Hey there - just FYI, as you were wondering about the knobs vs. the LEDs and how they work - the LEDs are just for display purposes, and the knob operates just like a normal knob. So even if the LEDs are a bit "off", or don't change over a relatively long range of motion on the knob, the sound is still being affected when moving the knob. The circuitry that control the LEDs is pretty simple, and not that well designed - when the two are out by a large difference, always trust the indicator line on the knob over the LED :)

Does it weigh like other FireFly LP's ? I like the heavier guitars and I got the Chibson version of this but it light as hell.
Yeah. Same weight as the others. Feels good.

He doesn't have to turn it into a political argument...this is a fact in the United States...not saying I agree that history should be done away with because of political correctness or because it offends someone...but that's the world we live in now.

This was the “prototype” the first one he ever made, besides the one he owns, so after it was all said and done I just paid for shipping. A lot of trial and error with this one to know what works for the rest of the relics.

I chose the 59 Standard and was so disappointed I returned it 🤦🏻♂️ I thought it would be the perfect combination of affordable and quality but Zzounds has a fantastic return policy 💪
One small nitpick is I dont think the end of the fingerboard is bound on the real one. Only the sides. Other than that, from what I can see this is spot on. Like damn
Yes, the USA made MLs don’t have binding on the bottom of the fretboard. Also this has a recessed Floyd. Not a top mount. But besides those 2 things, it’s a very accurate tribute build of the DFH!

Very nice amp, but that cabinet is doing you a great disservice. You'll notice a huge improvement with better speakers.
Those actually sound good and are quite rare these days w/ the V30s. Athough yes I'd also recommend to get another one, like a Mesa OS 4x12 perhaps
True. I do have a Mesa standard cab in storage. Once I get my little “studio” set up I’ll be able to make proper videos.

Man i want a X2, tho i used all my money on a RG100HT and a quartet of Jaguars this year lol
I gotta say, the rg100es amps are great amps. I have one, an XP series and the rack mount HT. They definitely get the dime tone with the help of a lot of other gear. But this X2 is the first amp I plugged into that has the dime tone nailed straight in. But the new warheads that are coming out might be the next best thing.

I wonder how they achieved the checked finish. Surely this isn't nitro, is it?
I believe the must use some kind of razor blade or knife. I’ve seen similar results on poly finish guitars using a razor blade. This finish is not nitro on this guitar no.

Actually I am. I ended up getting that one a few weeks after this one and I like that one better because of the finish. I really like the firefly guitars. So far everything I got from them has been good besides doing a setup and banging down some frets on one. I did order one from Amazon that wasn’t available on the site and had a bunch of issues with that one. But so far all the ones straight from guitar garden have been good.

That is THE first time I’ve ever seen a Dimebag replica that nailed the lightning bolt perfectly! After all these years! I’ve always wanted one but the lightning bolt never looked right on any of them. Yes I know it’s mostly about how it plays, but that in combination with the iconic look is what I was after. Gorgeous. I just ordered one.
I have one in Alpine White. And I like it. A lot. For me, everything about it is great. I am taking it to my luthier next week for a pro setup and fret dress. In the meantime, I took off the covers and checked out the parts. Mine has Gibson USA 490R and 498T pickups, CTS pots, Mallory caps and Switchcraft switch and output jack. I was pleased to find that the cavities were super clean and painted white. The wirings were neatly soldered and nicely tucked. I am very happy with this guitar. So impressed that I purchased the IGC 1959 ES-355 in Ebony within a couple of weeks later.
I definitely thought about the 335 also. Just don’t have the extra scratch right now lol
hi awesome brother congrat 👍i`ve get this model 3 month ago, for my 2nd les paul model.1st almost 20 year old with me, epiphone standard it was buy from my friend who bought from euro. then I had to sell it to buy this grenny' gibson les paul, couse it so great scheme fated, especially pickup grenny' setup..very satisfied even though the price is a little bit higher for me from Asian, but I can't compromise with the name and the quality is very satisfied💚GIBSON🤘

This was the first one he did, besides his own, which is the true first one. He did this one for me and then decided to do 25 for those who sent him their guitars. So there was a lot of trial and error since this was the “prototype” I hooked him up though for his time and doing an amazing job.
