Jesse Heidenthal yes but for those that are young and want to get into racing... they are forced to start out on a 2 stroke saying that there are no competitive 4 stroke bikes like say in a 125 class, forcing them to go to 2 stroke at a young age to later on a 4 stroke... it's really disappointing... they really need to change it
Jesse Heidenthal yes but most 4 strokes like 250' s and 450' s are actually getting very light which they could use the same weight cutting strategies for smaller 4 stroke bikes... but yes you are definitely correct
I like how we didn't have to hear it run or see anyone ride it. Because as a two-stroke fan, when I click a video about a two-stroke, the last thing I want to see or hear is a damned two-stroke.
Thank craig guy from bikeworx in New Zealand, he built the conversion kit! Pro circuit bought the kit off him, then took credit for it, or at least didnt pay him credit for it.. a bit shit, esp bcos craig is so humble and will never say anything about it - I will though! I worked with craig and watched him built the very 1st custom 125 (you can see it on instagram; search moshi kx125, by memory), it's his hard work that went into making the admittedly pretty awesome pro circuit bike in this video!!
2017 kxf250 parts on the last generation kx125 is a great looking bike too my eye,, it must be quite a easy build because very similar bikes have been built many times over around the world.
Pretty cool.. they didnt mention the conversion/adaptor kit that makes all the pretty bits possible was designed and built by Craig Guy at Bikeworx in NZ (Dirtbike Mag you should mention Craig in your next article/video - he's extremely humble but i know it would make his day!). Pretty cool to see it getting out there, especially with a pro race team like Pro Circuit and Jon has done a pretty awesome job of tricking the bike out. Hopefully Craig gets his due because he put many, many hours of hard work and 40 years of mechanical experience into designing the kit. If anyone's interested in seeing the original build of this conversion kit check out Moshi902 on instagram - you can see all the work he did and the different parts of the kit, including the airbox, which is ingenious - and you can see the bike being ridden, its only around the back of the workshop but still, you get to see and hear it in action.
Is there a video of this against a new yz or ktm/husqy/gas gas? If they still make these it makes sense to get a Kawi 250F and if it ever blows up u can do this.
I love my Kawasaki 140l, and I live Kawasaki and I’m a 4 stroke guy all my life, it’s just that 2 strokes break easier and you have to buy by oil to mix with the gas and everything and just a 4 stroke just take your car gas... and now oil..., and 4 strokes are staying to get more popular that every dealership tells me and that why they don’t have that much 2 strokes...
Extremely wrong, 2 strokes always have and always will be more popular, they were removed from supercross because of "emissions" but really the AMA knew that in the early years the 4 strokes had no chance of beating them, so by removing 2 strokes they we're almost 100% guaranteed to be liked, and no they don't break easier. A 4 stroke needs it's valves adjusted every 15 hours, and you can get 75 hours on a piston of a 250 2 stroke, 3 times sometimes more, before needing a complete rebuilt. Also, complete rebuild on 450f probably looking at 1500$+ complete rebuild on kx250 2 stroke? 500$ max.
Bob Jones you couldn't get all that for 460nzd, pipe alone (exhaust race team issue) would be that, rear subframe, port n pol, sus a tune kit, body work, PC triple clamps, OS rotor, airbox, boot, etc etc, if it is take my money now!
im not talking all the fancy pro circuit stuff, im talking the actual conversion kit and adaptor you need to mount the 2017 250f plastics, subframe, airbox, muffler and radiators to the '08 frame, those part's arent pro circuit.
Bob Jones so you would still need to purchase the new purpose built subframe ? and plastics at a minimum on top of the conversion kit? The PC stuff only and if wanted or warranted to replace anything due for replacement. Cheers
Hey man go on instagram and search 'moshi kx 125' or maybe just 'moshi' and you'll see pics and a vid of the very first custom kx125 built with the conversion kit, and if you msg craig you can still buy the kits for around 450nzd..
this is craig guy's build - not carson's or pro circuits (well pro circuit supplied all the fancy bits but craig built the adaptor/conversion kit, including the airbox, subframe, muffler etc etc adaptors. check out Moshi902 on instagram to see more pics and vids of bike running..
I love kawasaki but I wish they would make the kx125 available to the public again because I don't want to hop on a 250 not just yet. But I would choose a kx 125 over a yz125 or a ktm 125 sx 😩
you can see it run - check out Moshi902 on instagram for more pics and videos of THE original build using the adaptor/conversion kit EDIT: the video of the bike running has the image of a green lawn and a shed - you cant actually see the bike in the "image" of the video - craig rides it around the corner from behind the shed and puts it on a box stand and the video shows the work he did on the bike - if you look closely at the left hand side of the bike you can see the adaptor that joins the '17 250f sub frame to the '08 125 frame, and the airbox mods, if you look at the bike in the dirtbike mag video above you will notice the exact same adaptor and airbox..
Only 3 seconds of ride time?!?!?! What kind of person would tease people like that?!?!?i waited 3 and a half minutes for the sweet wound of a 2 stroke tearing it up and all I got was a takeoff? Way to leave me hanging. Gee wiz
Lets have the video editor play with the volume level of the music near the start and end... yea, lets crank that up to 11... and put the rest of the volume at a 6 or 7 and lets show 2 different bikes in the video, one with a green frame and one with a gray silver.
A 30 second intro AND an outro is WAY too much dead idle time, and it diminishes the quality of your videos. If you need to advertise, put all the logos up on a single frame. 15 seconds should be MAX (TOTAL!) for pro-level production intro and/or outros... Increase content quality rather than stalling with bloated fat before and after videos. Hey, wouldn't it have been nice if the 47 wasted seconds on this video had been spent showing ride footage? 😉😉😉
true but it has A kit suspension so it would out handle most new bikes, and would still go reasonably good after pro circuit built the engine, And Alloy frames are good but so is chrome moly just ask KTM riders
yeah you dumbass KTM and Husky frames are still steel you putz...they seem to do alright. Maybe you should know a few things before you open your mouth and let all the turds fall out... I figure you to be about 14 Y/O.
um there is no new massive gains made in geometry to make bikes handle a lot better than 10 years ago buddy, but better fork and shocks make a ton of improvments, so this little kx125 with the A kit suspension would ride like a magic carpet.
Dirt Bike is kissing ass the bike is Not the best conversion that has been done. They say all the other ones are flawed. Nice Pro Circuit parts but the attention to detail is a big oversight. Decals not right, new axle nut old axle (too long), and some brackets you can't see are crap. The 2017 450 plastic fits better. It is cool, but definitely not the best. I was surprised that Pro Circuit cut so many corners. I expected Pro Circuit to do a way better job. Looks like they rushed just to get one out there and get on the 2 stroke band wagon.
Joel McDonald yeah see what you meen the bracket that holds subframe to the main frame near the foot pegs.i noticed that yeah its not the best id rather have a new ktm or tm 125
nope not a carson brown copy - the adaptor kit for the subframe, airbox, muffler etc etc was designed and built from scratch by a mechanical genius late last year for pro circuit, the guy who designed/built it wouldnt even know who carson brown is.
im telling you the original designer/builder of this kit doesnt know carson brown - or didnt, he does now because he's since seen the build carson did, which is awesome. pro circuit did not design or build this kit - craig guy from bikeworx way over in little old new zealand did - he built it, pro circuit heard of it and wanted one to check out, craig sent them 2 sets of the kit, they then ordered another 25 odd kits which craig spent 2 or 3 weeks of 18 hour days building and finishing them (all on top of his other job of owning/running a motorbike repair shop called bikeworx) and i personally took the kits to the post office and sent them to jon at pro circuit. check out Moshi902 on instagram - you can see the the very first kx125 conversion using the kit craig designed - and you get to see it run, only around the back of the workshop but still - better than nothing! btw the original build craig did was called "project 1014"
you check it out?? pretty sweet huh?! im telling you craig guy is the fucken man - he designed and built this kit and did it before anyone else, afaik.. tbh it doesnt really matter who did what first, carson's build is awesome, so is craig's - both deserve recognition for the work they've done. i really do hope dirtbike mag and pro circuit give craig his due, somehow it seems unfair that the one person who was vital in putting this all together doesnt get a mention eh? and craig is so humble he wont ask or expect it, which is why i want him to get it more than anything atm.
That conversion is sick! I hope they incorporate something like that with older models too
Man it was a big mistake that Kawasaki stopped making 2 strokes
I see you everywhere
thomas pileski not really, four strokes are where it's at money wise.
Jesse Heidenthal yes but for those that are young and want to get into racing... they are forced to start out on a 2 stroke saying that there are no competitive 4 stroke bikes like say in a 125 class, forcing them to go to 2 stroke at a young age to later on a 4 stroke... it's really disappointing... they really need to change it
Sage Crawfish Weight is the problem with 4 strokes, most kids wouldn't be able to pick up a bike in equal size to a 65 2 stroke.
Jesse Heidenthal yes but most 4 strokes like 250' s and 450' s are actually getting very light which they could use the same weight cutting strategies for smaller 4 stroke bikes... but yes you are definitely correct
I like how we didn't have to hear it run or see anyone ride it. Because as a two-stroke fan, when I click a video about a two-stroke, the last thing I want to see or hear is a damned two-stroke.
they did show it being rode lol
Not the same bike lol! Older model older green painted frame
Every one can bash this video but im going to say thank you dirt bike mag. and pro circuit for making this bike and this video. I like it a lot👍👍👌
Thank craig guy from bikeworx in New Zealand, he built the conversion kit! Kawasaki needs to come out with a 2019 brand new 125 2-stroke i would get it as soon as it was in stores
i think alot of people would
2017 kxf250 parts on the last generation kx125 is a great looking bike too my eye,, it must be quite a easy build because very similar bikes have been built many times over around the world.

wow didnt see this before I want two kits and nobody makes them...cheers
Is there a video of this against a new yz or ktm/husqy/gas gas? If they still make these it makes sense to get a Kawi 250F and if it ever blows up u can do this.
Not gonna ride it? wtf
Yea bs
super cool video keep them coming
Dang that bike sounds healthy 👌🔥
God bless Jon Primo and Pro Circuit, now please make me another one please
2:36 lol why does it say kx 250F on the graphics when it's a 2stroke😂
still looks badass tho
because they use plastics and chasis of a kx250f but they put a 125 engine
thats not a kx250f frame LMAO Fucking idiot
JB 73 FILMS no it actually says kx50f!!! Lol!!!
Xr80man, yea but I'm just assuming it would be a 2😂
I love my Kawasaki 140l, and I live Kawasaki and I’m a 4 stroke guy all my life, it’s just that 2 strokes break easier and you have to buy by oil to mix with the gas and everything and just a 4 stroke just take your car gas... and now oil..., and 4 strokes are staying to get more popular that every dealership tells me and that why they don’t have that much 2 strokes...

Have a 05, just did complete rebuild. Not Pro Circuit pipe, but FMF. Has Boyeson VForce reeds. Wondering what jetting you guys used for carb?
The conversation kit probably gonna cost as much if not more than a decent running kx125
jacobriver198 still cheaper than a 4t 250 and prob some change for another one,
Probably buy two these haha.
actually not - you can get this exact kit for about $450 NZD
Bob Jones you couldn't get all that for 460nzd, pipe alone (exhaust race team issue) would be that, rear subframe, port n pol, sus a tune kit, body work, PC triple clamps, OS rotor, airbox, boot, etc etc, if it is take my money now!

Why Didn't U Guys show the Bike being rode ?? :(:(
they did. only the start though
R31D thats the start of every one of their vids. Its not that kx shown in the video
Dream bike!
If you go this far, why not use a modified kxf aluminum frame and not the old steel one??
That's sick
Still waiting to find the conversion kit 😂
Hey man go on instagram and search 'moshi kx 125' or maybe just 'moshi' and you'll see pics and a vid of the very first custom kx125 built with the conversion kit, and if you msg craig you can still buy the kits for around 450nzd..
Will this be available soon?

Do you know what it mean KX125-M? What does the M mean?
please dirtbike magazine, update the kdx220r 2004 up please🙏
Got a 05 that is almost a pretty as this. Built from rolling chassis.
Is that a 4stroke gear lever??
Isn't this Carson browns?
no Carson's dad did his own built, it's quite similar though
this is craig guy's build - not carson's or pro circuits (well pro circuit supplied all the fancy bits but craig built the adaptor/conversion kit, including the airbox, subframe, muffler etc etc adaptors. check out Moshi902 on instagram to see more pics and vids of bike running..
Nice one just rename the video to 2019 and hope no one notices..
Lol, good eye
id like to buy this machine.
Dope!
Still waiting for your kit
I love kawasaki but I wish they would make the kx125 available to the public again because I don't want to hop on a 250 not just yet. But I would choose a kx 125 over a yz125 or a ktm 125 sx 😩
What plastics are these

jurcek 000 no a kx100 would be good. You would be to short for a 125
That’s a smokin bike
is the kx 85 the same as the 125????
Luis Camero no

Only 3 seconds of ride time?!?!?! What kind of person would tease people like that?!?!?i waited 3 and a half minutes for the sweet wound of a 2 stroke tearing it up and all I got was a takeoff? Way to leave me hanging. Gee wiz
Coooool
Tyler monagan where u at
Can I get this?
song 0:14
2-stroke racing would be much more
Interesting to watch than 4-stroke.
Imagine, the pros racing 450cc 2-strokes.
What a 2 stroke lacks makes up for it into power what does Clarkson say power lol more speed more power
Deceiving title.
I have one of those
And that’s how you make billions make some new 125 class bikes
Ah another DirtBike Magazine "Lets dump 4 grand into a 1k dollar bike. Yeah, cause thats practical. Haha
Lets have the video editor play with the volume level of the music near the start and end... yea, lets crank that up to 11... and put the rest of the volume at a 6 or 7
and lets show 2 different bikes in the video, one with a green frame and one with a gray silver.
It's the same size as a 250 so even tho the quit making 2 strokes a 250 would be the same. Plus it says 250 on the graphics
3:19 thats a 250t
It's 1am oh well
Why don’t they just start making 125 again
Gage Krech Doesn't make them as much money, Cost them money in research and development.
2:36 Kx50F :D
I got 2007 kx 125
A 30 second intro AND an outro is WAY too much dead idle time, and it diminishes the quality of your videos. @tylermonagan
Do you know how well that would sell if they made 250's and 125's like that? Just saying Kawi.. HINT HINT
So what exactly did they do here?
Took a 450 4 stroke & made it a 125 2 stroke?
What was the point, to sell a conversion kit idea?
Stupid.
Where's my Suzuki squad at??😀
Sage Crawfish no where
not here buddy Lol
Who gives a shit its an old bikes with new plastics not even an alloy frame. Stop baiting people into these false videos.
true but it has A kit suspension so it would out handle most new bikes, and would still go reasonably good after pro circuit built the engine, And Alloy frames are good but so is chrome moly just ask KTM riders
That frame is hella old
m1ke2001 The 02-07 Honda CR frames and late model Suzuki RM frames are hella old but will still out handle most modern MX bikes
yeah you dumbass KTM and Husky frames are still steel you putz...they seem to do alright.
Lol that will never be available to the public!!!
2
F@%k sake . . . just bring them back 125 & 250. The 2stroke guy's will never buy a 4stroke, ever.
3
Sell me this bike
2 stroke fastest, just takes a ton more effort to try to compete with the very tractable 4 stroke.
Dirt Bike is kissing ass the bike is Not the best conversion that has been done. They say all the other ones are flawed. Nice Pro Circuit parts but the attention to detail is a big oversight. just sell the complete bike!
WHY THE FUCK does it say kx250f ;) can't team up with dcor and get a custom graphic Not ;)
1st
4T SHIT
Kaw or nothing
2nd
"Spec"
and that's exactly how to copy Carson Brown
nope not a carson brown copy - the adaptor kit for the subframe, airbox, muffler etc etc was designed and built from scratch by a mechanical genius late last year for pro circuit, the guy who designed/built it wouldnt even know who carson brown is.
Bob Jones bet they would know him. And I'm not saying its the exact same but Carson Brown just did that a few months ago with his kx125
im telling you the original designer/builder of this kit doesnt know carson brown - or didnt, he does now because he's since seen the build carson did, which is awesome. pro circuit did not design or build this kit - craig guy from bikeworx way over in little old new zealand did - he built it, pro circuit heard of it and wanted one to check out, craig sent them 2 sets of the kit, they then ordered another 25 odd kits which craig spent 2 or 3 weeks of 18 hour days building and finishing them (all on top of his other job of owning/running a motorbike repair shop called bikeworx) and i personally took the kits to the post office and sent them to jon at pro circuit. check out Moshi902 on instagram - you can see the the very first kx125 conversion using the kit craig designed - and you get to see it run, only around the back of the workshop but still - better than nothing! btw the original build craig did was called "project 1014"

Bah.. i don' t like it
