Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the Kottiyoor temple is located amidst the lush forest encircled by the mighty Baveli river. The temple is much-famed for its unique annual temple ritual, Vaishaka Mahotsavam. It is an annual festival that upholds the significance of the myth of Daksha Yaga.

May 21 to June 17, 2024. Women allowed only from May 23 to June 13 mid day.

27 days every year. In that women allowed only for 15 days. After the 21 days pooja, everyone returns from there and until next festival time nobody is allowed to visit here as shiva is believed to be in meditation.
