Well done fellow, I’m 55 & only just realised it’s about experiences and being happy 😃.
It's actually all about how we treat others.. being kind to one another 🙂
I am glad I realized it at 25. It is the thing that matters the most.
51 and same!
Be glad you saw the light. Many don't ❤
@@catryn413 its really not
£2500 what a Stihl 😂
🙄🙄
Great life. I’d be tempted to make it like a horse box with metal bars outside the windows, but still a great idea 👍
Nice 😂
👏 very good
Beat me to it😅
You can tell this guy is stress-free, 17 year old son.. he doesn't look a day over 30, lmao
Divorced?
It is always stress-free to destroy the planet earth.. Just look on Trump or Putin..
^1000%@@bernardsmithtouchingtheworld
Thought he was like mid 20s haha.
Paint the roof white, massively reduces heat in summer
Paint the rest green so it’s not such an eye sore in the countryside
@@tomtomxxx yeah that as well, although I would go white if mostly in urban environments
Waste of paint @@tomtomxxx
Awesome set up. And the space is amazing. Great life. No rent, electric, water. And free nomad lifestyle.
£2500 for the truck & £15k for those 2 Santa Cruz MTB's cant fault him 👌
Great build 😁 , I’m living full time in my orange truck (Clementine) . Ex TNT truck. Been full time for 4.5 years , loving it 😊. Cheers for sharing guys ❤️
Where do you get your mail sent and can you insure your truck without an address?
@@jimbobalob2491 hi ,, I have my mail and insurance sent to a family member’s address. Insurance states you need an address
@@jimbobalob2491 Get a care-of address. You've probably seen the abbreviaion: c/o.
Build?
@@art7867 yes ,, build ! Or conversion!!
Carl, you are a flippin legend. Live your life brother. you're here for a good time not a long time.
Brother? Is he your brother?
Theres a lot of positives about living this life. Its conditioning and fear of change stopping many from following their dreams. That applies to me but...i wish i had the courage to do this
🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️
Rent a van, throw a matress in the back and test it out for 2-3 days. Bring your bike/surf board
I built one and did it all across Australia and it was the best year of my life (before those horse💩 lockdowns ruined it and I had to sell it and go home)
Completely agree that big utility vehicles are the ultimate stealth. They are so much the background to our lives that they are effectively invisible.
He got that for £2.5k when it's only done 70,000 miles?! Steal is an understatement!
I find that VERY hard to believe. With a built-in tail-lift, side awning and door, and barely 2 years' commercial mileage - move the decimal point one place to the right...
@@tedthesailor172he was planning this during Covid. I can only think desperate for cash or he’s a mechanic so might of been knackered. Price seems way off tho.
I've been living in my RV since 2013 and my only regret is that I didn't do it sooner I also have a TH-cam channel called living free in my RV.
And of course, no tacho required if only for personal use and not commercial. No CPC required either, just C1 entitlement on the license.
Do you still need the regular 5 year tests?
@@garrydavies7797 Thats for CPC which he wont need
As a mountain biker and campervan owner, appreciating this one.
Oh man you dog looks so much like my old pup that passed away a few years ago. Still miss that dude every day. He was so chilled.
I would feel really claustrophobic in the wagon with no windows and no fresh air filtering through.
Think he said he had a fan pulling air in from below, and also 3 fans on top. get what you mean on the no windows thing but then he can open the slider at the back, and is literally 3 steps away from being in nature all the time!
You can install windows if you want.
@@junglegoose4648 Good thing it never rains
@@junglegoose4648this life is clearly not for them!
5 minutes in and....well..... it looks already better than a £million London flat ! Fucking amazing mate.
100% winning.
Love the orange stealth paint.
I am only envious because I never saw the potential 20 years ago.
Long may this run.
What is 'stealth' paint?
@@kevinengland7444 Top secret military issue. Disappearing vehicle against any background, making it invisible.
I ran into these guys this summer, spent a few days swimming, chilling out, good times
Totally agree with so much of what you say about the freedom and simplicity of living in a vehical. We’ve lived in a 1977 Bedford school bus in different parts of Australia for the past 4 years. Sometimes we are moving every day, sometimes we spend a few months somewhere, following the sun and jobs. Keep on keeping on, I say, who needs a house when you’ve got a lovely home (on wheels!)
I always think of doing this when I see box trucks... this guy actually did it what an inspiration it looks and feels like a home too!
Now that's what I call a mancave comfy and so cool.....👍.
This was great. When living in that size of a truck, there seems to be almost no compromises. Great stuff and safe travels.
Well done 👍💪🌞 Talk about a killer way to live financially frugal!Frugal!
Great color btw!🍊🤙
I kept waiting for an agent to come by and ask: "Oi, you got a loicense for that TV, mate?"
As a wagon/coach/bus driver. 40 years.I envy you. Loved parking overnight and the outdoors. Reading books. What a way of life. Good luck and best wishes.
What a great way to live. These videos are great, very genuine and makes you feel that this is achievable
£2500 what a steal
What a Stihl 😉
@@liveration or Stahl
70,000 km an absolute Stihl
OK, none of this works .
A) this guy is not driving legally .
Any modified truck must have all modifications declared to the dvla.
To register as a camper van, your vehicle must ,by law have at least 3 windows on the sides , plus graphics Indicating the vehicle is a camper van .
( if these conditions are not declared ,YOUR INSURANCE IS INVALID , meaning g an awkward pig could have this truck seized and potentially crushed , plus 12 points on his licence for driving without valid insurance .))
B) " fridge needed for COLD BEERS "???
Anyone drinking in any vehicle cannot consume more than the legal alcohol driving limit or they risk being charged with " ""drunk in charge of a motor vehicle ""
Meaning an automatic 12 month driving ban .....
There are ways around these problems ... but this guy is clearly not aware of them .
@@davidjacobs828 I bet you're fun at parties
Brilliant! Live your best life, Carl.

I love it, it's truly amazing. Helps being a mechanic, would be a PITA breaking down and your house being stuck in a garage
What a glorious colour! You won't miss it in a car park. Looks very comfortable. Enjoy the new lifestyle, sounds great.
Killed it as usual! Liveration coming in HOT with local van lifers!! YEWWW!!!!
Hahaha, nice one! Cheers for the comment 🙌🏼🫡 glad you're liking the videos!
This will be the norm soon. Absolutely on point, great video, love the work in progress and what a top bloke
Long before it becomes "the norm" local authorities will put the kybosh on the practice with parking regulations. I've heard that this is already happening to `wild' vanners...
@@tedthesailor172 yea they'll ruin everything for us.
Proper little Narnia van 😁. Loved the content as per guys.... You're doing alternative living proud 🙏🏻. Thank you 💚
Thanks Alan 🙌
Freedom is essential 💪
I like you are stealth with no exterior windows on the sides. I did see on another site a guy put two crank up dome windows for the roof. One was small over the bathroom to release steam and the second was over the kitchen to release cooking smells.
Respect to you living the life and remembering life’s a journey not a race 👌👌❤️
Hats off to you brother, no more living for the man, but living for yourself and realising there is another life besides the rat race!....👏🏽🙏🏾
Definitely got truck envy! Great set up and we go full time in our motorhome in the next month. Not all roses but good for the soul. Keep trucking mate cheers Dave
Great size. Enjoy your travels. Safe travels.
I'm 68 years old and I've always wanted to do that. Keep up the dream buddy. And good luck.
Haha he seems so chill. Great video.
Fair play fella, awesome setup you've got there 😎
Thanks for the great video again 💖
Inspiring lifestyle for a fraction of the cost.living the dream
Best spot ever, I always say it's a great place to park up and wake up to
you could have windows and get a matching orange colour pindot vinyl graphic so it blends in.
I wish I could do this and also the best house box iv seen I’m from Stoke on Trent his accent sounds close to my home town. Great video guys and awesome job on the truck buddy
What a fantastic home. Love it!
flipping freezing in the back winters good job
Amazing work! Hope its allright during the winter too!
Yeah I would do it I'm 63 , but just live life , brilliant ✌️
What a fabulous set up! 😊
Good on you mate
Living the best life
great set up, well done!
You need the reflective flaps that hang down when you have the taillift open - look on the back of any lorry with a taillift
Love the idea. Couple of questions, how/where do you register the van and insure it? Do you need an address? or a P.O. box?
I’ve just bought a double decker to convert, can’t wait to start building
Look forward to the videos
What a nice bloke. Good on you, Carl.
Well done, you. Looks great 😊😁👍🇬🇧
Thats brilliant! Didn't expect a proper kitchen inside 🤯❤
Love the Headroom!
Oh wow this is amazing!
I travelled England + Scotland in a canpervan for 5 months continues, The best places to stay are down narrow lanes especially in Somerset. This could be a problem in a orange truck.
Yes man,you made the right choice.living life
Real Men don't need a lot, love your build and freedom of life. Perfect way to jump out of crazy cycle 9-5 🍻👍👍👍🙏
Lub it... had my van 6yrs now lived in it 4 Yr straight all over Europe... but lub his van
Well done mate, all the best 👍
Hat's off to the big chap 😎👌
Good on you Karl.
Great set up but I'd want a skylight. We're hoping to get a box truck too one day, but a 3-tonner one. My 6ft 2in hubby needs alot of space, but no way I'm getting an HGV licence!
Btw I'd have blurred out the number plate of this one.

Im here in Australia, am 49yrs and would love to do this ... thinking of also making an office space inside mine as well so I can take my business with me too (Starlink makes that easy to do) ... this has been a great inspiration
What a truck and what a happy guy, good for you lad, true northerner winning at life 🥳
Had one did a tour of Europe spent over 2k in fuel, not cheap to run
Think it would be cheaper getting a Caravan and staying on cheap sites throughout Europe?
Where the tailgate drops down, as a platform for you to sit out on - I thought you could glue ASTROTURF ON IT. AND, of course, you would "never have to CUT the grass!"
2.5k for that is a steel, The guy seems like a top bloke and he's got a decent fitout for him to suite what he needs fair play to him 👍
