and compassion. Simply don't stop. You've already PROVEN capable of significant change from arguably not entertaining to arguably entertaining. Here's the thing. You love music and singing "when it goes right". I am here to tell you I walked this very path and as you continue to experiment with real, consistent application (as you've already demonstrated), that little bumble bee vibrato in your super rich basso voice will get stronger and stronger, more and more relaxed until you can say and feel whatever you want while singing and you WILL SEND people. Only persist. I was liberated vocally by Seth Riggs himself, and continue to grow with watching great TH-camrs who teach many of his principles if not naming "speach level singing" per se in the their credits.
Firstly: the idea of showing the process is AMAZING. Usually people let others see only their "best versions" and it's so good to see it all. Secondly: my main thought is that maybe I don't hear a spectacular change in your voice (it doesn't mean I don't hear any change at all), but I definitely see how singing just became easier for you. You don't have so much struggle on your face as in the beginning, your body seems more relaxed. The notes that on the first videos seemed to even hurt you, on the last ones look just natural. At the same time, there is SOME change in your voice, for better of course - and that shows perfectly how sometimes we just need to learn "trying less" and relaxing to do something better 👏
Absolutely amazing to see this. So many people think if they can't sing something first time they'll never be able to sing it, but seeing the progress you have made after only 30 days is fantastic! The voice is like any other muscle, it needs training to reach its potential!
You have SO much potential and the fact that you've made major improvements in 30 days is really impressive. I'm a new subscriber and I'm glad I was recommended this video.
your tone, pitch & resonance def improved! like your voice sounds smoother & brighter, plus your range increased & your confidence new sub :) u inspired me to try practicing more
Literally. Wow. You’re brave my guy. I know I get so embarrassed when I try and practice my singing cuz I’m bad but it’s all about getting better and having fun! Good job dude, and you sound pretty good keep goin!
Remember that those are only 30 days and it's great to see what progress can be achieved within such a short time frame. Looking back at my voice throughout the last 10 years, it's incredible how your voice still changes after such a long time. Of course, some learn faster, some may have more effective vocal routines, better vocal coaches, etc. but with the available material and some effort, anyone can become a great singer. Keep going! :)
i've been singing for like 5 years and i know how difficult is for some to open up and show their progress like this bro, you are doing rlly good and improving fast, keep it up you going places man
Ok here's my advice if you are expanding your journey beyond this. You should feel 0 tension in the neck and jaw, if you do feel tension that means that you might be doing it wrong. Singing should literally feel easy, yes getting to that level requires practice but don't trade off your technique at the moment in order to sound good. That isn't going to fix the main problem. I notice that your voice is very soft and these songs that you are learning use a technique that people in the contemporary singing world refer to as belting. In order to belt first push all your air out in like a Ha sound you should feel your core at work while doing this. It doesn't mean push all your air out to get the sound out, it just means getting used to having that extra support. Without support the belting may result into a lot of tension that can lead to a voice crack. Now belting is loud, it may sound like you are screaming at first but all that I would define belting as is like a controlled scream. Try it in the high parts like in golden hour "I don't need no light to see you shine." I heard in the comments somebody said work on your pronunciation, in singing this is referred to as diction. It's really a simple fix, just have all of the consonants overly pronounced at first like the T and K sounds, think of a beatboxer. Then when you sing it should naturally fall into place, if it doesn't try reducing it in the session yourself. Like try pronouncing a really hard K doing and gradually reduce it till it sounds right. For breathing, this is honestly still to this day the hardest part of singing because it all begins with the breath. Honestly I've never heard of the bubble exercise but start with a metronome, place it at a time where it is suitable I normally prefer 70 bpm. Start with inhaling for 4 counts and exalling for 8, keep increasing and doubling the amount I typically just play with the numbers on the spot. This is supposed to also help the control and using your breath more efficiently. I loved seeing your progress and I would love to hear your voice further in the future.
Ahhh unfortunately I do feel tension in my neck or back of head mostly. Part of me thinks it’s because of my poor posture habits from using my computer & as well as poor technique. I do daily updates on youtube shorts and I’m making a 100 day update video soon. Thanks for the advice I’ll be sure to experiment with it! Really curious to see if I can learn how to belt
@@bsidewavy I also noticed you barely open your mouth and are really struggling achieve a resonate sound because of this. You should look up videos on improving resonance and mouth shapes for singing. Typically there will be a nicer sound with a more open throat and mouth, and then you can change the mouth shape to match the vowels.
Try looking at artists like James Blunt that have softer songs without belting - it might help you feel less pressure to do things that engage that tension, and you'll be able to practice other techniques
Such an amazing transformation!! Honestly I think your natural relaxed voice already sounds really good, once you're able to hit notes accurately without thinking you're gonna kill it!! One exercise that's really fun and goofy is finding a random sound you hear (fire alarm, siren, etc) and just pitch matching it or harmonizing with it for giggles (you'll be able to hear it blend in when you pitch match).
I think the process is a big part of what creates a uniqueness. Everyone begins doing an impression of their favourite singer and only through trial and error can we find our voice. Kerp it up!!
Love your confidence! Kudos to putting yourself out there. I just started training with an accomplished opera singer these last few months after beating my head against a wall for years and my voice has grown tremendously. Can't recommend enough having a great vocal coach if you're able to afford one. The improvement I see with a coach versus without one is a massive difference for me personally. (I've trained with numerous vocal coaches, but for whatever reason everything is finally clicking with this latest instructor who also just happens to be an internationally acclaimed opera singer and one of the greatest overall musicians I have ever worked with in my life.) I'm singing C#5's now in full voice which I never thought I would be able to do. One thing I would recommend that my instructor is emphasizing in our lessons that I feel like I see you doing throughout this video is focusing too much on "how you sound" versus shaping your entire body into an instrument for singing. Vowel positions, jaw placement, posture, position of the larynx, coordination of the onset, whether or not you're engaging in proper breath support, etc. are fundamental to producing pleasing tones. The more you focus on how you sound at the expense of how you are generating sound, the more your overall sound may suffer unless you're simply getting lucky. Can be really easy for us as creatives in general to rely on luck or "inspiration" but we don't want to rely on inspiration, we want to rely on technique. Then if inspiration comes to dance alongside our technical foundation we are all the more blessed by the muses of music. Anyways, I'm sure you're receiving a lot of advice that may or may not contradict itself (best of luck in reconciling all of it - it's a process and your journey and particular instrument is uniquely your own to navigate) but thought I would throw my two cents in as another developing singer. Subscribed and looking forward to witnessing your unfolding process!
That’s sweet to hear and I’m excited since I’m getting my first vocal lessons soon. Hoping to experience something similar to you! That’s true though because with right technique your sound will naturally come and won’t be forced. But as a recording artist I guess I definitely rely on trying to sound good since I hear back my take right away but I’m focusing on my technique to get a better sound. Thank you! & thanks for subscribing!
I loved this. As someone who’s self taught in everything, there’s so much value in finding your way thru feeling. The breath control will come, it was the last thing for me and it changed everything. Isn’t it so rewarding when something just clicks?! I found more breath control when I started singing every note with “na na na” because you can feel the closeness of your vocal cords, it also helped me actually looking at a picture of what the vocal cords look like to see how they’re supposed to be closed, which will add richness to your tone, reduce the air coming out with each note, and allow you to sing longer without gasping for more air. Any air you’re not dedicating to sound should be kept back. I’m absolutely no expert so if anything I said is wrong anybody can feel free to correct me. I just know sometimes it’s helpful to hear things stated in a non-professional way because when you’re not trained the formal terms don’t help as much as the feeling and the way someone explains something is everything. Only you can apply those explanations with your own mind-body connection. I was pushing way too hard, trying to bubble out to top or my stomach for a while because I saw it in some video, breathing from my feet for a while because I saw it in some video, and none of that worked for me as much as thinking about expanding my mid to lower back when breathing, and thinking about all my sound coming from my solar plexus. My point is everyone is different and everyone will give you their advice, but do what works for you, and build on every “click” you achieve. ❤
I'm proud of you for putting in the work and practicing, but also proud of you for noticing when you need to take breaks. I hope you stick with it and continue to get better. Have a great day~
I love that you sounded the best on your own song. The other ones are probably using different techniques/different ranges than you (I don’t know music terminology) and it’s obvious that when you’re writing for your own voice it just works best. You sound so amazing!
Equalizing the mouth space for every vowel will help you tremendously. As a voice teacher id say your voice is " too far back", meaning its not resonating in the mask . ( Im used to working with opera singers who need to project without a microphone) Humming and practicing on "ng" would help that, but we create our own unique sound, so if you are happy with your sound, dont mess with it. Very good work. Imagine if you sang 2 hours a day ( morning and evening)
I'm not an expert but I took voice lessons for a year and was in choir for a few years, and your voice sounds like it can hit a really low register, you might be an excellent bass. So going for songs with a lower register or taking it down an octave may be better to start training your voice.
honestly the fact you can post yourself this vulnerable... baring your soul and flaws and accomplishments... its such an awesome feeling and very attractive lol
i have sung almost everyday of my life since conception and it makes me so happy to see other people go thru their own vocal journey :") its really magical to see what one can achieve by simply just doing it. people always ask me how to sing better (im not that good) and honestly, ive just been singing to songs my whole life that the casual level at which i sing at is just second nature. i think a lot can be learned subconsciously from just doing something repeatedly. drilling things into habit can make things come as easily to you as it does someone who is naturally gifted
Hey! Fellow singer here who's been trying to learn since age 8/9 but always told i didnt have the voice. It's not always about technique, also, but mostly about confidence and getting over the cringe of your own voice. Once you're past that the rest will flow with no time. I skipped from day one to day 30 and I already heard immense improvement in your voice AND confidence. KEEP IT UP even if just for under the shower. But my mindset is go big or go home so either way DONT GIVE IT UPPPP Love u stranger
Yes, the confidence and lack of fear of hearing how ridiculous your untrained voice sounds is the first step to sounding good. Don't fear sounding bad, keep singing and you'll improve...
Join a community choir, being amongst all the soprano, alto, tenor and bass parts immerses you in harmony and yes sing as often as you can. Your voice is your instrument and kind of a muscle that gets more fluent the more you use it. But don't over practice either. Enjoy
I've been singing every day for a few months now,and there's a massive improvement in my voice not only in singing, but so in talking normally.!! For everyone who tries to become a good singer, patience and practice is key♥️‼️
A thing that changed my singing process was drinking a lot. A teacher told me that the throat is one of the last things that get hydrated when drinking water, so you gotta drink a lot a couple hours before actually singing, so your voice is actually hydrated. Now, my throat almost never dries out 👍
@@jakecubbyvaughn4544 i definitely Had my Problems writing it. If you dont mind, it would be helpful If you corrected it and tell me whats weird about it, so I can get better at english.
@@baggpagg2014 it was a good point, I just laughed when I read "A thing that changed my singing process was drinking a lot". Fluids are important, but it just sounds funny phrased like that
Wow that honestly is such a big Improvement! Also so brave of you to show yourself singing even before you practiced a lot. Most people only show the best of themselves, so you also showing your process from decent to a lot better was amazing to see and hear!
I know I’m a bit late but I just wanted to say that your persistence is so admirable! It took me probably 2 years to find my voice, and I’m no expert, but one thing I would tell you is to push your boundaries. And mess up! Messing up is so important to learning, by doing this you can find your boundaries and work to push them to the limit.
People may not understand how important to witness such things are. Coming from my own experience of developing my own voice, i always heard others best takes. I would almost never hear anyone fail since i didnt have ppl singing around me since i was the only one and all i could hear is ppl all over the internet. And this focus on weaknesses, bad parts and what not killed my enthusiasm and desire to sing so, so many times to the point where id sometimes stop singing for months if not over a year. We all go through the process of improvement and our mistakes are ours to own. Its ok to be where you are even though it may not feel like it. Realize that literally EVERY SINGLE HUMAN BEING at some point sucked at singing. Literally. No person came to the singing world singing like a pro. And everyone, im betting, made mistakes while improving.
He’s so optimistic I love it. I’ve always loved singing, if I could make a career out of it I’d love to. I definitely want to improve my singing. Gotta save up for lessons lol.
You've got a naturally great voice! It's deep, warm, and rich. The way you keep doing the mouth covering technique reminds me a lot of myself doing the lip trills haha. It's all about feeling and finding the sensation to be conscious of how a good vocal coordination is and keep sustaining. Anyway, I'm sure you'll be a great singer with your lovely voice! Keep singing and all the best!
Just stumbled across your channel for the first time, and I'm not sure why you showed up on my feed, but I'm very glad you did! As someone with a deviated septum who was always teased for my voice by my peers, by strangers on the internet, and even one of my teachers in elementary school who plugged her nose to mock me in front of the class, I just never had the confidence to sing in front of strangers. Watching you practice, make mistakes, and then surprise yourself when you hit some nice notes was awesome to watch. I could never be this vulnerable in front of a camera, and you really improved SO much in just a short time. Amazing job brother.
This is actually so cool to see, i sing so much at home i forgot what the progress was like. Some tips that helped me were humming something before and copying the throat positions and breaking down runs
This video was so inspiring. It's so encouraging to see you improve in just 30 days. I used to practice every day when I had a more relaxed job but since starting a very intense one 2 years ago I kind of stopped more practice and felt very discouraged at how much range and skill I'd lost. You've encouraged me not to give up and to start recording myself every day no matter how bad I think it is. Thanks ^__^
This is AMAZING!!! It took me years to improve my singing and I’m still working on it. The dedication and the improvements here are so significant- I hope you realize how impressive it actually is :))) this is so so so cool - for the tension check out Cheryl Porter, she emphasizes that in her methods on TH-cam and in her course :)
This is super inspirational thank you! I'm currently struggling with a feeling of lacking progress but you motivate me to keep trying. Your tone is so pleasant!
Damn dude that progress is crazy! You’ve motivated me to start learning to sing myself :) I love singing so much and vocals are some of the most beautiful music to my ears but I never dare to sing myself bc i find my voice so ugly… But if one can make so much progress in a single month I think I might just find the courage to go at it. Cheers to you!
Actually really impressed with your vocals. You absolutely have the voice, control is really all you need to focus on. You nailed it on Adore You. That song really fits your voice well. You're also really brave for putting yourself out there. I'm one of those people who actually can sing decently. I definitely have no voice to be trying out for American Idol or anything but was in honors choir in grade school yet still won't sing in front of other people unless of course, when I was an in a group where no one could pull out my voice from the others lol. Trying out for honors choir, in front of just my choir teacher was hard enough. Trying out for solos just didn't happen lol even in my 30s, get me in a car by myself or singing when no one else is home, I may not sound like a superstar but I rock it like I am but if anyone is around I don't sing lol. I've been through a hella lot in my life as a disabled person with a rare disease so I don't get embarrassed easily. With my medical history, if I go to the hospital or a doctor's appointment and have to take off my clothes for whatever reason, I can rip those babies off faster than a stripper. I can talk about my bowel movements in great detail and as easily as if I were talking about the weather or something. When I was paralyzed I had to be totally re-potty trained. Although that's probably the most humiliating experience of my life and took 8 months, by about month three, I got to a point where I could crack a joke at my own expense about peeing the bed as an adult, buy a plastic bed cover, and Depends at the store as easily as I could buy a gallon of milk and could tell the medical staff ” Better your bed than mine” lol. With that.being said, I'm still extremely uncomfortable singing in front of someone and you sang in front of god knows how many someone's. So, voice aside, I have to give you a lot of credit for that. You have the voice and that's the biggest and most important part. Some say everyone can sing. I'll be brutally honest. I was a sign language interpreting major and I know some Deaf individuals, one in particular who was born totally deaf and had never heard a sound in his life but was born to a very musically inclined family and learned to play the drums and sing by feeling family members throats and trying to match the vibrations. I also know hearing individuals who can sing nowhere near as well as some of these Deaf individuals. Not saying their a lost cause but some of them can hear perfectly fine yet sound like a cat giving birth while being attacked by another animal lol. You have a good voice and some control so have a lot of potential and obviously don't have a deathly fear of singing in front of others so give yourself credit where credit is deserved. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Thanks for the comment :) well singing in front of a camera for me is different that in front of people. Have never performed before and that will surely be nerve racking haha.
you improved SO MUCH! the one thing id suggest is practicing hard enunciation. in certain parts you would sorta trail off on a word or not enunciaate and it would add alot if you did that! 12:40 - 12:50 is a good example of that. you did so well!
Dude the moments of laughing at yourself are soooo relatable 😂 like it’s hard to take the technique practices seriously sometimes cause they sound so goofy but then when I actually hit a note that I couldn’t before I’m like 👀 so that’s what that does Edit: you have a new subscriber by the way 💛 your vibes are so lovely :,)
Amazing progress! I would recommend that you look into things like breath support (diaphragmatic breathing) and vowel placement, while also being open to new things! It seems like you've already been exposed to the weird side of singing, though those weird things work which is the best thing about it lol. New York vocal coaching is a really good singing resource, though I would recommend trying to find a credible vocal coach to really help you boost your skills. Keep up the good work and stay conscious of when you need to take a break.
I feel like I’m watching myself train all over again. I just started doing dedicated practice recently and I relate to every step. All the takes. God I have years of takes. I appreciate you. You’re the best. Keep posting. You have a forever fan in me.
Btw when you were singing can’t help falling in love…I found myself naturally wanting to sing alongside you. And I did and I had so much fun. You’re very talented.
One piece of advice I’d give from this video is song choice. Most male pop songs are in the tenor register but it sounds like you’re below that. I would try and find your natural register and pick your song choice from there. Well done that’s some great progress.
Wait omg the improvement is crazy this is so cool, and you have a beautiful soft voice! Sing songs in a way that fit YOUR unique and beautiful voice instead of trying to sing them in a way you think people want to hear
this has been a really interesting watch! i should do this too omg i usually have random bursts of singing a lot but i have no set routine at the moment and i'm not taking voice lessons this semester so everything is a disaster
seems like we started our singing journey together. This really helped me to continue uploading my covers on YT. I hate my voice, but I've been working on it let's see what's gonna happen.
I remember coming across this very thumbnail a few months ago just before the page got refreshed... but it stuck in my mind and you don't know how inspired I was! Like, practice and consistency can enhance our skills to an amazing level, so keep working hard, you've got this! And I'm only too happy to have rediscovered this video, to have found your channel. Thank you! And yup your songs and you are ✨✨ :)
I must say, you are amazing for doing this, I am also a beginner at 20 I’ve started taking singing classes and I improved a lot since then. I’ve also started piano lessons a few days ago. It’s never too late we will be amazing! I wouldn’t have sung golden hour as my first song because it’s too difficult 😂 but my very first homework song that my teacher gave me was the joker and the queen by ed Sheeran. It was an amazing first song What she taught me was to practice with BR NI NE NA NO NU ng (basically you stick the top part of your tongue to your palate and you need to do a very light sound” This improved my voice a lot Try to put you voice more forward it’s gonna sound better Your voice is amazing anyway, very warm !
one thing that always made me confused is why my voice sounded different recorded and while the other sounded so good. but the thing is the recorded version is how we really sound. had to get over the initial trauma and record myself more.
You have a naturally pleasant vocal timbre. Kudos for working to cultivate new vocal tools. I can definitely hear an improvement in confidence and tone.
So awesome to see this whole process!! KEEP SINGING!!! I think it's the best hobby. I may be biased, but it's so freeing I think you'll see better results when you relax on some days and not focus as much on tech! I also think that enunciation will help your overall sound a lot. Chewing those consonants!
you sound so good!! thank you for being so real and vulnerable by posting this it shows that anyone really can learn to sing. i’m a few months in & finally seeing some progress it takes dedication but it’s worth it. i love being able to sing my little heart out!
Very good progress! One aspect that I think will really help you is tone color or "placement". You often sing with a dark tone color that is somewhat "swallowed" and far back in the throat. You can "place" your tone more forward towards your nasal cavity which creates a brighter tone. You should try singing with nasalty to get the feeling, or try singing on the voiced consonants "m" "n" or "ng". I thought your tone was the best the times that I heard it go brighter
Omggg I would love to train you!!! Some virtual lessons would be lit! You did sooo good in This month. You are obviously naturally musical. I hope you continue on this vocal journey.
By the way the love/hate song is an original! Listen to it here 😊 th-cam.com/video/sRCN9OtJo28/w-d-xo.html
Especially if your goal is to find YOUR voice.
in a world where people love posting the best parts of themselves, seeing the process was so nice to observe
Haha thanks yeah it’s interesting! I love watching progress videos haha
I second that
Exactly!

use those lip brrrrs to warmup or any kind of warmups
I did this but my problem is, while I don't sing out of tune, I just don't like my voice :(
Oh man I can't believe no one has told me this technique. Game changer!
LMAO
Tongue is everything for singing. He kept breathing with his shoulders moving, so he’s trying to sing without any diaphrgmic support! Learning that will improve his singing 10x. He’s got a gorgeous rich voice. Can’t wait to hear more.
Try adding an “h” sounded before “eyes”, “h-eyes” to soften that “e” sound.
What does diaphramic mean?
@@izzymoon4436a diaphragm is an organ in your body somewhere in your belly. You need to push out air from your diaphragm when singing (meaning pushing in your belly to get more air and support). If this doesn’t make sense I suggest watching videos of vocal coaches teaching how to sing with your diaphragm. :)
Ayy thank you! I’ll try that out :)
@@lady_victoria2008 ok thank you
Diaphragm is relaxed while you're singing...the support comes from a good singing technique, you dont have to do anything with your diaphragm
I just have to say as a vocal and sound healing coach, your determination and drive through this was beautiful to witness! Your shifts were amazing! 🙌🏻✨
Thank you so much!
Question if I may, madam, when using mixed voice, are muscles being worked to a degree that they change or strengthen physically? Tyvm
Gonna keep doing it, so much fun when you wake up and hear a voice you never thought you had in you
That’s super cool and inspiring. Keep it up!
I have a similar issues and your comment inspired me to try this and hopefully get my voice to be more louder and clearer :)
You're on a good path and have a really nice sounding voice!
awesome thank you! definitely working on that now
You’re voice is really good! Keep practicing and unleash it.
thank u! i must unleash it
@@bsidewavyu gotta get that awakening
I'm only 45 seconds in but Im enjoying your energy already and how straightforward this video is
Thank you !
I was so impressed how you had so much progress in only 30 days!! You're on the right track, keep going!!
thank you!
so something to focus on when singing is pronouncing the words fully and clearly and to not strain your voice too much at first to hit those high notes. i grew up signing but could never hit high notes until i started focusing solely on that. for some reason humming the high notes helped me learn to sing them and now a have a huge range. but good job, you can see inprovement!
Oh awesome I’ll try that out! Thanks 😊
Heck ya gotta stay consistent!
Can you recommend some of those TH-camrs? 🙏
Some of us don’t have a choice. Produce, Earn, Pay, Eat, Rinse, Repeat-- or die.
Yup for real! It’s a beautiful instrument

Keep going! :)
Thanks!
You really think so? I never thought I could sing but always wanted to.
@@davidmarkleach Definitely! And don't let other people stop you. You'll get there!

That's brave man posting the imperfect parts. Thanks for inspiring the rest of us! Great job!
Haha thanks. Glad I could inspire!
@@kingquesoIV Oo I love open throat technique. Took my classical singing on another level.
@@caspergotlost Well you can't get better at something without failure, and belting is pretty important nowadays in the pop world.
Thank you! Yeah I need to practice my pitch hella
Keep practicing. I'm 3 years in. Your voice is going to be amazing. I can hear it already
Aw thank you! Can’t wait to be 3 years deep
@@bsidewavy you'll get there. I need to be making content like you do.
I think the process is a big part of what creates a uniqueness. Everyone begins doing an impression of their favourite singer and only through trial and error can we find our voice. Kerp it up!!
thanks!
(I've trained with numerous vocal coaches, but for whatever reason everything is finally clicking with this latest instructor who also just happens to be an internationally acclaimed opera singer and one of the greatest overall musicians I have ever worked with in my life.)
I'm singing C#5's now in full voice which I never thought I would be able to do.
Thank you! & thanks for subscribing!
i really respect you for sticking to this, i wish you good luck on your journey brother
Thank you! Almost at day 100
I loved this. ❤
i just tried the nanana thing and wow i think i feel a difference already. will try this when i practice tomorrow! thanks :)
This is so simply explained, thanks!
I'm proud of you for putting in the work and practicing, but also proud of you for noticing when you need to take breaks. I hope you stick with it and continue to get better. Have a great day~
Thank u! Day 91 today
@@bsidewavy awesome! Hope you post beyond the 100 days. Today's day 1 for me. 😉
I love that you sounded the best on your own song. The other ones are probably using different techniques/different ranges than you (I don’t know music terminology) and it’s obvious that when you’re writing for your own voice it just works best. You sound so amazing!
thats very true :)
Eventually I want to work my way to more practice definitely :) 2 sessions would be perfect. Thank ya for the tips!
I'm not an expert but I took voice lessons for a year and was in choir for a few years, and your voice sounds like it can hit a really low register, you might be an excellent bass. So going for songs with a lower register or taking it down an octave may be better to start training your voice.
Your voice is so deep and rich! Keep practicing!! SOOO MUCH POTENTIAL
thank you!!
honestly the fact you can post yourself this vulnerable... baring your soul and flaws and accomplishments... its such an awesome feeling and very attractive lol
i have sung almost everyday of my life since conception and it makes me so happy to see other people go thru their own vocal journey :") its really magical to see what one can achieve by simply just doing it. people always ask me how to sing better (im not that good) and honestly, ive just been singing to songs my whole life that the casual level at which i sing at is just second nature. i think a lot can be learned subconsciously from just doing something repeatedly. drilling things into habit can make things come as easily to you as it does someone who is naturally gifted
Yup of course. All about practice :)
I loved seeing the progression throughout the video over the course of a month! you've inspired me to improve and seek vocal lessons too :)
Yeees do it
But my mindset is go big or go home so either way DONT GIVE IT UPPPP

These tips instantly improved my singing. Something I haven’t been able to do in years! Love how the internet is helping you develop your singing ❤
Join a community choir, being amongst all the soprano, alto, tenor and bass parts immerses you in harmony and yes sing as often as you can. Your voice is your instrument and kind of a muscle that gets more fluent the more you use it. But don't over practice either. Enjoy

A thing that changed my singing process was drinking a lot. A teacher told me that the throat is one of the last things that get hydrated when drinking water, so you gotta drink a lot a couple hours before actually singing, so your voice is actually hydrated.
Now, my throat almost never dries out 👍

I know I’m a bit late but I just wanted to say that your persistence is so admirable! It took me probably 2 years to find my voice, and I’m no expert, but one thing I would tell you is to push your boundaries. And mess up! Messing up is so important to learning, by doing this you can find your boundaries and work to push them to the limit.

Ive been trying to learn to sing too and I can relate to the struggle. Big Respect. Im excited to see the results after a year
Ayy thanks!
And everyone, im betting, made mistakes while improving.
yup. the process is painful sometimes lol

Thank you so much ☺️
This is actually so cool to see, i sing so much at home i forgot what the progress was like.
Thanks ^__^

12:40 - 12:50 is a good example of that. you did so well!
very true i need to work on that :)
Love how real this was. Enjoyable, chill and fun. Couldn't help but giggle and laugh along when he was laughed mid-singing as well.
Haha glad you enjoyed!
Dude the moments of laughing at yourself are soooo relatable 😂 like it’s hard to take the technique practices seriously sometimes cause they sound so goofy but then when I actually hit a note that I couldn’t before I’m like 👀 so that’s what that does
Edit: you have a new subscriber by the way 💛 your vibes are so lovely :,)
Hahaha yeah they are weird sometimes! Thank you :)
omg I just realized ur songs "daydreaming" and "dopamine" are on my playlist and I didn't even realize.. i love these songs and i'm so proud of you!
Yooo no way!! That’s awesome haha crazy you found your way here :)
Thanks! Yeah I’m getting a coach that I found locally so I can’t wait to start lessons

One piece of advice I’d give from this video is song choice. Most male pop songs are in the tenor register but it sounds like you’re below that. I would try and find your natural register and pick your song choice from there.
Well done that’s some great progress.
Yeah I already pitch songs down. So maybe I can find some others but it’s hard since I’m trying to sing songs I like haha

I wouldn’t have sung golden hour as my first song because it’s too difficult 😂 but my very first homework song that my teacher gave me was the joker and the queen by ed Sheeran. It was an amazing first song
What she taught me was to practice with
BR
NI NE NA NO NU
ng (basically you stick the top part of your tongue to your palate and you need to do a very light sound”
This improved my voice a lot
Try to put you voice more forward it’s gonna sound better
Your voice is amazing anyway, very warm !
Awesome glad u just started too! Than you very much :)
Honestly the progress was insane in my opinion! If you continued you will soon become extremely good i guess ^-^
thanks! and still practicing
This is amazing! I learned how to sing high and low but all with practice... im glad practice helped you too 😂!
Practice makes perrrrfect
the vulnerability is inspiring, thanks for sharing this.
one thing that always made me confused is why my voice sounded different recorded and while the other sounded so good. but the thing is the recorded version is how we really sound. had to get over the initial trauma and record myself more.
Haha. Yea u sound different on recording for sure
You have a naturally pleasant vocal timbre. Kudos for working to cultivate new vocal tools. I can definitely hear an improvement in confidence and tone.
thank u!
So awesome to see this whole process!! KEEP SINGING!!! I think it's the best hobby. I may be biased, but it's so freeing
I think you'll see better results when you relax on some days and not focus as much on tech! I also think that enunciation will help your overall sound a lot. Chewing those consonants!
thanks for watching!
wow, how brave you are! That is so cool to show your singing to the world! Sending you love ☀️
i have a couple videos about my journey
I like how you discovered chest voice and head voice. I can’t wait till you try mix!
Can’t wait as well!
@@bsidewavy I’m going to keep watching your progress because this is beautifull
you sound so good!! thank you for being so real and vulnerable by posting this it shows that anyone really can learn to sing. i’m a few months in & finally seeing some progress it takes dedication but it’s worth it. i love being able to sing my little heart out!
tyty
I like your very clear voice, keep working hard, you can do it!
Thanks :)
Thanks! Been working on my placement a lot recently
Definitely obvious improvement on the pitch! Good job!
Thank u!
This was so cool! I love how much open your throat sounds after the challenge, it really pops your voice much more
Thank yaaa
Im in the same boat bro, but im about to start my journey! Wonderful job so far and being proactive!
Happy you’re starting!
This shows skills can be learned through practice and nothing to be ashamed about it.
Omggg I would love to train you!!! Some virtual lessons would be lit! You did sooo good in This month. You are obviously naturally musical. I hope you continue on this vocal journey.
i have a vocal coach already but thank you!!
Singing is a skill, some develop it naturally early on while others need time/practice to get there. The more you do it the better you will get at it
