It is a loss for Yes. But the loss to Yes is our gain. It is good for Jon that he can navigate his own way through a 2020's music business that is unhelpful to senior artists at best, on his own terms. He is not feeling creatively torn by his loyalties being tested.
Madness to think that this man is 80 years old. Equally mad to listen to this and hear that voice as pristine and beautiful as it ever was. Nuts to then realize that this album, on the strength of this track, is likely gonna be his best body of work for a long. long time. Are we living in the twilight zone?

Wow! What a great song. Jon is sounding so good, and the Band Geeks are the perfect musicians for him to be working with now. Andy Graziano is a very talented guitarist, he really shines on this track.
The Ladder is good. But Magnification is awesome. "In the presence of" is as good as any of the classic Yes masterpieces. And "Give love each day" makes me literally cry. Those who like Yes should give Magnification a chance. It is a gem.
Amazing. I remembered why i was such a fan of Yes in my teenage years, around the release of 90125. Music so rich, multilayered, lush and mesmerizing. This song alone is like constructed of at least 5 separate songs - for so e of the modern rock band that's pretty much a whole album. Jon's energy and musical talent are immense❤
Band Geeks is such a great band, Its like I know they are not trying to be Yes but you play like who you are influenced by , and its like Yes in 2024 and its a great song

The band members that Jon is playing with show their passion and enthusiasm by nailing every Yes song on this tour with precision . Jon Anderson just has a special magic. His voice mixes so well with the music. He truly is one of the greatest and most gifted singers of all time. People have complained about his lyrics in the past with Yes. But I have no problem with it. I'm not trying to say that words aren't important. They are. But it is more about how they mix and flow with the music. It is also amazing how great he sounds at this age. He is a timeless treasure. We are all fortunate to have someone like Jon Anderson in the world today. We should celebrate him and any and all new music that comes from him.

This is a great Yes song. Been listening since 1971. Seen them in different parts of the world. Jon Anderson Rocks! Heavy, light and thoughtful all at once. WOW. Favorite lead vocalist no matter who he is playing with. Kind of a combination of "Animation" and "Ladder" Albums song.
Seriously, Jon's voice is a force of nature. Can't think of any other singer whose voice never seems to age. Phenomenal band as well. Best Yes in a long long time (I know it's The Band Geeks... they deserve their due on their own terms, but this is so much more engaging and exciting than any recent Yes activity)

All of my 70's rock heroes are getting old. Except for Jon. His voice is still so damned strong and perfect it is astounding. Saw him live last year and was amazed. Close your eyes and he's still in his 20's. Long Live Jon!!!
Band on fire! I first heard Jon's incredible voice in 1970 (The Yes Album). 54 years ago! At that time, I could not have imagined that he would still be singing so well at the age of 79. (If a band calling itself Yes doesn't have Jon on lead vocals, it's NO. Jon is the voice of YES.)
Saw Jon ans Band Geeks a couple weeks ago. I had dinner with band across the street from venue and all very nice and personable. Spoke wit Jon after show. He was very nice but he seemed to be in a lot pain. Symptom of getting old. I knew. Thanks to Jon and the band. They,re kindness is second to the light that emanates from Their instruments.😁

Wow. Awesome new music from Jon. After so many years, he is still one of the greatest rock and roll singers ever. And the musicians in his band are all fantastic. One of my favorite albums of all time from any artist is Jon's 1988 album In The City of Angels. When I heard the song In A Lifetime, I knew that would be the song played at my wedding. I had no idea back then who the girl would be, but I knew that song would be my wedding song. (In 1996, my wife was cool with that as our song. Whew!). I can't wait to hear the rest of what Jon and the Band Geeks have to offer.
Being a drummer myself, I have learned to hear the different styles, be it Bonham, Bufford, Allen, Sucherman, and a whole host of others. Don't know what this drummers name is, but he has captured the sound of Bill and Allen in an incredible way. Amazing
According to the interview with Jon Anderson in a recent issue of Classic Rock, this doesn't look likely. We do have another Stolt/Anderson release to look forward to though.
Aside from Jon’s voice sounding preternaturally fresh - a miracle in itself - the songs and the extraordinary Band Geeks make this sound like prime era Yes combined with the best of Jon’s solo work of the 80s, without needing to make any allowances or apologies. This is the most convincing the Yes style has sounded in decades. Are we down the worm hole and can I stay here, please?
This new album ... Jon Anderson and The Band Geeks, True, is truly STUNNING. I have seen the band on this 2024 USA tour in Boston twice now. The band is ferociously good live as well and after all these years, Jon is in top form. Magnificent!!!

I thought Magnification was a very good album
The Ladder is good. But Magnification is awesome. "In the presence of" is as good as any of the classic Yes masterpieces. And "Give love each day" makes me literally cry. Those who like Yes should give Magnification a chance. It is a gem.

Having been a Jon / Yes fan for 50 years and a Band Geeks fan for far less, this Amalgamation of brilliance is Phenomenal. Please bring it to the UK.
According to the interview with Jon Anderson in a recent issue of Classic Rock, this doesn't look likely. We do have another Stolt/Anderson release to look forward to though.

Aside from Jon’s voice sounding preternaturally fresh - a miracle in itself - the songs and the extraordinary Band Geeks make this sound like prime era Yes combined with the best of Jon’s solo work of the 80s, without needing to make any allowances or apologies.
This is the most convincing the Yes style has sounded in decades. Are we down the worm hole and can I stay here, please?

This new album ... Jon Anderson and The Band Geeks, True, is truly STUNNING.
I have seen the band on this 2024 USA tour in Boston twice now.
The band is ferociously good live as well and after all these years, Jon is in top form.

Band Geek leader (and bassist here) said Talk is his favourite album. Not just favourite Yes album, but favourite bar none. So no surprise there.
Not sure how Blue Oyster Cult (his main band) feel about that though.

Listen to Mystery or Magic Pie, some amazing stuff is out there, just isn't promoted by the record companies at all.

The Opening Acoustic Guitar lick reminds me Very Much (in tone and key) of the opening of the title track "Magnification" from same named album; which can only be a good thing. JON ! PLEASE COME TO THE UK, We Miss You! Namaste.🙏
