I don’t understand why a lot of car reviews always complain about having a lot of interior plastics on budget cars…don’t those plastics allow the low price and allow for easy cleaning? As long as the plastics look good and don’t squeak/rattle, I think that should be a good thing on budget cars. Just saying…
lol no...those plastics dont lower the price or the halogens instead of leds that is just the capitalist way of getting your money. They just force you to pay more for upper trims or upgraded cars
I really appreciate it when a reviewer actually acknowledges budget vehicles and value equations and doesn’t say, come across as an out of touch car snob.
I bought one just little over a year ago and I have driven it in all conditions. I love it. I haul horse feed in the back all the time. It is a unique looking sub SUV and it gets great gas mileage. I bought it after owning a used 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe that went more than 200,000 miles before needing some major mechanical work. It was a highly reliable vehicle and I expect this one to do the same. The sport setting on the transmission is really useful for city traffic or accelerating on the ramps. You do have to watch your driving in severe cross winds or gusty winds in this vehicle and drive accordingly.
Had mine for about 3 months now. Have the fully loaded package and for the most part I love the car. At times it would be nice to have a bit more horse power but sport mode does help. And at night everyone thinks I have my brights on bc of the projector headlights but nothing I can do about that. But the car looks nice, gets great gas mileage, has a lot of neat features like lane keep assist and safety features. The sunroof nice and so are the heated seats with heated side mirrors. Overall I'll give the car a 8/10

I just bought mine and i love it. Coming from driving a Jeep Gladiator as my main vehicle, i had to get a little commuter since gas prices are topping at almost 5.00 dollars a gallon here in California. I got the galactic grey 2022 Venue Limited, Two toned with black. The features included just feels like a steal at 23k dollars especially with how cars are so expensive now a days. Very comfortable, roomy, and doesn’t feel like an entry level car. Must consider. I originally was looking at a Subaru Crosstrek, or a Mazda C-30. I ended up with this. No regrets.
Nice! I was looking at the Crosstrek and the C-30, but ultimately decided to try & get the Venue SEL in Galactic Gray. I just put a deposit on one today. It should arrive in September.
The SEL trim for 2022 now comes with a sunroof standard. Me personally, I'd get that cool Limited trim in Denim, over Denim. To me, that looks really cool. Two tone white/denim, and a cool denim interior. Comes with remote start, but won't run the air, or heat, unless the settings have been setup before turning the engine off, which to me is ok, because you'll just get cold air coming at you on a cold day, anyway. The remote start is nice to warm the engine up, so when you turn on the heater, you're good to go, no waiting for the engine to warm up. Really like this, and, would look at this over a comparable Jeep Renegade, which would be more expensive optioned like the Limited trim is. Oh, butt warmers, too. Nice on a cool fall day.

I like it. Perfect vehicle to be cheap, stylish, practical, and small enough to remind your tall/plump loved one's that they're only with you for a short drive and not a long drive. I'll buy it for the reasons i stated, but i wish hyundai would add more powertrain options for the Venue since America's living standards are free falling to 2nd/3rd world status. Venue Hybrid: This can be done like the refresh Santa Fe. Drop the Kia Niro powertrain in this thing. Venue N-Line: Sportier look, sportier suspension tuning, wider 17in wheels, add optional IMT (I never drove a manual transmission in a car before, but i plenty of experience in rigs). Venue N: Why is this not being built? Who wouldn't like a go-cart CUV that's the size of a Fiat 500 Abarth and gen 2 mini? Drop all the i20 N upgrades in this thing. Also, bring the AX1 (code name for now) to the US once it's reveal. We can't have enough CUVs. I can tell by the spy shots it have more interior space than the Chevy Spark hatch/Activ (currently the smallest CUV is the US) and Mitsubishi Mirage.

Excellent review. Seems like a fair assessment of the pros and cons. This vehicle is on my shopping list. I'm looking for a sub-$20k hatchback or CUV. The Venue seems like a worthy contender. I love the styling inside and out. It's a clean, attractive design that I suspect will age well. I'm considering the Kia Soul too, but honestly, I'm not a fan of the styling. The Venue has mechanical technology in it that is new to Hyundai, so I'm a little leery of the reliability. Notably the IVT transmission and the DPI fuel injection system.
The venue could be a small car but for the price it is a good car it is a very good car for the people who are looking to buy a economic family car . Overall: 8/10
Maybe I can as I own a 2020 Venue Sel, Galactic Grey. I've never driven an AWD so I can't compare. Always had trouble driving in snow with my old Dodge Dakota rear wheel drive. My Hyundai does really well in snow, even without snow mode. Drove in 5 inches of snow without snow mode, and it's also great in muddy areas.
I own this car and it has not disappointed in any aspect! I got it for the safety rating and the leg room fr the driver. The tech is also the best part. Most cars ask for more money for what I think should be standard tech these days. Lane keep assist, pedestrian detection, the gas mileage is amazing. 40 for almost 400 miles, c’mon!

Thanks for sharing this! Specially, I liked interior review, it was so helpful to awake me the interior is the plastic.... no good 😂. Anyhow Venue is cute and reasonable car. Have a plan for purchase it soon!
You can get a brand new 2021 Tucson Limited for around 25k now, and that's the top trim, much more room and nicer interior. Catch one of those before the 2022 Tucson arrives would be a great deal.
@@dearbulls no I’m asking you if the current but soon to be previous generation is that low price you said and you mentioned it being the top spec trim. I’m just asking if it’s the fully loaded model that can be had for $25? Not the newly redesigned 2022- I know the new generation isn’t going to be that inexpensive for the top trim. You got my attention tho and I’ll get on dealer websites and buy the current one if it’s as spectacular as you said. Cuz daddy needs a Gud deal!
@@2004cyrus LOL 😆 sorry about that bud. When you said HUD it just caught my attention. Yes, it's 2020 or 2021 tucson ultimate AWD, the top trim. MSRP 35k+, now at the Matthews, NC dealer it is 26k+, you can find them on cargurus, set searching radius to "nationwide". Your local dealership might not list price that low, but you can definitely print out the lowest from cargurus and ask your local to beat the price. It does have pano roof, wireless charging, leather seat, but NO HUD. This feature only on Santa Fe and Palisade. Not even the new 2022 Tucson has HUD.
@@dearbulls oh okay no problem I’m HUD I don’t need that. The deal sounds amazing for all of those other items! You know your stuff! Thanks again for the information I will look at my dealers online now! I’m in the market. I was thinking VW Taos but this Hyundai will be a better value and have a longer warranty and 3 years of scheduled maintenance included
For the most part I really like my fully loaded Venue. My only issue is that it doesn't seem to handle that great in the snow. I live in Minnesota so for snow storms need that extra traction. I even questioned if it was a front wheel drive vehicile because I've had small compact cars that handled better in the snow. But it's a nice car to drive (when not snowing) I get alot of "cute car" comments and its roomier than a car.
Uprgrade your tires. How the car handles the snow is 99% tires. My son just leased a Venu, and I'm immediately taking the stock tires off and replacing them with Michelin Cross Climates.
Generally speaking, boxy cars age better, design wise, than super swoops or weird angular looking vehicles. Because the design isn't polarizing, it's almost boring, while being very practical. A good example would be like a Volvo 144s. It was produced in the late 1960s and early 1970s. It still has a design language that would translate easily into the Volvo family of sedans today. That's a 50 year old, three box design.
My only HUGE gripe and disappointment about this car is their SEL & LIMITED trims make no sense. If you get the top end LIMITED trim you won't have the ability to add a moonroof, you will get WIRED Apple Car Play/Android Auto vs the WIRELESS that you would standard on the lower end SE & SEL trims which doesn't make any sense to me, especially because they have a wireless charger only available in the LIMITED trim built in. On top of that, the LIMITED trim only comes in three colors. & dark gray is not an option on the the exterior colors of the car unless you get lower trim models. So they really screwed up very badly on the trim levels. Once they fix that up, I would probably have to consider this car, because it would be a good buy otherwise.
Thank you for the great review if i may i will like to add that reconsidering buying it is a wise decision too, I have a 2021 with only 2000 miles and turns out that it has two long pieces of undercarriage protection panels that if you drive it in strong rain will rip of the screws, leaving you with almost a $700 bill to replace them both because is not cover by the supposed bumper to bumper warranty, because if you don't replace them could damage supposed under vehicle sensors. I really apologize to anyone that is really looking forward to buying this vehicle but this little details is what ruins anyone's experience good luck....
I currently have one as a rental. They could do an N model with the Elantra 1.8…or…the Sonata 2.4. I would prefer the 2.4. Imagine the size Venue with Sonata power. That would be fun. I do really like it so far.
This is probably for someone single or a couple without kids or older people. Backseat is ridiculous but it’s cheap. I love Hyundai and they have some great options from the accent, to this car to top of the line cars and trucks and the N line is nice too.
The only thing I wish it had is a bigger gas tank… I had a Hyundai sonata with an 18.5 gallon tank and it was perfect for my commute to work. But going to this would mean more time at the gas station and I don’t want that. I hate the rims too Lmao
Hyundai's are meant to be cheap. Saw this car on the road today and had to look it up because honestly the outside looks pretty good. Too bad it's so cheap inside. Really interested in the Mazda cx-30

I am looking at this car but I need to fit one booster seat and one car seat in the back. Anyone have experience with this car and kids seats?
Thanks for sharing this! Specially, I liked interior review, it was so helpful to awake me the interior is the plastic.... no good 😂. Anyhow Venue is cute and reasonable car. Have a plan for purchase it soon!
Great video. Very helpful!
I prefer the Kona over the Venue. But it’s a great looking car.
You can get a brand new 2021 Tucson Limited for around 25k now, and that's the top trim, much more room and nicer interior. Catch one of those before the 2022 Tucson arrives would be a great deal.
That’s actually not a bad deal at all! And that’s a top trim? Like panoramic sunroof and wireless charging and heads up display and leather and so on?
@@2004cyrus you are probably talking about 2022. The one on sale is 2021
@@dearbulls no I’m asking you if the current but soon to be previous generation is that low price you said and you mentioned it being the top spec trim.
Is this bigger then the Kia soul?
no
Thank you for the review. Love from india
I'm considering the Venue Denim edition as a daily long commuter. Also considering the Corolla hybrid which is a similar price
almost nobody needs a car better than this
I’m 6 feet tall. I’m wondering how tall you are because you looked comfortable in the driver’s seat.
This is interesting because I just read a comment from someone in Michigan, who said theirs did great in winter.
Uprgrade your tires.
How the car handles the snow is 99% tires.
My son just leased a Venu, and I'm immediately taking the stock tires off and replacing them with Michelin Cross Climates.
My baby! I have one like this, that color.
like your review, very well rounded
Are Turbo engines good in the long run??
I've heard they are not
Awesome video I'm trying to decide between this or a Tucson
Generally speaking, boxy cars age better, design wise, than super swoops or weird angular looking vehicles. Because the design isn't polarizing, it's almost boring, while being very practical. A good example would be like a Volvo 144s. It was produced in the late 1960s and early 1970s. It still has a design language that would translate easily into the Volvo family of sedans today. That's a 50 year old, three box design.
if the wheelbase is longer then it wouldn't be cramp on the back seats for 5'9" height.
have a 2023 so far i love it
My only HUGE gripe and disappointment about this car is their SEL & LIMITED trims make no sense.
I'm working on getting one now, in this same color.
I love the Venue
I currently have one as a rental. They could do an N model with the Elantra 1.8…or…the Sonata 2.4. I would prefer the 2.4. Imagine the size Venue with Sonata power. That would be fun. I do really like it so far.
Best $20K value vehicle on the market today
This is probably for someone single or a couple without kids or older people. Backseat is ridiculous but it’s cheap. I love Hyundai and they have some great options from the accent, to this car to top of the line cars and trucks and the N line is nice too.
Wow that's a cool little putput for use around town, giving rides for the kids and runs to Home Depot. LOL
For the price, I have no complaints.
Spend a little more and get the Kona. I have one and I love it.
The Kona is a lot more
There’s no excuse for the car not to have padded armrests, its a dealbreaker
🤣
WHITE ROOF version reminds me of MINI COOPER.
Common man? Is this 1951?
i love your videos
I want one for my tight condo parking.
Like the way your jeans fit.
It’s just so adorable lol
If creta is launched in US it will be competing with Ford and GM
What about the common woman? Would she like this car?
Yes! Dollar for dollar, the Venue is one of the most enjoyable vehicles I've tested. Thank you for watching!
