In this enlightening interview, our Don delves into the fascinating world of quadruped robots with Tony, USA sales director from Unitree www.unitree.com/en/
They explore the various models available, including the consumer-friendly Go-To Pro and the highly programmable, industry-oriented Edu version. With prices ranging from $3,000 to over $10,000, these robots are designed for a range of uses, from entertainment to serious industrial applications.
Tony shares how their robots are versatile, capable of integrating with various sensors, and how they're programmed using AI technologies like Char GBT, making them adaptable to a variety of tasks. The discussion also touches on potential competition with Boston Dynamics, though Tony stresses their expansive product line that caters to different market needs, offering a more accessible entry point for educational institutions and other industries.
Exciting future applications are explored, including how these quadrupeds can collaborate with drones for enhanced inspection and rescue operations. The conversation also delves into the advent of humanoid robots, aimed at alleviating manual labor and enhancing safety across numerous industries.
As the interview unfolds, the potential for integrating aerial and ground-level robotics is discussed, painting a picture of a near future where multi-robot systems work autonomously and in coordination for a wide range of applications. The enthusiasm for what’s to come is palpable, making it clear that the future of robotics is not only promising but is already here.
Keep an eye on us as we continue to explore the advancements in the quadruped market and work towards developing innovative solutions that bring the future of robotics closer to the present.

Everybody gangsta till the robot grabs a gun
we’re advancing at such a fast pace and i’m here for it
Nice interview and well filmed.
nice robots.. wish I could be a salesman
This dog needs a tail!
And can pee and poop.
So, when we turn the "Skynet" on? 🙂
💫
What???
Can of robot dog's do???
a mazing
Thanks for putting this video together! I really enjoyed it! Unitree has a great line of robot dogs. One of the benefits I like most is the robot dog can also move on stairs and cross obstacles, compared to robots on wheels which are limited.
Is it possible to use it through WiFi at home while I’m abroad? I mean f ex using ar googles and talking to my family?
I could see these taking off if they increase payload capacity, battery life, and the ability to understand complex commands. Imagine if it could carry groceries while following behind you in a store. If it had an arm module you could then tell it what to grab and then return back to you to pay. Guess that won’t be for quite a while though.
You can do that today with the Unitree B2 and later this year with the H1 but the cost would be prohibitive for this shopping application. If this was a manufacturing or construction application, the payback would be pretty fast.
There is a version (the Unitree B2) that has all of the things You mention , but is way more expensive , so it has a prohibitive cost

The US Army Bought This Robot Dog to Fight the War
It is extremely exciting but never forget dance all you like you can't fool me all of this will end up primarely in the military, it is not hard to imagine this thing with double gatling gun setup or rocket launchers. But enjoy the fun and the dancing while it lasts
and one day there will be a software failure, and it will start shooting at its own
@@chykalovили по тебе…
Your limited by battery power,,, solve that and it's Game On
Не много времени пройдет и такие появятся у военных. Нацепить пулемет и заменят солдата. Страшновато.
Or a harpoon. Silent, but deadly.
yep the chinese military, the UN may be fighting these in future wars
Show more of the robots doing practical tasks.
That is a great request. We have started development of several commercial applications in security and construction. Should have something in a month. What would people like to see developed?
@@DonGarland I would like to see robots learning to emulate tasks such as cooking a meal, etc. I am in home health and having a robotic aid to help around the house would be huge and more cost effective for seniors.
Currently, 24-hour care is over $20k per month. Should be able to lease a pretty good robot for much less. Still a ways to go . . . but robots need to replace people in these roles to bring costs down.
drones au service des pharmacies...soute frigorifiée
If you don't have to pick up their sh*t I am not interested.
Ukraine has joined the chat
These robots are swell… 👍
drones au service des pharmacies....
and this dude is giving all this tech to china
were fucked
I mean if the power or internet goes out I'd see a pointless pile of scrap...with all robots, or will they only turn the power off on humans....Think
You can program them to be local.
EDU too expensive
The EDU cost is much lower compared to any other quadruped with it's capabilities. If you want low cost, choose the Go2 Air or Pro
@@DonGarland I can't connect and control programatically if it is not EDU
Correct. That's why it's more expensive. @@jinshiksung
@@DonGarlandthis isn't true, they artifically locked it and we have forums that unlock those out there
Rather boring!
It was just a start
They make great target practice
