It's another eventing video... Finally! Sorry this has taken so long to get out, life has been crazy, but very exciting stuff coming up! Today we head to Waverton House for the very first time with DD to do a 90. This will be her last run before Badminton Horse Trials, so it was really important we had a good run. Although the scores don't reflect it, we had a great day out. Hope you enjoy watching!

the confidense. im actually tearing up. SO proud of you. when you are on the completely other side it would be amazing with a video where you talk about and show clips of all the things youve done to get trough the rough patch, and what things made the huge chance, and what was smaller puzzle pieces in the grand picture. its insane what a few months can do with the right support. such a good job. well done

I think you are right. Going wrong in the Dressage lifted the pressure for the rest of the phases. I once fell off in the warm-up at a hunter show. Got grass stains all up and down my show coat, but I was thinking, well, the worst has already happened, things have got to improve from here on. I relaxed and did much better in the actual classes.

I think it's soooooo important to see this side of competitive sports that there are days when things are just not falling into pieces. It's a huge motivation for hobby equestrians like me that sometimes this happens to all of us. You just have to move forward. Well done Meg, congrats for your riding and beyond!! 👏👏🤝🙏

Congrats on a productive outing! Seems like you got exactly what you needed out of the day (even if Dee had to suffer the terrible indignity of being steered wrong in the dressage, lol).
You are an inspiration and I wish you were around when I was riding. I wasn’t as strong as you and I left the sport after a few bad falls. I never rode again after I retired my heart horse and I miss it so much now. I feel like if you were around I may have processed my fear much better. I really appreciate how honest and raw you allow yourself to be in front of the camera. I know that you have helped so many young riders and also allow oldies in their 30s like me to live vicariously through you 😂

As a one off to see if it keeps your nerves down why not let Hannah warm Dee and Jam in the warm up for show jumping, and you get on her and go straight in? As it seems that it's in the warm up where your nerves build which makes you panic for the real thing so id remove that until your confidence is back. I would actually pop over one fence in the warm arena after iv done my round to finish off, working in a way backwards helps your brain get rid of nerves as it's the routine and patten which triggers it all! ❤

You have GOT to trust that your horses can do their job without so much micromanaging. You can practice doing low courses at home with your hands pinned at a low crest release and just stay in 2 pt. Create rhythm using your driving leg in rhythm and support with the rhythm of the seat swing. Steer with your legs and keep those hands pinned unless you absolutely need them. ❤❤🎉

I LOVE all the vids. Give me all of them. I can not believe that it’s almost time for Badders and the babies!!!!!!!!!! How did we get here so quickly. It was an amazing season of building your confidence up and getting on top of your fears. I’m so happy you are happy!!!!!! Dee is such a honest pony. She knows what her job is and you’re the pilot. I’m going to have to watch it again, everything was a jumble after Hobs said she was retiring! 😮😮😮 Who is going to drive the truck? Who is going to sooth the mares? You know some days they want a cuddle and a yummie and some days they want to bite your head off and run away! Hobs always seems to know what to say to soothe them. My world just went topsy turvy. Oh, and well done on your ride. She looked really keen in XC.
