@@erikeriks - I don’t know about that. People think they can do all sorts of stuff pros can do. Take boxing, football, and basketball just to name a few. Most people can get good enough at those things within 6 months to a year to at least have fun and not get laughed at, even acting, but singing is on a completely different level IMO.
Mad respect for the guy! Not sure if anyone here realizes just how hard it is to listen to how you used to sing, let alone show to other people your vulnerable side. You are doing a great job man!
your tip about visualing pitch horizontally vs vertically made a WORLD of difference for me. Thank you for sharing, and all the best for your musical journey!!!
@@Sartinewat-1221 so to sing higher notes using the chest voice, you NEED to increase the volume. imagining that as throw and that you have to be louder in order to hit those notes helps with connecting the dots. That is not the only way though, in practice you'll mostly be singing higher notes using head voice. but it is essential to sing high notes in chest voice when you're starting out. It helps with dynamics and opening your voice up.
Love this! So many singing progress videos the person could already sing WAAY above average from the start. This one we get to see an actual normal person making realistic progress. The control you managed to achieve over your higher register in just 3 months is amazing. I saw your 100 days of singing video a few months ago and felt really inspired not to give up on my own voice and this video has once again filled me with motivation all over again. You are now my official go-to when I am lacking motivation to keep practicing.
Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing your singing journey publicly. I'm going through my own right now after decades of pushing this passion into the dark because of my own negative self beliefs. It is appreciated and incredibly inspirational. ❤
I really love this for you! It takes courage to post the beginning stages but that's what makes it so real. Thanks for sharing your journey, you can only get better from here :)
Man after watching how you sounded when you started, and then listening to your track "I can't even Blame You"....im mind blown. Instantly put it on my spotify Playlist. Well fuckin done
Nice one, brother. I’m a very beginner in this like brand new. Seeing your improvement makes me happy and also gives me hope that even I will be able to sing in due time. Only regret I have is that I didn’t start it in my teens and now I’m in my early 20s. If I started earlier I probably would have been able to sing by my 20s but all well if it ends well. I’m finally putting my foot forward and that’s the most important thing.
dope going with the deeper tone singing voice bro. Shits fire. Literally learning how to sing for no reason at all other then just enjoying it & actually wanting to sound better then the average person is fun & exciting
As someone who's always wanted to take vocal lessons but never got the opportunity some of these tips really helped. Utmost respect for sharing your journey dude! Keep going this is awesome!!!
this is so helpful and inspiring! I also struggle with too much air in my voice, i'd really appreciate it if you could do a more in depth video of how you managed to reach such a full voice as shown by the end of the video and the excersizes that helped you with it :)
It’s so sweet how you always get so excited when you do some progress! I am so happy for you! And thank you for showing the process in such an authentic way. I think sometimes people tend to forget, that singing is not always just easy and needs a lot of practice. Keep it up!🫶🏻🔥
As someone currently in college studying opera, I find it cool to see someone genuinely passionate about wanting to sing better and relishing every moment of it. That's what it's all about and sometimes that's hard to remember in a world where I'm now surrounded by so much competition and insanity, so thank you for this!
thanks for posting this!! super inspiring. i've always wanted to sing and so i just started taking vocal lessons too. i'm hoping down the line i'll make great progress just as you :D
Been taking lessons for a little over a year now. Definetly got better but still a whole lot of room to improve. You have improved significantly too 😋 Appearantly it takes 2-3 years of practice to be able to sing "good".
You have a really nice voice, its just the pitch and the confidence and thats about it. like you're quite breathy in your singing which is quite soothing so once you get the pitch, the highs, and the lows down pat you'll sound amazing
Keep goin man and grats. I started singing in December 2022. Since then I been working on my breathwork, vocal lesson and vocal technique daily by my self self since. I dont have the luxury of a vocal coach. But I see a huge improvement since then. Ofc its a good value to get a vocal coach if you can. :) It also makes the more inspiring that you also make your own songs. :)
You sound like this singer named snow You make me inspired because I have a low voice and I hate hearing myself sing if I’m not singing along to music You’re awesome man!
It's been a long while since I last watched a video from beginning to end without skipping. In nowadays standards, the value of this video is almost unprecedent. This is exactly the type of video that made you YT what it is today, and precisely the type of video we don't find anymore... thank you. Here's my like 👍
This is so nice to see :) I’ve been singing for a while and while I know I’m getting better it’s more like small things but it’s reminding me of when I first started to sing and just experimenting with things til it worked for me. And also recording myself and listening was so huge!!! I honestly should get back to that. amazing vid, best of luck with ur singing (and music making!) journey!!!!
That last example you sounded and looked very relaxed. That is key man. If anything, even if you are trying to hit high and passionate notes, the more you can get your vocal cords as relaxed as possible to hit the notes, the better.
I get this recommended. Cool and vulnerable that you share this. Listening to it your speaking voice is so much different then your singing voice. I am mimicking it as I watch. What I learned is that I wanted to have 'control' of my singing voice, so I put pressure on it where it wasn't natural. I hear this in your voice. It should be effortless, free. Let's go!
8:01 is seriously the best I've heard you sound! I'm a singer too and it took sooo long for me to find the stye of singing that suits my voice the best. I wanted to sing clear and belty, like a disney princess, but I've found my vocals sound the best in songs like billie, olivia rodrigo or anson seabra. softer, breathier. And I think an interesting video would be you trying different singing styles, like listen to a justin bieber song and try to mimick exactly how he sound, then go on to ed sheeran, eminem, try different things, experiment. Because hearing 8:01 I'm thinking maybe you're in the wrong track trying to sing low and breathy, maybe a more clear, strong voice would suit you better?
Hey man, really enjoyable video, well done on the progress you made in only 3 x months🙌🏾 Even though it’s still early in your vocal journey, it’s evident you’re grasping the concepts. Keep progressing, there is so much still to discover but the pay off is worth it. I can hear you have a really pillowy smooth mix tone in your vocal sound that will only shine brighter and extend further, as it continues to come out more💯
Really nice improvements in a short time! It's great inspiration for people to see an "average" voice being able to improve like that. dude, the one really important thing that really hit me now is when you mentioned visualizing high notes, I have been visualizing them in a vertical scale as well and if you imagine it in a horizontal scale really makes it easier
