I genuinely have no idea how we will play all the games we're excited for. 2024 is gonna be epic 🥰
Backlog Battle is a pretty accurate channel name
No, I do not have time to play 45 jrpgs in 2024.
Me neither... but I know I will buy this stuff anyway
@@jogymogy3691Why?
@@sirmel11bc we are addicted to collecting them and the fantasy of actually playing them one day.
More backlogs then lol. For me, Im just looking at Granblue, P3P, FF7, and Dragon’s Dogma…
Nice of you for letting us know that no one home cares about it either ...
Probably only Dragon's Dogma 2 was what I am most excited for from these list since I love Dragon's Dogma 1 and already forgot how many times I spent on that game.
IF the west gets Ys 10 this year, we may have the best jrpg year in a long long time.
My most anticipated are
1. Dragon's Dogma 2
2. Rise of the Ronin
3. Like A Dragon 8
Holy crap, 45 in 27min! We're eating good this year.
I started the video naively thinking I’ll add 5-6 games to my wishlist. Holy heck there are so many good games coming out!
Hugeeeely appreciate you listing the platforms the games in this list will be on (both audibly and visually). Thank you and cheers!
wow! first video of this type Ive seen of these type in AGES with some ACTUAL interesting games yet to come out!
Crystal Story looks wild. Obviously hyped beyond belief for P3 reload.
My most anticipated games are FF7Rebirth and Suikoden 1&2. ...And, I'm also still dreaming of Final Fantasy Tactics remaster, even though it looks like it may not be coming? I keep hoping. And hey, blitzball is fun, don't you dare mock it! I'm joking of course, it's not for everyone. :D
Like A Dragon, Unicorn Overload, Eyuden Chronicle, SaGa EM, Metaphor RF, Decapolice, Dragon Quest 3 and Front Mission 3 are the ones I'm looking forward to the most.
Awesome list, I will mark a few for myself. Keep up the good work!
I'm playing WitchSpring R on my Steam Deck right now and I'm really enjoying it. So far it's been a great game to pick up when I only have about 20-30 minutes to play. I'm still in the first chapter and it's very cute and charming, but I hear that the plot picks up and gets serious later in the game.
It ended up being my favorite JRPG of 2023
Happy new year! ^_^ I'm most looking forward to Persona 3 Reload and Metaphor Re:Fantazio this year! Also, I had no idea Legacy of Legacies was being remade 😶I've never played it but Britta Food4Dogs recommended the soundtrack in one of her vids. I'm a big fan of its composer Masashi Hamauzu, so I gave it a listen and really enjoyed the OST; as such, I'm definitely interested in this remake!
Excellent list and you can tell a lot of care went into this one!!! Love it!
Happy new years. Appreciate you!
Happy new year Alex! Thanks for the list! Another great year for JRPG fans!
Happy New Year Alex!. Great compiling video of games for 2024. I am very excited for a lot of games in this list, but Stellar Blade, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Granblue Fantasy Relink, Metaphor Refantazio, Blue Protocol and Decapolice are my top picks. It looks like 2024 will be another great year for gaming. Happy times to be a gamer indeed!!
I can't wait for Infinite Wealth and FF7 Rebirth! They're coming out so close to each other, there's no way I'll have Infinite Wealth finished by the time FF7 is out...
Happy new year Alex and everyone! oh my god what a year this promises to be in gaming! so many great games! lets goooooo!
Happy new year Alex! I'm most excited for Visions of Mana, I can't believe we're getting a new Mana game!
I'm excited for Granblue Fantasy Relink, as long I can play it offline I will buy it.
I haven't watched one of your videos since last year.
The two I'm most looking forward to are FFVII Rebirth and Eiuyen Chronicles: Hundred Heroes. The former because I love FFVII and the latter because of its Suikoden inspirations. I'm also interested in Decapolice, but I need to see more gameplay first.
How the heck do so many games come out 👀 geez tons of these games look really fun and I didn’t even know they were coming out
Thank goodness I preordered Persona 3 reload and Granblue fantasy Relink a few months laster year so I am all good. Suidoken successor, the remakes of both 1+2, that one Atlus RPG and maybe that new Trails game...............Gulp lol. There is a lot but I am excited so great look into them and hope you had a Happy New Year Alex!
Wow, there are a lot of great looking games coming. Thanks for sharing such a list.
god there are so many that I want why is this year also stacked!?
Metaphor refantazio, Unicorn overlord, eyuden chronicles, Bloomtown, Lumentale, Decapolice, Sandland and visions of mana, Quartet, crystal story dawn and dusk..I want them all!
I'm only interested in these five:
Stellar Blade
Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth
Dragon Quest III HD-2D
Unicorn Overlord
Front Mission 3 Remake
Honestly I don't think I'll have enough time to play and enjoy 45 RPG'S in 2024 but I guess we'll see.
45 rpg's bruh my wallet is wheezing trying to process that 😅😂😊
I thought your name came from you trying to battle your backlog. Now I realize you are give us more games to add to our backlog to battle. Like a DM.
Happy new year! So far, the two JRPG's I'm most looking forward to are Metaphor ReFantazio and Unicorn Overlord.
As long as there's no substantial Day 1 DLC courtesy of Atlus, I'm willing to get Metaphor at launch. I've no doubt the gameplay will be solid, and it looks like a much-needed breath of fresh air for the company (especially when, as a long-time Megami Tensei fan, their recent output hasn't done much for me).
One game I'm absolutely buying at launch is Unicorn Overlord. So far, Vanillaware have not disappointed me. Whatever the game was, they always delivered a satisfying experience I could lose myself in, and Unicorn Overlord looks tailor-made for me, as a huge fan of medieval strategy games. Some might prefer the side-scrolling hack'n'slash gameplay of past games, but given how fantastic 13 Sentinels was, I'm confident they'll deliver another banger of a strategy game.
Also, minor correction, Lost Soul Aside's developer is from Shanghai, China. It looks like a lot of fun though.
A good chunk of my year is still going to be catching up on 2023 games but I’ll be there on day 1 for Rebirth. I’m also interested in infinite wealth, Granblue, persona 3 reload, Eiyuden chronicle , trails , paper mario, and metaphor refantizio but i would be shocked if it really released this year.
I doubt I’ll play another 45 JRPGs until the end of my life 😅 But one of these in 2024 would be nice!
Notice I never said that you’d finish them 😉
honestly as interesting as the lists are the only ones that catch my eyes are Octopath Traveller, Kuro no Kiseki (Japanese name sounds better for some reason), Granblue Fantasy Relink, and maybe Ark knights. Stellar Blade and Final Fantasy 7 would have been on my list too but its PS exclusive and am a PC player only.
Not withstanding true epics like Final Fantasy 15 and the Incredible Final Fantasy 7 Remake! The last JRPG I really loved was White Knight Chronicles❤I can hardly wait for Dragons Dogma 2!! I'm really looking forward to seeing what is coming next In 2024!!🎉😂
Great list and hopefully I can afford at least 10 of them, some games I didn’t even know about.
Super video, such a wide array of games, holy cow! Those of us who love modern JRPGs are eating so well these days... 2024 an exciting year for sure. Just a few I would add to my own "2024 Anticipated":
- Chrono Odyssey (Korean MMO) - I'm not really an MMO player (outside of the amazing FF14), but CO's gameplay looks like it borrows a lot from Action JRPGs, and the world looks gorgeous.
- Moncal Fanta: Hero & the Crystal Maiden - we were just given the new name of the next RPG from Experience, which at least in Japan is set to release 1st half 2024
- Last Moon - classic-JRPG-style game from indie French devs Skoll Studio, who last made Koloro
- War of Ashird - SRPG from a Japanese indie team that I backed on Kickstarter years ago, looking good for a Q2-Q3 2024 release
- Monolith: Requiem of the Ancients - 3D Action RPG very inspired by AA-tier action JRPGs, made by a Colombian team, which *may* come out in 2024 -- looks really cool
- (this one just a guess) Ys Memoire: Oath of Felghana remaster has already come out in JP and in a Chinese Asian version, and I would think that if they can sort out regional licensing issues we'll get an English version in 2024 as well (gearing up a little hype for Ys X, which is probably 2025 in the west)
As for my own top most anticipated on this list ... well I made a list of my 21 most anticipated of 2024 the other day, and 15 of them are games on this list HAHA. Whatever 2024 is, it will be a great year for JRPGs and games tangential to the genre. I don't even know where to start picking a top few I'm most excited for .... but I've been really happy about Eiyuden Chronicle ever since its kickstarter, Lost Soul Aside is a game I've been (too) hyped for these past few years of waiting, Metamor: ReFantazio coverage has blown me away this past few months, Visions of Mana looks like just the game I want to play right now, and my prediction for goty is FF Rebirth. Happy gaming in 2024, everyone!
15:57 ouch! I actually think it looks great.
I think there's a decent chance Ys X comes out during the second half of 2024, but we'll have to see I guess.
My most anticipated games this year are:
-LaD8
-SaGa Emerald Beyond
-P3R
-Metaphor ReFantazio
-Trails through Daybreak 1
-Eiyuden Chronicles
-Unicorn Overlord
But hey, still have some catching up with the backlog, just finished Chained Echoes and started Sea of Stars, which will either last me until LaD8 comes out it will be followed by more Romancing SaGa Minstrel Song and 2 😅
I may have to get my hands on a PS5 this year too, i've been lucky with my PS4 so far, but they're bound to stop releasing games on it at some point...
personally, I am still waiting to see what Pragmata will play like, Also I want to know more about Dragon Quest 12
I only really enjoy dragon quest these days can’t wait for 3 and 12 to come. Actually visions of mana looks good
Bro if i even complete 1 jrpg in 2024 it'll be huge
Damn there is definitely to many games gotta find time somewhere 😊
Unicorn Overlord, Eiyuden Chronicles, Sword of Convallaria, and Visions of Mana are the ones I'm most looking forward to. Hopefully I can find another game or 2 from this list I can check out too!
And found one! I completely agree, Dark Deity 2 REALLY looks like Shining Force games! Loved them to bits as a kid. Gonna have to check out 1 and pick 2 up too
Still playing rpgs from 2022 🫠
i'm part of the generation that never got try suikoden i kinda am excited about that
I'm definitely most excited for Like a Dragon and Persona 3, but Bloomtown, Lumentale, and Beastieball all look really fascinating too!
many of the ones actually coming from japan looking really good!
( the western ripoff ones, meh )
I think i will try Sword Of Convallaria,it was gacha games but i dont think i want to spend on the game
These days, I barely have time for 4 games a year, much less 45 JRPs lol
Hi! From what game is the girl on the thumbnail?
Starting the video now let's see how many of these I actually want and/or will be playing it 2024 let you know when I finish watching
EDIT: ok so the ones I will be actually getting are unicorn overlord, stellar blade, atelier, ff14 expansion and zenless zone.
I own all the sukiden, dragon quest and front mission games so will be passing on these remakes since I don't need them since I already own the games. I also own p3 fes which is imo definitive version of p3 so passing on this remake too but cool that persona "fans" who did not play 3 will get a chance since imo was the last of the good persona, after 3 they lost all their charm and the feel that makes persona persona... and will be passing on ff7 because as someone who has been a ff fan since ff1 on nes I am the one ff fan who does not like 7 the only ff games lower on my list of ff game then 7 are 12, 15, and 16 (including spin offs and direct sequels) so I will only be playing/ buying 5 of these games in 2024. I played octopath 2 in 2023 so also skipping
What game shows up at 0:05-0:09?
Decapolice
@@BacklogBattleis that the one with the girls and one of them has a net?
@@jasco5232 ah, that’s Atelier Resleriana
Who is the girl in the thumbnail? Which game?
Who's the girl in the thumbnail?? Which game is that?
Atelier Resleriana
Too bad I have third world economy
Funny of you to assume I can play more than 1 JRPG 😭😭
