The first three chords and then the last three chords, then up the scale. Unbelievable how such simplicity can sound so beautiful.

The most beautiful four minutes in all of music, in my opinion.

Absolutely incredible that such beauty comes from a human mind, especially a mind as troubled as Tchaikovsky's was.

It's often the most troubled minds that make the most beautiful things.

My favorite part is when the music swells and they do that spectacular fish dive.

No one surpasses Tchaikovsky when it comes to love themes.

I added this piece from The Nutcracker to a playlist I made for winter which is called “Winter melodies” which only appears on Spotify.

@bwoodsfinest Yes, but if you look at various pictures of ballet through history, you will notice that men didn't always wear just tights. They wore pants on top. Apparently, Nijinsky was dismissed from the Mariinsky because he wore tights and no pants during a performance of Giselle (coming from wikipedia, so I'm not too sure of the credibility).

Any similarity between facts and answers on Wiki are purely coincidental.

That's just the way ballet is now. :D They wear tights. It's a bit strange to watch, though...

I agree, just mean that you can't accept everything on wiki at face value, they have been known to get things wrong
