That dinette surrounded by unobstructed windows makes that camper feel amazing especially with all the cozy materials. It's cool that it's not carshow quality but something made for the backcountry

the party dinette 3 windows in the back are my favorite floor designs. looked around a lot to get the one I got. good use of space in that thing, looks fun with the solid axle swap on the front end, and engine swap. personally, I love a 5 speed, but it's just not worth it offroad, not as fun as you imagine riding with the clutch. just more that can go wrong dealing with the clutch and battery starter etc. he'd be better off putting new gears in there, just rock some 5.13's. throw it in gear and go. but hey do what your heart desires if he wants those sticks for the build. I like them canvas tool bags and other neat little ideas. now where are them gold nuggets and the minelab for the Down2Prospect episode wooooo
Interesting you would say that, my plan is to add a dual t-case, if i do the 5 speed, for exactly what you mentioned.

I am building my own rig from the truck up, would love to go down to mob, i have a 2008 GMC 2500HD Pickup truck, removed the bed, built an alumninum frame, and building a fiberglass shell on top. It work in progress and building it out for under 10k canadian,. it has a fiberglass shell , its 17ft long, about 6 ft high, I have 1520 watts of solar for the roof, still getting the victron solar convertes for the unit have 1 so far, have 400 amp hours of batteries, today hope to get the roof on and get a door.
Sounds like an awesome build. They are a little pricey but check out the doors made by Tern overland. Also thier windows
You know what would be even more ultimate? If the hilux was legal in America, and we were allowed to import new hiluxes. Almost every country in the world makes a cool little camper on the hilux. In Thailand, you can get a brand new one for around 60k. In America, a truck that that would cost a million dollars and get 10 mpg

They are hood pins. They come in diff sizes
