I have not seen it since I was a boy. I recorded it from our tv station. Rightly named the government radio broadcast. Ríkisútvarpið. It needa about 10 to15 billion per year from tax to operate. They serve news and mostly cheap european drama shows that are.. for the special people. Sometimes they showed good movies after midnight on saturdays. Often not so good. But I recorded it 5 ornso mins into the movie and must have seen it 10 times. Great movie as I remember it. Felt the sudden urge to look for it after seeing a 3 movie dicount dvd holster with three .. in my closet.. i stared at.. all i want for christmas is on top of the holster then in middle is Srviving Christmas (tha affleck hug man! What a guy! ( that reminded me of hostile hostages ( that was given an Icelandic title in the few glimpses between programs they showed what the schedule is. Typing in front of closet getting hsrd.. ttyl 🖖😅
And I just can not not state that the third and most awesome masterpiece on the bottom wasbSCROOGED with one of my all time fave humans ever Bill MURRAAY!! Ehm. . mhhm . Yea. Be excellent to each other.. and when its hard its not all theyre or your fault it is rough to need to figure out all. No one can.. we all need .. ppl. I cabt say i dobt know.. bht well inteded well raised fun and able friends sounds more fun than jungle with clandestine culture.. GL hf!🖖😌❤
I love that part, too. I've heard people complain about that scene, saying it's too "over the top" and "out of character for Caroline", but I disagree. It was great.
The point of the candles is they wanted a Swedish themed dinner. The candlesticks are supposed to represent a halo for Santa Lucia. Yes, Sweden celebrates TWO santas and yes one is a woman.
@@largol33t1 well I know that. She already explained that. What's funny is that it's totally unexpected. And seeing everyone's reaction to it, especially since she's obviously drunk, and has a hateful mother-in-law and an armed robber sitting at the table 😂
"So just excuse the shit outta me!" LMAO. I watch this every year with my wife and laugh my ass off every time. I also love the part about "You saw the stop sign, didn't you Lloyd?" :D
"Gee, I'm glad I'm me ..." I use this exquisitely bitter line constantly in real life. One of the great satires of American traditionalism, and eminently quotable, if not necessarily in mixed company.
I usually watch this at least once every christmas. Still raises a smile even after all these years but sadly never seems to get shown that much here in the UK.
"Is Murphy here???" No answer "Sorry he's not here." "Okay try this-Is there a f*€king excuse for existence named Murphy there?!?" "Is there a f*€king excuse for existence named Murphy here???" And then Murphy answers XD And then There's also the part in the boat at the end. The two funniest scenes in the movie
"This isn't your M.O. you only knock over estates! But hostages? It's a no win situation!" "You too, huh? You know what this family needs? A MUTE!" lmao
Worked at Metro North cleaning after Connecticut people for 35 years, in the 1980s I used to get one bag of garbage in each car of the train, so many gay magazines stuck down the side of the seats before they went home to their wives, they are the nastiest human beings I have ever met in my life, they don’t talk to you because they’re better than you, now I’m retired and have a big pension and yes I did keep the stuff I found ha!! That was my tip, here’s to the working class the real people!!!
The year was 1996 or 1997, I was serving 4yrs for kidnap & robbery in send prison cat c & d cat. I was in a dormitory of 8 & we had sky, it was about 11pm at night & this movie came on, I was the only one awake, i was crying tears of laughter into my pillow as not to wake anyone else. One of the best Christmas movies ever😊🤣, I was on the top bunk, it was rocking with laughter, how the geezer on the bottom didn't wake up I'll never know. 😊
The part where he say's he wished he was a pissed off criminal 1:44 made me think of him in a movie called Heartburn, which was directed by Mike Nichols.
Every Christmas...as a Kid we put this movie..cracks me up. Kevin Spacey is such a great actor still is, regardless of the accusations he had against him. I still think he is one of the Greatest out there.
One of THE most underrated Christmas movies of all time!!!
I agree with that. I think a part of that has to do with the fact that The Santa Clause came out in the same year, and The Ref came out in March.
still so funny lol and under rated
Totally agreed
Top five movie for sho!
This movie is a classic in our house. We watch it every year at least 5 times. And yes, all lines are memorized in my family. Haha
Same here, we watch this and Christmas Vacation back to back
I just beat up Santa Claus

Same! Every year, we have to watch this and Die Hard at least once lol
..very under rated comedy.. anti christmas movies rule lol
*This movie is a classic*
I agree with you! I found this funnier than The Ice Harvest with John Cusack and Billy Bob Thornton
Kevin and Judy -- the greatest dysfunctional married couple in cinematic history! :)
Then Denis and Andrea are the greatest in TV history.
Your husband isn't dead lady He's Hiding....... Just love this movie!
Hilarious
That's one of my favorite lines.
The dinner scene with the candlesticks on their heads was hysterical!
I love that part, too. I've heard people complain about that scene, saying it's too "over the top" and "out of character for Caroline", but I disagree. It was great.

"You people don't get impressed, do ya?" The pissed off criminal. MERRY CHRISTMAS!
"If whats his name hadn't installed that fucking roadrunner booby trap I'd be in Jamaica right now" 🤣
Best anti-Christmas, anti-New Age, anti-psychoanalysis movie of 1994
Anti-Christmas? How's that?
The only movie we had in our family. Every line is memorized and I can’t stop laughing until now when he said I hijacked my own family.
Watch how Kevin Spacey builds the scene. Incredible.
One of my FAV actors, of all time!! Love Denis Leary, too!!
"So just excuse the shit outta me!" LMAO. I watch this every year with my wife and laugh my ass off every time. I also love the part about "You saw the stop sign, didn't you Lloyd?" :D
Feb 18 th 2023 THIS IS A GREAT MOVIE WAY
UNDERRATED. ❤😇
such a great movie
This is my favorite Christmas movie..!
Great lines for Mr. Spacey ...he was probably like, "Yahhh I'll do this movieee" 🎬
Best Christmas movie !
My favorite Christmas movie ever!!!!!
very well put by mr. spacey. love that movie and especially this scene. glad someone put it up on here..
"Gee, I'm glad I'm me ..." I use this exquisitely bitter line constantly in real life. One of the great satires of American traditionalism, and eminently quotable, if not necessarily in mixed company.
Amazingly HILARIOUS movie! Gotta watch it every Christmas!!!
"I just beat up Santa Claus..."
I'm back here watching this after watching Denis Leary in Animal Kingdom!
Denis stole every scene 😅💚
I usually watch this at least once every christmas. Still raises a smile even after all these years but sadly never seems to get shown that much here in the UK.
love this movie!!!!so great!!
The funniest movie ever made. Gives new meaning to Christmas.
Hopper and Francis from A Bug's Life, haha 😄
Ping zing golf clubs 😂
One of my Christmas movies i watch every year....
The house is absolutely beautiful l!!!!
Kevin Spacey is so flaming in this film. LOL
This is the best christmas comedy ever! It's much better than overrated "Home alone".
Still my favorite Christmas movie lol
This film is fun
"Is Murphy here???"
No answer
"Sorry he's not here."
"Okay try this-Is there a f*€king excuse for existence named Murphy there?!?"
"Is there a f*€king excuse for existence named Murphy here???"
And then Murphy answers XD

***Murray
Actually it's "f@ing waste of life named Murray", but yeah, great line delivery
How about when he says he's going to tear all the hairs out of his balls one by one....lol
Her having dreams of me being castrated Florentine is healthy I think we need a ruling on this
I never i understand why this not Christmas Movie.
Because the studio stupidly released it in March.
Amazing movie!
Love this movie watched it on video tape yes that long ago. There are some cheesy dated scenes but Leary, Davis, Spacey!!!! They're brilliant.
The ultimate Festivus movie.
"This isn't your M.O. you only knock over estates! But hostages? It's a no win situation!"
"You too, huh? You know what this family needs? A MUTE!" lmao
😂😂😂 my favorite line
"Excuse the Shit outta me!" lol
So funny my daughter and I would go back and forth with the characters line ..Like wheres Gussey .
Great movie 🎥 Denis is brilliant 👏 notice the characters are tied up in X's 😉
Ted demme made some real classic movies
I like the part at the end when they're leaving on the boat and Gus is raving best XD
💚 run through danger
"Mr Brooks Bros" 🤣🤣🤣
Lloyd: "is it possible for you to shut the fuck up for 10 seconds?" Now that was funny as hell! (^-^)
I'm glad I discovered this movie on netflix it is hilarious
If I was a burglar, and I kidnapped an arguing couple, I’d let them go and say “you people have enough problems”
Her guilty face at 1:15 is my favorite part 😂
One of the best parts!
This movie is EPIC! ^_^
Honestly this scene speaks a lot to today...
Agreed. The few working to support the many.
I think this is the best movie casting ever!
It holds up quite well after all these years
Merry F'n Christmas!
"These Lamb Kouzens are GREAT, honey!"
"They're GOUKENS...not KOUZEN'S honey..."
I think this is a prequel to American Beauty.
Jordan I agree but only there’s no strong sexual content in this one
DENIS LEARY!!!!!
The year was 1996 or 1997, I was serving 4yrs for kidnap & robbery in send prison cat c & d cat. *highly doubtful*
Denis Leary
What happened? Spacey is only 35 here, maybe even 34 at the time of filming, Dennis two years older at 36/37.
Great. I kidnapped my parents.
The part where he say's he wished he was a pissed off criminal 1:44 made me think of him in a movie called Heartburn, which was directed by Mike Nichols.
Fun fact, spacey was talking about himself the whole time.
LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!!!!
Last of the good "Family" movies lol!
Everything is GAY now...literally
Fucking annoys me that this gem of a flick doesn't get more credit.
Im gonna watch it soon Santa Claus receaved some of my letters lol
i'm always shocked at the amount of people who have no idea this movie exist; this movie is fucking hilarious.
The Villain's Name is Siskel
Saucy script ...actor's appreciate saucy 😅
he ended it steve martin style.
1:44... put that fool in his place.
Judy Davis is an absolute babe.
10 people don't look in the mirror and say "gee I'm glad I'm me"
Exhibit A-Z about how burglars hate rich folk
Kevin Spacey would tie up a 14 year old boy, not Caroline.
“So just excuse the shit out of me”! I tried this scene with the wide mouth Snapchat filter and it is funnier 😂
Who gives a rat's ass how I feel?? Now where's Gussy!
Every Christmas...as a Kid we put this movie..cracks me up. Kevin Spacey is such a great actor still is, regardless of the accusations he had against him. I still think he is one of the Greatest out there.
english-russian translation please
I used to love this movie, then Kevin Spacey happened.
He's one of the greatest actors of our time. I don't believe the accusations against him.
Who wrote this masterpiece? Ken Keiser? (One flew over the cuckoos nest) 😅
The husband represents the sleeping giant, frustrated and angry.
This would be a great Christmas family movie. Unfortunately it has too many F words for my grandparents. If only they realized they're just words.
