Hey! Thank you so much for the great reviews! Im using the WaterWalker for a couple months now. Very pleased with the quality, stability, and performance. I’m a 5’5 guy. I’ve ordered their new Explorer 🤩 can’t wait to step on it and give it a try!!
I am using the Waterwalker 132 since more than one year...very robust and stable! This new Expedition seems interesting for long tours..I will evaluate it!
Great review, very comprehensive! I was wanting a longer narrower board for speed/distance and this seems to fit the bill. I was also considering the Nixy Manhattan G4 but the 28" width intimidates me, probably less versatile. The Red Paddle 12-6 Sport is perfect but major outlay. This board, judging from the review, seems like a great balance between the two. I'm gonna watch more of your reviews. Any other specific videos you could recommend watching would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for such an in depth analysis:)
No worries, watch these ones too : th-cam.com/video/TzIzH1AXlO8/w-d-xo.html and th-cam.com/video/k_0nNWbN9Ag/w-d-xo.html . Lets us know any questions after also. But best to write a comment on our SUPboarder site. YT is really bad a not telling us that people have commented on threads like this when we have already got back to the original comment (hope that makes sense). Thanks Reuben
Hey there @supboarder... I'm about to order a Waterwalker 126 for my wife, who's a beginner, small, and needs stability. For myself... I'm new to paddleboarding (we've done it a few times this summer) but I have some experience canoeing on rivers. I'm 5'-11" and only 68kg. For my weight, this Expedition 138 seems to be a great match as my interests vary between all-rounding (with family) and a bit of longer paddling (but maybe not true touring) where I'd enjoy straight tracking and more speed. QUESTION... At my height, will the board feel more tippy than when a shorter person rides it? Most reviewers categorize people as short/light, or tall/heavy. I'm tall/skinny/light!
Also... another reviewer said actual width is 28.5", not the published 30". Another reason I hesitate on the Exped 138 (but it still looks like a fun board!).
We think it would suit your requirements. You are quite a lightweight rider so stability shouldn't be a problem. Interesting that the actual width is 28.5". Each board differs so generally you would receive one that is on or near the 30" mark. Hope this helps. Thanks
When installing the fin, I fumbled with the nut that slides to the back. It looked like your nut was already in place? Perhaps even glued into the right place? A new board for me, so looking on advice on that little fin nut.
I found your review very informative & helpful and based on it on other reviewers high marks ordered the board last night. I didn’t order the carbon blade. Can you tell me how much of a difference that will make to my paddle experience.
Hey Shelly sure thing. A carbon paddle will just allow you to paddle further for less effort. It will be lighter in your hands and make you paddle a little faster too. You will be able to do the same stuff with the cheaper paddle but it the future if you are SUPing regularly a carbon paddle would be a good investment. Thanks Reuben
Had last years model of this board. Worst board I’ve ever been on. Super unstable and came with zero rocker upfront. Like dead flat. Thurso let me return the board, but claimed no defects were found

Yes these boards make great first time boards.

Thanks for your feedback Cody. Not sure what to say to it though. 😉 Our boards have all been perfect. I hope you have it sorted now.
