Goes as follows: ●pre 50s 'dunhill' paper/foil bottle label, black cap. ●50s 'dunhill cologne' paper/foil bottle label, black cap. ●60s 'dunhill cologne for men' paper/foil bottle label, black cap. ●70s 'dunhill cologne for men' paper/foil bottle label, gold cap. ●80s yours.
I'm old enough to have purchased Egoïste when it first lunched in the States. To my memory, it was always Egoiste in the US. Maybe it was L'egoiste in Europe first, that would be my guess.

@@grant_chamberlain yes I think its better than the night... the issues is the animalic oud doesnt come out until the deep dry down 5 or 6 hours in ... hence Beauty 🌹 & then the beast (oud)

Ottoman empire is damn near impossible...been hunting a bottle for years with no luck ... the good news is I think Adam is making another batch soon... so thats when I will probably strike 🤌🤌🤌
Interesting points. I own OEIII. And few other artisinal oud fragrances from Bortnikoff: oud maximus, oud monarch, lao oud. To my nose OE has similarities to Oud Maximus. They both used the same 5 roses acord so thats probably why. I like OEIII more. That being said. To my experience and allot of frag head and non-frag head friends around. Who are used to all my oud/animalic stuff. Two most chalanging and to both camps - close to unwearable fragrances in my collection are 1. Oud Maximus. 2. OEIII. I think its because of that rose accord. Maximus has more of it. So I am not sure its a good advice as "beginers real oud". IMO beginers real oud should be something like Oud monarch. Great colosal review though!

Russian Oud II 🥳🥳 Lets go! Interestingly enough Adam told me he tried to make Russian Oud II many times and failed at getting the blend to his high standards... so excited to see RO II come out

I own the original,vintage kilian bottle of *Rose Oud that's very rich smelling. Would love to get a sample of O E to compare. I'm sure R. Adams creation is notches better. Speaking of middle eastern frags, Soon to arrive at my door will be *AL Malaki by YAS & *SAFARI L'Homme by ASQ-------Abdul SAMED AL QURASHI.
