2019 Joaquin Phoenix getting all the rave reviews for Joker and rightly so but for portraying decent into psychotic, violent madness Michael Douglas nailed it 26 years ago. This film is incredible.
This film was highly underrated. That Joker film was too overhyped. People hyped it up cause many are brain dead millennials and gen-z who don't like watching many films before 2000s.
All these films have been done before. This was a classic, it was actually entertaining and there was something a bit more noble about this Douglas character. The only thing the movie Joker has going for it is the discussion it creates about going into madness,, and even that's been hijacked by the political establishment for "mentally ill" propaganda.

This film is on my list of films that if it's on the telly 📺 box I will always happily sit down and watch it because it's just so brilliant, and as I get older (I'm 45 now) I find that I relate more and more to D-Fens the main character. I'm not mad or insane or anything but I have days when I've had enough. I don't go on a D-Fens style bad day spree but instead I put my headphones on and chill out listening to music (medication didn't work!) whilst watching TH-cam or reading. Other times I watch DVDs, certain ones seem to cheer me up again I don't know why... I've always enjoyed watching Michael Douglas. For some reason alot of people don't like him and he gets alot of stick I don't know why that is. But think of all the brilliant films he's done over the years and Falling Down is Michael Douglas at his very best, at the top of his game. He should have won lots of awards for this role alone and it's a bloody travesty that he didn't. In our house Michael Douglas we think you're brilliant. I wonder how often this scene has happened in real life? 🤔 Especially in America I'm surprised that it doesn't happen fairly often. Right then someone else here mentioned "pocket protectors" and I don't know what they are so I'm going to Google it! #Fallingdown #Michaeldouglas
That is how fast food restaurants used to operate, they tell you what you want instead of giving you what you want. Now they are all facing stiff competition from newer and more exciting restaurants so they finally began listening to the consumer! the arrogance of them! I once was at MCD at 11:27AM and wanted breakfast and they told me sorry its over even though I was just 3 minutes early. Fuck them!
I was on an AC transit 79 and as we made the turn onto University a homeless man appeared to have placed an order and was waiting. AC transit buses are the cleanest they have ever been.
I love this movie so much! I really missed the 90's movies. Going to watch a couple good old 90's flicks again! They had a whole different feeling to them!
She's smug...didn't you remember the part where she briefly interrupted him and said "Well you can't have it we're not serving it" in a rather passive aggressive fashion?
@@TCFan30 Yes, it does get overlooked. There is a 'dream on pal' tone to the way she says it. I think this is also what she really thinks as a character, the cute grin is an act. She sees D-Fens as an irritating nerd who at most is a source of some amusement for her. She is also annoyed that he gets her boss involved - she probably does not like him much.
She is just doing what she is told to do. Whether its 1 minute after 11:30 or 2 hours, they dont sell breakfast after 11:30. She probably had to be told that sternly, hence why she enjoys what ensues afterwards.

This is so true, the picture always looks better than the actual food.
Believe it or not, back in the early 70’s, the picture matched the end product. Macdonald’s was so much better back then.
Give the man some damn breakfast
lol
Not long after this movie was released fast food restaurants began serving breakfast 24 freakin hours !
REALLY!? :D
not MAC DANALDS
Mayby Berger Kong?
Murica_Bald_Eagle Could it be McTrump? Have a McTrump burger with large LIES!?
That is how fast food restaurants used to operate, they tell you what you want instead of giving you what you want. Now they are all facing stiff competition from newer and more exciting restaurants so they finally began listening to the consumer! the arrogance of them! I once was at MCD at 11:27AM and wanted breakfast and they told me sorry its over even though I was just 3 minutes early. Fuck them!
I was on an AC transit 79 and as we made the turn onto University a homeless man appeared to have placed an order and was waiting. AC transit buses are the cleanest they have ever been.
Ime now in my 40s and I relate more and more with falling down every day , and I live in the UK.
james spectre damn i was planning to go there why you people are ruining it for me
Hugh Jass I love old games especially when they have this intangible but intimate connection to me like tycoon does for you.
I love this movie so much! I really missed the 90's movies. Going to watch a couple good old 90's flicks again! They had a whole different feeling to them!
okini I agree, something about 90s movies that feel intense, the cinematography... like those Van Damme movies and Steven Seagal
"I think we have a critic"
LFMAO
30 years has passed and i still think sheila is gorgeous as hell..
She is Michelle Pfeiffer's sister.
Things were rough for Hank Pymm after loosing his wife.
Frank Grimes?
Stevie Richards?
Skoringo, good point, but losing is spelled with with O.
What wait a minute that's Hank Pym ?
That's his actor, Michael Douglas.
(Comparing the sandwich to the picture): Ain't that the truth.
R C Nelson irritates the hell out of me too
R C Nelson those are fake burgers in pictures. They have photo shoots dedicated to them. They even paint colors to make the burger look better.
Sheila is cute AF, seems like a real sweetheart
She is a cutie
specially with that hamburguer hat
She probably had to be told that sternly, hence why she enjoys what ensues afterwards.
and you mam ? hows the food?
aaarrrrggglllaaaa!
i think we have a critic.
hahaha this movie is a great classic
Lol that old guy was about to dip out on his wife lol
You have 69 thumbs up, you stud
"'Til death do us part" my ass.
Kiano Uy well, he thought death was a heartbeat away....
An unforgettable movie. He acts out ,what most of us , actually only think about.
...not
Your not u when ur hungry
"Better"

Have a snickers.
Such a smart ass! You earned an Up-Thumb! Bravo!
Absolute Killer line!!! Good Stuff......
I like how they had breakfasts right there. They didn't even need to make him one... they just weren't prepared to break their own "rules".
It's funny because the breakfast was right there and there was no reason for them not to give it to him other then they're pricks.
@Axy Naxa 9=12:30Pm
Did it nothing better?
Than*
It was likely for a customer that ordered it several minutes prior, just before the cutoff.
*fyrmn221* Yeah and they prob spit in your food.
SO many punchable faces in this movie
That manager is one
Dee Marty He ended working as the desk clerk at the Deliverance Inn over in Branson, MO where he makes guests squeal like a pig at the hotels hospitality. He also developed a gay crush on Bud Bundy
Those teeth on him do look quite knockoutable
Justin Ratcliffe He also sidled up on Elaine Benes
@@andrewboon7634 If you punched out his dead tooth, it'd probably be doing him a favour.
you could land a plane between his teeth
Whoaaaaaaaaaaaa! This scene still rocks. "Whammy burger with Whammy fries" Wheeeeew! Might be THE greatest movie scene EVER!
I feel comfortable calling you Rick after all we've been through LOL love it
👍😂
This video made me want to watch the movie
What a great idea
It's a good movie. I laughed. I cried. I ate a burger. I despaired for the future of humanity. Good times.
What weaknesses? It's a fantastic piece of cinema.
I really want to go to a cheap ass burger joint now.
It was a great film, especially for the era.
the movie is brilliant ...
I should've asked for Sheila's number.
D Fens Even at the end, she looks kinda turned on, or it could simply be a nervous smile.
Stomp Chunkman she turns me on haha : P
She wants me. Wish I didn't get shot by Robert Duvall :(
D Fens
One of the most relatable films in existence.
..along with "Office Space"
James.W. watching this scene, I realized I had a smile on my face the whole time. Classic and funny too.
I know how he feels. I have bad days like that when nothing goes right. From the time of waking up in the morning to literally all day long, everything goes wrong....I love that movie.
sonya Stover Yup, this movie is literally how life is.
One of Michael Douglas' finest performances. He's brilliant in playing both out his inner turmoil and outer rage. Amazing, deep and thought provoking. He acts the way we feel.
that one guy he told to sit back down nicely he was gonna leave his wife and make a run through the door 😂
This scene has stuck with me for many years, just like the film
Sheila is a total cutie pie!
Michelle Pfeiffer's sister.
@@kevincampbell5785 yea now she's old
‘Now look at this sorry, miserable squashed thing’
That scene had my family in stitches all the way through, the entire movie is an underrated masterpiece.
this movie is a masterpiece.
His character is absolutely a hero who did what we'd all love to do.
