Everyone saying "ya but he's not actually 11 years old" are crazy to me. even if you are an adult you're going to make mistakes and miss things. Adults aren't perfect human beings. No matter who you are, you would have missed something.
Anime also didn't explain that he's a 30 year old in his past life that only had a middle school education... and that was from the bullying and traumatization that he went through in his old life. That's still implying that he could still have a childish mindset.

It's crazy how most people forget Rudeus from the past life never actually matured. He might be 45 in physically but he's a teenager at most mentally. This reincarnation is supposed to be his opportunity for actual growth.
Not to mention that his mental development stopped at the age of 16. The only thing that developed inside his room as a shut in is his body and degeneracy.
There's also the fact that he is still in a child's body. No matter how much he is an adult in mind, he is still stuck on a child's body, which limits you from a lot of things.
The line about your grievances with you son only mattering while that son is alive hits different coming from the guy who comes from a culture where your spear is your soul and is literally carrying his dead son's spear.
yeah, that's something a lot of people overlooked. That Ruijerd lost a son already.
That line is more like an ex-father speaking from experience to a current father.

Just want to put this into perspective for people. Everyone keeps saying "but in his mind he's a 40+ yr old man." The problem with that logic is that he really isn't. His past life he started being a recluse while he was still in high school, so he really didn't live much of a life at all. In other words, what I'm trying to say. Is that he does not have the mind of an adult at all, he has never been an adult. Always a child because of his actions in staying a hermit and not living his life on the outside. So the whole premise of saying he should know better because he has an adult mind is ridiculous. I mean think about it, even as an "adult" his family took care of him completely. He didn't work, go to school, have relationships. Nothing, because he was a recluse. Now if he wasn't in those conditions in his past life, then sure, it would make a lot more sense. But that's not the case, hopefully this will enlighten people as to why Rudeus is the way that he is.
Even if it was someone who was a responsible adult, I doubt that person would be able to navigate throughout the world considering Rudeus doesn't know much and doesn't travel much. There's also the fact that he's in a child's body. That in itself, is a disadvantage.

@@xxleoproxx7495 Not sure about that. In a war, Rudy's power can obliterate Vader's army, but in a 1v1 fight, Rudy doesn't do well against skilled swordmen, let a lone one that can choke a spaceship from afar
@@MaidenlessScrub alone with his knowledge about Swordsmanship and his ability to look into the future he is good enough. His magic could destroy massive amounts of weapons and would kill thousands or more if he would use his full strength/ learn a bit more. Also if he would be the next Darth Vader, he would be trained by someone strong. If we count all of that together he should be at the same level or higher + Rudeus would be much older then.
Geese really did just show up, help Rudy and Paul out, help save beast-folk, and then just heads out to the next mission. Geese a real one.

There has literally never been a moment in any anime that I've ever watched that left me genuinely teary-eyed like the moment Rudy and Paul make amends.

Manga was much more emotional, i remember geese sayin "If her mother sees rudy first i wonder what she would do" something along these lines. The manga made me cry. The anime was good tho I'm not complaining.

If I remember correctly, Rujierd will be Rudeus' brother-in-law lol. Norn would fall in love with him, and it was already shown at the end of this episode. Honestly weird but I ship them.
Rujierd is a man with his priorities straight. Age doesn't actually matter much in their world because multiple race with different life span live with each other.

they didn't forget(some of them have mentioned it many times in the past reactions). Paul doesn't know(nobody except the god in that world knows that), yet he treated him like an adult lmao.
My thing is while he is an adult on the inside he also is a shut in who dropped out of school then went to a foreign world to make a living. I think honestly he might have it worse than a kid raised in that world if he is subject to think like he does in the modern world.

Well personally i'm with Paul in this but since he accepted his mistake and apologised regardless ,showed maturity by being the much needed reasonable person there (something Rudey never did or even realised) ,i shrugged the whole argument aside
