    Really good that you make a point of talking about the sustainability of this (and all other) boards, Rueben!

      @SUPboardermag  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah its a hard one... But the boards need to last. At the moment with these new glues that most boards are using they are still going strong. But I guess only time will tell ... and by then we hope that there is a good way of recycling them! Thanks Reuben

    Got this board mainly down to this review, took it to Cornwall in August and love it and all the kit you get with it, would recommend in a heartbeat. Also very stable even in choppy seas, next venture will be The Lakes. Thanks for the review.

    Damn, I'm not looking for a touring board, but this whole pack has such a good price that is really tempting me 😅😁

    It Would be nice if more boards can be fold from the middle like the compact aztron and a bit lighter in weight to carry around in the backpack

      From a Touring point of view having a small foldable board is really great. But these foldable boards definitely do not offer you the top level of paddling performance compared to this board we have tested. But no doubt technologies and manufacturing processes will change in the future making it more possible. Thanks for your comment. Reuben

    Why doesn't the board have a water release edge at the tail like the 12.6 model?

    • @SUPboardermag
      @SUPboardermag  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question. The 12'6 is designed more for faster touring and speed which is why Quroc opted for a tail water release. Whereas the 13' is designed for carrying gear and expeditions and the addition of a tail runner would be minimal enhancement. Hope this helps. Thanks, Beau

    I really like this board. I’ve got a 12’6 SIC Maui RS Airglide that have a couple of defect issues that I’m not happy about.. the SIC doesn’t come with anywhere near as good a package. Only has 2 year warranty. SIC are so slow to respond to the point of almost not responding.
    The SIC board is an amazing design, on the water it really glides, but I’m not too happy with the after sales care especially since it’s probably the most expensive 12’6 inflatable on the market. I’m tempted to hand it back to the supplier and get a Quroc 🤔

      Thats not good to hear JayJo but thanks so much for the feedback.
      The Quroc is a hell of a board and its just won our touring board test too!

    Great review. Is it just a beginner's board or will experienced paddlers be happy with this?

    • @SUPboardermag
      @SUPboardermag  ปีที่แล้ว

      Experienced paddlers will be stoked with this! We really enjoy paddling this board. The 31" offers great stability so you feel more comfortable paddling especially in bumpy water or when carrying gear. Thanks, Beau

      Hi Dave, thank you for your comment. We have been asked a few times to ship boards to Canada but the cost of shipping has so far been prohibitive. It’s under constant review and if and when we have a solution, we will certainly add Canada to the list. Andrew, Quroc

    For someone 160cm and 55kg, would it be better to go for the 10'6 than this 13'? Would it also be slower? Thanks

    • @SUPboardermag
      @SUPboardermag  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, thanks for the comment. You would notice a drop in glide going for the shorter 10'6. However it really depends on what type of paddling you are going to do. If you are cruising around your local waterways, maybe doing a small touring/overnight adventure, then the 10'6 would suit your needs. If you're considering a full adventure paddle with loads of gear, then the 13' would be better.
      The 10'6 would be your pick for everyday paddling.
      Hope this helps. Beau

    Question: does Quroc deliver to the US?

    • @SUPboardermag
      @SUPboardermag  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmm not sure, a quick email to Quroc will answers that. Im sure they will try and get a board over to you. Thanks reuben

    • @christopherfarrell9227
      @christopherfarrell9227 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SUPboardermag So, I did get an answer. Because of high costs of shipping, they typically don't ship to the US and haven't really sought out since they have a good customer base within Europe. However, if you're fine with paying the extra shipping and handling, they are willing to sell the board. You just won't be offered the same after sales services you can get in the UK because it would be difficult to do.

      Thanks for finding this out Christopher. It could still be worth getting the purchase sorted out overseas. We have had a few Quroc in our test shed for a few years now and there has been no problems at all with them. Thanks forgetting back happy paddling Reuben

    • @SUPboardermag

      Unfortunately Gong do not want to send us any of their gear to be reviewed. We have bought some of their products in the past and done SUPboarder pro reviews with them in the past. The general feedback about Gong is all pretty good from our readers. But unfortunately I cannot advise you about the boards themselves. Thanks Reuben

    How does this compare with the Hatha Stride ?

    • @SUPboardermag
      @SUPboardermag  ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question. We haven't ridden the new Hatha Stride but it does look like a great board. With 1" less width, we'd expect the Hatha to be slightly less stable but more manoeuvrable than the Quroc. What we know about Quroc is that their designs are based on rider feedback and each fitting is placed in the right spot. They have some great customer feedback and they have done well in all Tests we have done. Get the Quroc if you need a board that is stable and performs well in all conditions. The Hatha Stride would probably paddle slightly faster. Hope this helps. Thanks, Beau
