Nice guitar man, I can tell you're stoked! I have an LP obsession myself. I do not have this model but have two that are quite similar, one is a "Wildwood select" honey burst that looks quite similar to yours with a similar type of flame pattern. And recently I snagged another LP, this one was a "chicago music exchange exclusive" (for what that's worth) LP standard in "dirty lemon". As a big slash fan I was kind of chasing that look of the old slash AFD guitar (think of the ones he's playing at live at the Ritz 1988) and I think the dirty lemon i got has that look. Most of the Slash AFD models now look way too orange and have way more flame than the OG. My dirty lemon is only AA flame but its the "curly" flame and it's spread nicely over the whole guitar. What i also like is that depending on the angle and the light in can look very different. It's an addiction! Yours looks cool. I can't say I like the look of that new Epiphone version.
I love my Greeny LP Standard, what i do really like is these will age really quickly, that satin finish is so thin it's already worn through by the bridge pickup after a few months of use, so save your money on a relic, just use your own and it will wear in.
Hey, it’s pretty surprising but I now have that same guitar, when you returned it, sweet water never listed it and it sat. But finally they finally listed and my dad bought it as a Christmas surprise.
Very cool! Small world!!! She’s definitely a beautiful guitar. I picked up another one with another flamed top and then I had to pick what one I wanted to keep. I ended up returning the one from sweetwater and getting the Adam jones standard. It was tough to let go but at least I still have another greeny. Take care of her man! Let me know if you want to sell it down the road, it would be a cool story to see it come back full circle!
Nice guitar bud I've had ups n downs with epiphones ..I build my own now outve whatever cheapies I like the thing is I put what I want in them epiphones are ok i guess if whatever is in them is exactly what you want ..love les Paul's they really are the perfect instrument how they sit and everything 😋😋
I bought one off reverb, that had a stunning top. However the frets turned out to be dog shit, guess that’s why the guy was selling it. I had to take mine to a luthier and have it re-fretted. Lost my nibs in the process, but plays unbelievably now. I hope yours has better frets from the factory than mine did.
hi awesome brother congrat 👍i`ve get this model 3 month ago, for my 2nd les paul model.1st almost 20 year old with me, epiphone standard it was buy from my friend who bought from euro. then I had to sell it to buy this grenny' gibson les paul, couse it so great scheme fated, especially pickup grenny' setup..very satisfied even though the price is a little bit higher for me from Asian, but I can't compromise with the name and the quality is very satisfied💚GIBSON🤘
Leave the pick guard off. Trust me. Any questions, reply. My first Les Paul was a Crestline, black, gold hardware, and I took off the pickup covers. That was 1976. Wish I could find that old girl. Paid $125. A lot of money for a 14 year old kid to save up back then.

I sent mine back, really disappointed. Try as I might I couldn’t get it to sound like Peter Green was playing it 😂 As Bernie Marsden pointed out, nothing sounds like Peter Green playing HIS Les Paul. Each guitar sounds and plays differently....regardless of name, buy the guitar that plays right for you first time you pick it up 🤷♀️
I’m bitcoin is worth 1,000,010 years from now, and all those people that have money to burn, will be buying up these guitars, because they couldn’t afford them 10 years prior. If you have never owned a Rolex or understand what is about a Rolex and other fine time pieces, then you probably wouldn’t understand the greenie guitar.

What was bad about the frets and why did it need new frets vs just leveling etc? Did they wear out too quick or something?

I just bought a greeny with the most insane unique top on it, it's basically the best top on a Les Paul in history.
