    Look forward to the comparisons. I much prefer the aged satin finish to a brand new gloss looking finish. And I think it's an advantage that it will age more quickly, yet naturally, giving the owner their own unique guitar that represents them and has their own story.

    *There was a brief corruption of the video around **1:23** - **1:28** where the plug in corrupted during render that has been edited and should be gone shortly. The weight of the guitar was 8lbs 5 oz.*

      You got a nice light one. For me, weight is a consideration with LPs because they vary so dramatically.

    What a great...informative video! So good my friend, i am now $3,000 lighter in the pocket. Just got mine yesterday and it sounds exactly like the one reviewed. So sick of people beefing on Gibson's. I now have 8 Les Paul's and plan to stack them to the ceiling! This particular one is a special beast, out of the box nearly perfect...and yes, these neck's are killer. Thanks for the review...great playing by the way...

      Barry for whatever reason this was in the “held for review” section of my youtube and im just now seeing it and im sorry avout that. i agree with you, I am genuinely sick of hearing about how crappy Gibsons are. Most people say oh the paint isn’t perfect, binding, or whatever but at the end of the day when you plug one into a good amp they are some of the best guitars to this day and I love them.

    Minor correction; the 'imperfection' you mention on the binding around the horn is actually the maple cap showing. It's to be expected and not an imperfection at all!

    • @AudiomoMusic
      @AudiomoMusic  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's not what I was trying to show, the actual binding itself was a little sloppy which again isn't a big deal and I didn't spend that much time on but I should have zoomed in or taken a picture to show it clearly as a few people have had the same take away thinking I was talking about the cap haha

      @AudiomoMusic  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think I'm gonna change the description of this video, I've had maybe 5 comments say that but that was not what I was calling an imperfection - i should have zoomed the camera in to show the extremely sloppy job of the binding itself. had nothing to do with the cap.

Several months ago I got a “CME exclusive” LP standard in “dirty lemon” which definitely has a greeny or a slash type vibe. I really like it because it has a more subtle flame top, more of a curly flame. But yea, they all play a little different. I’ll put a link to my dirty lemon below.

      Paint bleed dripping off the choppy binding in that spot is a common feature? After I edited the video I wished I had taken a still shot to zoom in, but that's what I was referring to, I can understand you're the second person that didn't see exactly what I was trying to point out and that's on my editings fault.

    • @joshpointoh
      @joshpointoh หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      That's not at all what it looked like you were pointing out.
      Your quote was "a little bit of imperfection in that one area" wasn't exactly helpful, so he has to assume, and it looked to me just like it did to him, that you were pointing out a normal LP feature. There is no paint bleed, you were pointing at something a Les Paul expert would have known about and you seem to be trying to act like you were talking about an ACTUAL quality problem that no one can see, and not the actual "imperfection" you thought you saw

    • @AudiomoMusic
      @AudiomoMusic  หลายเดือนก่อน

The satin finish mostly hides the triple A top, the blank poker chip is laughable and the lack of any "Greeny" acknowledgement like a COA , a special case or even a name on the truss rod cover is just plain cheapskate on Gibson's part. I would agree, listen to both instruments, the epiphone to my ears sounds closer to the original, seems to have the same kinda honk to it, the Gibson has it slightly but the epi seems to pretty much nail it, could it be the long tenon ? The gibo doesn't have it, or 50s wiring, I'm genuinely looking to buy either, as greeny is my all time favourite guitar, but I'm only buying one, and I can't afford the custom shop variants, so which one ? Genuine gibo, or that actual sound from the epi ? I don't know yet, I'm still listening for a good Gibson that gets as close to that sound, but haven't found it yet, It's how it sounds To my ears anyway.

How can those individuals justify the spend when you consider many of them will have far more important commitments and responsibilities. The guitar is nothing but a gross self-indulgence.
