SOLVED!! UK How Reset Bypass & Log in after forgotten password on APPLE IMAC 2006

How to log in after forgetting password on imac 2006, this may work with other models if so please comment below so you can help others.
I purchased this imac 2006 but couldnt get passed the password screen so the following video will you help you bypass if you forget your password.
1. Turn on or restart Imac
2. Hold command & S
This will take you to command script screen
3.Press enter and you will get to root Command
4. Type fsck - fy (to check the system, you don't have to enter this and go straight to number step 5.)
5. Type mount -uw / press enter
6. Type rm /var/db/.applesetupdone press enter
7. Type reboot and press enter
This process removes the file off the system and restarts as if new computer setup
8. Create new user and Enter new password
9. Once loaded to home screen, click on system preferences
10. Click on account and select the user that you forgot the password and set them a new password
And log out and log into user account and should work

There is an emergency reset button that you can activate like this:
Turn off the computer.
Turn on the computer, but while it is booting, turn off the power.
Turn on the computer, but while it is booting, turn off the power.
Turn on the computer, but while it is booting, turn off the power.
Turn on the computer and wait.
After three failed reboot attempts, Windows goes into recovery mode and one of the options there is to reset the computer. One of the reasons for that option is to address this specific problem of finding an old machine that you forgot the password to, and you want to just reset the PC and start over clean.
AMAZING!! I just did this and it worked! I bought an Apple iMac G4 from an estate sale for $20!!! And it worked but had an account with password, I was able to still use the computer but couldn’t update it or anything. I did this just now and it worked and basically factory reset and I’m setting it up as if it’s new!! Currently updating my iMac :) I’m so excited!! I have a macbook pro and just got an Ipad pro 6th gen but I am excited to finally have a desktop for home use! Especially a vintage ape one🎉 Thank you again!! It was also very easy to do! Thank God for the easier breakthroughs on the older security softwares

Omg a life saver, bought 2,1 off marketplace. Had no login password but did have administrator password locking installs. This worked perfectly. Now need to figure how to get Linux on this beast

I’ve been trying to do the same to a 2006 g5 and doesn’t respond to cmd+S or even cmd+R. Everytime goes directly to log in...do you have any ideia how to resolve this? Thanks

When I go to the accounts and when I select to change the password it tells me something about master password what do I do?
