+zvallid The only way to explain this AH scenario is to say that Kaiser Willhelm II. almost completely stopped paying the army and only supported the navy. While also disolving most of it and limiting it to 600k. His stupidness would have lost to a weakened (not owning Ukraine) and unindustrialized (no 5 year plans) russia cuz he was outnumbered 8 to 1 (4 milion VS. 500k).

If Germany wins WW1, I think Belarus and Ukraine would be independent from Russia, just as they were after the collapse of the USSR. This would make Russia a lot weaker.

A plausible scenario; that regardless of who 'won' WW1, the other side would be itching for a rematch, revenge, and recoupment of what they'd lost. And though WW1 ostensibly ended with an 'armistice,' Germany was still treated as a defeated party in the Treaty of Versailles.

The main reason Germany went to war in WW2 was because of the treaty of Versailles that followed after their defeat in WW1. If they had won WW1 there would not have been a national hatred for how the allied forces had treated them after WW1 and Hitler, although would have likely still been able to raise sympathy for his cause, it would not be on the same scale to our normal timeline. Basically speaking, if Germany won WW1 it is unlikely that there would have been a WW2.

I have an idea: What if Austria-Hungary Joined the allies in WW1. (I know it sounds crazy but keep reading.)
Before WW1, Germany noticed how weak and unstable A-H was. They also knew that A-H's neighbors wanted land. So Germany secretly betrayed A-H and made alliances with Italy, Serbia, Montenegro, and Romania. These countries prepared for war with A-H who had realized what was happening at this point. A-H made alliances with France and Russia. They offered Galicia. In 1914, Franz Ferdinand was shot and killed. France and Russia gave "unconditional support to Austria-Hungary." A month later. Austria attacked Serbia. Germany and her allies came to Germany's aid, forcing France and Russia to join the war. I'll let you craft the rest of the scenario.
This is basically the scenario as our WWII, almost identical - this is NOT how it would have panned out. The austro Hungarian Empire might have collapsed, with a revolution in Turkey, however the Russian revolution is also inevitable given Russia's collapse. France would have revitalised and rearmed just as post 1870 when they bounced back to life, or alternatively a collapse of National will and subordination to Germany. Britain would probably ally with the US or possibly a rapproachment with Germany, with Britain controlling the seas with Germany's aspirations achieved by Continental conquest.

The German army was at 12 million during WW2 vs 6.8 m for Russia with 3 M on the German front. Given the fact that in this scenario there is only one front, it is very unlikely Germany would have lost. Furthermore in 1942, Axis was close economically to Allied forces. USA won because it had a fantastic growth during WW2 as gnp nearly doubled in four years. Also, if Germany had won WW1, they would have had an increase in GDP because they would not have had to pay damages to the allies and would have gained more colonies. As such, it is very likely initially they would have been at least at par with USA including their allies. Contrary to what is said above, Russian and German population were close excluding allies(Russia 103, Germany 79). As such, Russian real advantage was the massive size of the country and winter. Another fact relates to the jews scientist which would have stayed in Germany rather than go to the US. At the time, the germans had far better engineers than the USA. One of the key parameter in the defeat of the Axe was lack of petrol and destruction of industry from England but this is not a problem in this scenario.
USA needed 2 to 3 years to really have an impact and Russia would not have been able to sustain a war so long with most of central Europe on his back. What killed Germany was too many fronts but this scenario would avoid it by eliminating uk. Then how could Germany lose with all the negative removed and all the positive staying ?

This just got put in my recommended videos but I really don't think USA would look at all that happened, and call Germany the aggressors. The only country Germany attacked unprovoked was Belgium. Meanwhile Japan joined the war just to be build an empire and surprise attacked a lot of nations.

Why would Germany declare unrestricted submarine warfare after winning against Great Britain? Who would they fight with their submarines? This doesn't make sense.
Fully believable until the US declared war on Germany because they were seen as an "agressor". The US was highly isolationist in our timeline, getting involved in a second European war after the crushing defeat of WWI would be so far down on the "to-do" list for the US that Germany would have to directly attack them in order for a declaration of war to even be considered. On top of that, there is more German ancestry in the US than any other. The US would have probably backed Germany, if anybody.

I think that you forgot about the Luftwaffe and how efficient the Germans are in urban combat. I also believe that the Germans will produce a huge fleet in the Pacific since it is most likely to be invaded by the closer countries like Japan and USA. I also think that the Germans won’t back out as fast as what you have shown over here “ 11:16 “, specially since Germany had a head start of being a world power.
Specially since Germany can mass produce their advanced equipment.
Hi can you clarify something:
Even if USA impose an oil embargo on Germany there is no need for "unrestricted submarine warfare" because Britain will already be defeated, Germany can control all the ships going to Russia by the Baltic sea, USA cannot supply weapons to Russia to Murmansk indefinitely and to far from Vladivostok and USA the isolation lobby would be very powerful like in our timeline so no unrestricted submarine warfare, no USA entering the war.
Germany would have more difficulties to defeat a non-communist Russia even with Poland and Ukraine in the Axis and less than a 500Km from Moscow but the Russian defeat is nearly inevitable so Germany would still win in your scenario.

Just to clarify. If Germany wins WW1 there will no Axis. Germany remains an imperial power with a Kaiser, aka Wilhelm, the goofball. In that scenario Hitler would have remained an unknown painter. It is rather odd therefore that in the real Axis power Japan is part of the Allies. I find this scenario wholly unrealistic. The comments below indicate I am not alone.

The reason why France surrended immediately in 1940 was because they were traumatized by the losses of the Great War, with WW1 ending two years earlier for France (in the video on that the armistice is signed for France in August 1916) and with that being a defeat, despite most of the war was fought on german soil, would make France nationalist wich are in power in this scenario feel like they could have do more, as the Germans felt in our time-line, so France would have never lost her obsession with offensive tactics.
This mean France would have been able to fight much better in WW2, as WW2 was in a period when technology favored offenders, of course, France has no resource and population to defeat Germany, unless Both Russia and U. S.A. allie with her, but France would have fight much longer and much better.

China wouldn't surrender so easily, they would have done something like they did in WWII, as well with China reunified their army would have been big/have a good amount of reserves. I doubt the Chinese army would surrender so easily. And they'd probably got german supoort before the war, making their army not as weak as they were in WW2.

I don't know how, with significant boost compared to the real timeline, and with almost the entire Europe on their side, plus with Britain essentially out of the war, Germany still managed to lose the war. I know it's an alternate timeline, but still.
Because the "boost" comes with responsibility.
Of course the German puppet states in Eastern Europe (Finland, Baltics, Poland, and Ukraine) look cool but you need to keep them pro-German, put troops there to suppress anti-German sentiments.
There's also a possibility that these vassals would end up like Afghanistan and South Vietnam, economies made of American money (in this case, German investments). The money that Germany paid in the Treaty of Versailles, would go to funding these quasi-colonies in this alternate timeline.
In the real world, WWI ended with an Allied/Entente victory but the new countries didn't end up as pro-Allied puppet states, they are literally sovereign independent nations thus they incentivise themselves to develop their own economies (Western capital would be just secondary drivers).
Also, both in the real and alternate timeline, Germany is surrounded by allies that have a bad history of industrialisation.
Only gamechanger here is that there would be uninterrupted militarism and military industry in the 1920s (interrupted by Weimar democracy, only to be restarted by the Austrian Man in the 1930s though they had been already secretly rearming in the 1920s though in a small-scale) which would make Germany stronger.

I agree with with many here. Even if america had sent weapons the supply road would be too long. Because like you said germany and italy would have strong navies, wich means north sea and mediteriean sea would be out of the question. So they would had lost the triple of manpower.
