As an autistic person I'd like to say your review is extremely valuable for people with my condition. Good to know bose is still the leader in Noise Cancelation, the Bose Earbuds Quietcomfort II, which you classified as God tier ANC, was one of the happiest experiences I ever had. I decided to buy it last year, after watching your review. Now you gave me enough reasons to consider having the Bose QC Ultra Headphones.
I am completely surprised that the AirPods dropped out of your top 10. Hell, the AirPods aren't in your top 15! The earbud makers must have truly stepped up their game and caught Apple snoozing. Solid review as always.
Yes, airpods are probably pretty good overall. They were good and still kinda continue to serve their purpose , but people are starting to find , and already have, found alternatives that are better for the same price, better for cheaper prices, or the same as airpods for cheaper prices. Soundcore might be an example, but I'm not sure since I haven't really tried any of these alternatives. Heck, I haven't even used airpods or any apple products besides my iPad so I'm not caught up.

Currently my number 1 bang and olufson beoplay Ferrari edition 2 bowers and wilkins Pi7 3 sennheiser momentum 3 4 would be Bose but I sold them so guess airpods pro USB c just because I just bought my first iPhone and 5 buds 2 pro . There are some others I have but only a couple there's still a few more I want to try but it's expensive haha I want to try the technics and master and dynamic
@@michaelmarquez6133 100% of every earbud I've ever purchased were from Flossy's recommendation. My faves have consistently been the Samsung Galaxy's. They don't have the best sounds, but the fit, size, and connection speed are the absolute best of all of my buds. Even the charging case has the right feel to slide into my pocket. Wear, feel, look, etc. are all VERY subjective things; however, Flossy hasn't steered me wrong yet.
I purchased both of these this week. I like them both. I had the QC35 and the QC Earbuds. The QC are my go to for air travel and the buds are my go to for working in the yard. After a short time of using the buds and adjusting the sizing options for the in-ear tips and the rings I think these are my all time favorites.

Glad to hear these are on par with Sony for ANC. A lot of premium cans have had a hard time reaching that level. And if you can’t drown out the outside noise there’s no way the music is going to sound it’s best.
I just switched out the Black Bose QC 45 for the Bose QC cypress green and the ANC is significantly stronger than the Bose QC 45. The ANC is also stronger than on the Sony 1000xm5.
I have both the m5 and the quietcomfort ultra and the anc is definitely better in the ultras. Sound quality and build quality is better too. They even fold unlike my M5s. The only thing I think the Sonys are better at is the mic. I think my voice sounds better on the Sony. But for everything else the bose are way better. Not that Sonys are bad but ultras are definitely superior.

Managed to get a pair of the Ultra Headphones at Wal-Mart for $269. Everything about these cans are an upgrade from the QC 35 II's they'll be replacing. That EQ and immersive audio are a complete game changer! Christmas came early for me and I love it!

It's true he did get it for that price. It was around midnight that Walmart accidentally changed its price incorrectly. Those that were fast enough got it for that price delivered two days later. I missed out on it.
I've always had the impression that Bose and Sony products are overpriced for average sound, but after purely watching Floss Reviews, especially this one,i can see why they are purchased, especially in the headphone department.However, i still think they are a little overpriced in some aspects, but at least they have upgrades unlike many other products like airpods or some other apple products (IMO) . Bose along with some other companies are good, bit i wouldn't buy them without thinking. But i think thats just common sense lol
Great timing on this one. I have the Bose Quiet Comfort 25 that I need to replace soon. I love the noise cancellation on that model and the fact you can just swap a AAA battery when the battery dies.
Hey Flossy, thank you so much for another great Bose video review!!! I’ve been a fan girl of theirs for years and have absolutely loved their sound quality and customer service. Whenever I’d call them to order something or get a replacement if something happened with one of their products I had, they’d always be so kind and helpful. And I especially love how if you need to get a replacement for a product, they’ll send you a new one free of charge. As somebody who’s totally blind, the voice prompts are extremely beneficial for me, especially the ones about how much battery is left since I can’t see the light indicating when the battery is running low. If I had one improvement to mention about the voice prompts, it’d be for them to replace the robotic voice they’ve used for years with one that sounds like a person.
I just got the Bose QC Ultra and they sound so damn good. They sound so clean and have great instrument separation. They sound better than the Sennheiser momentum 4. The ANC is also stronger on the Bose QC Ultra compared to the Sony 1000xm5 and Sennheiser momentum 4. Finally a pair of Bose headphones that are worth the price.
Minew piss me off..music is fine but voice calls are so low even on max volume,idk why. I also turn off the noise canceling and it still turns off and on when loud noises occur...so annoying

I think these are worth upgrading from the QC35ii. I had my 35s since 2018. The punchier bass and immersion feature was worth it for me 🙌🏽 paid $383 at target with redcard.

NuraTrue was purchased by Denon. I have a pair of the pearl pros and they are outstanding. A little large for me ,though, since I have small ears. 27:02
I was skeptical of purchasing the Bose ultra earbuds because I have purchase Bose products before and I wasn’t blown away with the bass but the noise canceling was excellent tho. I decide to try them out and I do not regret it one bit. The sound quality is better and they are very comfortable to wear. 300 is too expensive for a pair of earbuds and I recommend getting them when they are on sale.

i highy recommend the low end theory for test music, whol album is heavy bass, bass guitar, chellos, and booming 808's. great album to test headphones especially for hiphop

I recently purchased Quitecomfort Ultra head phones. I have tried Sony MX 5, AirPod max, and Bose. I loved the sound quality of Bose more. And the comfort on your head while you’re wearing it it was super light and comfortable. I ordered the sandstone colour 2 weeks waiting time :)).

I got the Beoplay H95 cheaply on a crazy deal...Never looked back. (I somehow got the Momentum 4 at the same time.......supposed to be a test....and neither went back.....and they will have to get them from my cold, dead hands!) The H95 produce something that has to be heard to be understood. To my ears, they are the closest to wired headphones I have ever heard. I spent about an hour with the Bathys, and all I can feel right now is that I want to own a pair. That's it. That's the comment - I want to own a pair...right now! I cannot explain what they do. I did not believe that anything could pullmmore form a bluetpoth signa;l than the H95 but it seems the Bathys can pull out just that little bit more in some tracks. I genuinely cannot tell any9one what they do. I can't describe it. But when you hear it - I hear MORE of the music than I do on the H95. I hear much more of the music through the H95 than with any other headphone other than the Bathys. Bathys ANC is much better than the H95 as well. THe Momentum 4 provide the best all plastic headphone sound. They sound like having a stereo system on your head. They are expansive and put you in a room kof great sound. THe H95 show you more of that room though. Flossy - your video is so good - you got me re-reviewing headphone s in the comments haha. You already sis it - people just need to see your reviews - you say all this and having listened to the headphones in real life - your video absolutely described my experience to the T with the H95 and the Momentum AND the Bathys. I heard the Px8, and I liked them less than the H95. They were good and sounded above the ordinary but were not comfortable at all. I love your picks. I am eager to try the Ultras. The thing for me is going to be the comfort. Do they bring that QC comfort they are known for, and no one has ever really matched. Do they do that for big old heads like mine? I agree that the H95 sounds good. However, I felt after a while that they were uncomfortable, and the lack of BT 5.3 and limited volume and app functionality sucked and returned them. The PX8 I also tried and returned. The sound wasn't as good, but the volume was louder, and again, their app sucked. I haven't tried the Bathys or these, but I have read these Bose lack LDAC and Dolby Atmos.
@@shanew7361 I cannot argue about the H95. I have not used them for very long periods of critical listening but have worn them to bed on several occasions. Sometimes I have removed them in the night and sometimes not. I find the clamping force quite strong and it is notable that they don't swivel a full 180 degrees. I do NOT find that the comfort gives me pause but as I said I have not worn them for long critical listening sessions. The Px8 I found immediately uncomfortable. I might have a problem with Bowers and Wilkins as I have found the Px7, Px7S and everything after that to be uncomfortable also. I am not the only one so I feel confident to say they are not the most comfortable. When I tried the Bathys, they were bet comfortable for listening at home but on the go, they would concern me as they are big headphones. Also they are not very low profile. The H95 can slip by without drawing much attention even though they are incredibly well made with premium materials. The Bathys scream that they are expensive so I wonder how good it is to wear them to commute. On a plane - of course is fine - but on the train and or bus? Comfy but with my already BIG head - I wonder if I woudon't be drawing additional attention to myself that I wkouldn't want haha. I would like to know what you think about the Bathys when you get the chance. I actually think you hit on something more important than many give it credit for. Even if a set of headphones provide the best sound quality ever, if they are not convenient and comfortable they will just not be used. The original apple airpodswere notoriously bad with sound quality especially when compared to others on the market but people used them for everything specifically because they were convenient. Additionally, when you are walking along the road or in a busy environment you are battling noise anyway so people just go with it. Better sounding headphones are better sounding primarily in a quiet environment. In a noisy one - headphones begin to provide a much more common experience. The benefits of the better and more high fidelity headphones is diminished. Airpods were winning. BEats capitalised on the same thing with the added cashe of being worn by celebs and who doesn't want that....even though everyone knew the sound was sub par. They were badly made, of cheap materials, wildly overpriced,not durable in the slightest, broke at the first opportunity and had a completely overblown bass but were convenient and easy to use. Comfort - just as you describe is a bigger part of the buying decision that some reviewers give it credit for. If after an hour - you notice pain and want totake them off - it will be longer before you put them back on and you might tolerate worse sound quality in order to at least hear the music.
I mean if theyre using great drivers, are tuned and sound good, and are made from good quality materials, I would disagree. For example, Focal Bathys is worth $500-$600 forsure. These Bose though? No reason they cost tht much, they're solid but theyre capitalizing on name brand recognition forsure
The earbuds last go around let me down vs the Sony WF5. They weren't quite as comfortable as the Bose due to silicone ear tips , but they sounded so much nicer. Not sure I'll be giving them my money again on the earbuds front for another generation or two
So which ones are uncomfortable to you ? I have both the Bose QCii and the Sony XM5 buds - I thought the Sony was more comfortable myself. But I do wish either one was a more “discreet” in your ear. My work doesn’t allow them so I have to wear a beanie and both of these show big time. My AirPod Pro 2 don’t show anyone near as much. But the Sony sound is way better
@@thetattooedguy1413 the Sony earbuds have a better sound profile to me, but silicone ear tips feel more comfortable in my ears, so the Bose I could wear longer, but the Sonys just sounded nicer in my opinion
@@FlossyCarter thanks, I actually have some currently and may try them again, I couldn't get a good seal with them like I could the Sony OEM eartips. I am more experienced at getting them in "just right" now though vs when I bought the earbuds on release
its crazy to think that maybe just maybe apple charging that insane price ain't so bad considering their rivals are starting to increase their, but they're deffo still too expensive for what they offer compared to the bose or sony's

It sounds like the features on the Quiet Ultra (like immersive audio) would be better appreciated when you're watching media as opposed to music. Only difference is with Air pods max, if you don't have any apple products you wont experience it right. Bose version is more natural upfront.
Great video I got the ultras Sunday. Any idea why they drop out occasionally. Fully charged and paired. But I like them. The only way to get them to play is put back in the case and then put back on. Thanks David
Just a heads up. I know that one of your gripes on the QC Comfort Earbuds were no multi-point connection. As of today, the Bose QC Ultra Earbuds have multipoint. And I'm loving it.

I just picked up the QC45s for $130 and love them so far coming from the 1more Sonoflows. Only thing I really cared about was that God tier noise cancellation so I don't think I'll upgrade at this point but its good to know that its not a HUGE difference in the sound. Still thinking about getting the Ultra earbuds tho.
its more important to have balanced system that doesnt have 'bottleneck' on any part of the chain but just grab good dac and iem first, listen to them until youre very used to the sound
Long time viewer and first time commenting. I've been rocking the B&O EX for half a year based on Floss and some other reviews but I recently went with airpods pro 2 I got a really good deal on and I use android. The sound quality and look etc with the EX was so good but for my commute and everyday the ANC, transparency, and size were a bit inconvenient. I usually hate on apple but to put what they did into such a small package is damn good. The sound quality isn't bad and sacrificing the EX sound for something that beats it out of the park in every other scenario has been worth it. I've been waiting for this review. Love your stuff.
King Floss! I'm revisiting this video. I picked up the Sony xm5 headphones and I'm not that impressed with the noise cancellation as I am with their earbuds. The earbuds are the absolute best I've had for cancelling noise. I'm going to pick up the Airpods Max and see if I like them better. If not, I'll return them and pick up the B&O H95 for build and sound and just use the Sony buds when I want to tune out all the noise. BTW I also picked up the Bose QC ultra headphones and they are darn good, especially when I'm home.
This is a good review I have a tough decision currently on my Gen 1 QC earbuds. I heard some buzz about the Denon Perl Pro's hoping it gets covered by the best reviewer 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Thanks for the review but bear in mind that not every one has the same acoustics as you have. For me my top brands is Bose, Bang & Olufsen and Bowers and Wlikens. Some people like bassy headsets and some people prefer balanced sounds🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

I think these are worth upgrading from the QC35ii. I had my 35s since 2018. The punchier bass and immersion feature was worth it for me 🙌🏽 paid $383 at target with redcard.

NuraTrue was purchased by Denon. I have a pair of the pearl pros and they are outstanding. A little large for me ,though, since I have small ears. 27:02

I was skeptical of purchasing the Bose ultra earbuds because I have purchase Bose products before and I wasn’t blown away with the bass but the noise canceling was excellent tho. I decide to try them out and I do not regret it one bit. The sound quality is better and they are very comfortable to wear. 300 is too expensive for a pair of earbuds and I recommend getting them when they are on sale.

i highy recommend the low end theory for test music, whol album is heavy bass, bass guitar, chellos, and booming 808's. great album to test headphones especially for hiphop

I recently purchased Quitecomfort Ultra head phones. I have tried Sony MX 5, AirPod max, and Bose.
I loved the sound quality of Bose more. And the comfort on your head while you’re wearing it it was super light and comfortable. I ordered the sandstone colour 2 weeks waiting time :)).

I got the Beoplay H95 cheaply on a crazy deal...Never looked back.
(I somehow got the Momentum 4 at the same time.......supposed to be a test....and neither went back.....and they will have to get them from my cold, dead hands!)
The H95 produce something that has to be heard to be understood. To my ears, they are the closest to wired headphones I have ever heard.
I spent about an hour with the Bathys, and all I can feel right now is that I want to own a pair. That's it. That's the comment - I want to own a pair...right now!
I cannot explain what they do.
I did not believe that anything could pullmmore form a bluetpoth signa;l than the H95 but it seems the Bathys can pull out just that little bit more in some tracks.
I genuinely cannot tell any9one what they do. I can't describe it. But when you hear it - I hear MORE of the music than I do on the H95.
I hear much more of the music through the H95 than with any other headphone other than the Bathys.
Bathys ANC is much better than the H95 as well.
THe Momentum 4 provide the best all plastic headphone sound. They sound like having a stereo system on your head. They are expansive and put you in a room kof great sound.
THe H95 show you more of that room though.

You already sis it - people just need to see your reviews - you say all this and having listened to the headphones in real life - your video absolutely described my experience to the T with the H95 and the Momentum AND the Bathys.
I heard the Px8, and I liked them less than the H95. They were good and sounded above the ordinary but were not comfortable at all.

The thing for me is going to be the comfort.

I agree that the H95 sounds good. However, I felt after a while that they were uncomfortable, and the lack of BT 5.3 and limited volume and app functionality sucked and returned them. The PX8 I also tried and returned. The sound wasn't as good, but the volume was louder, and again, their app sucked.
I haven't tried the Bathys or these, but I have read these Bose lack LDAC and Dolby Atmos.
@@shanew7361 I cannot argue about the H95. I have not used them for very long periods of critical listening but have worn them to bed on several occasions. Sometimes I have removed them in the night and sometimes not. I find the clamping force quite strong and it is notable that they don't swivel a full 180 degrees. I do NOT find that the comfort gives me pause but as I said I have not worn them for long critical listening sessions. The Px8 I found immediately uncomfortable. I might have a problem with Bowers and Wilkins as I have found the Px7, Px7S and everything after that to be uncomfortable also. I am not the only one so I feel confident to say they are not the most comfortable. When I tried the Bathys, they were bet comfortable for listening at home but on the go, they would concern me as they are big headphones. Also they are not very low profile. The H95 can slip by without drawing much attention even though they are incredibly well made with premium materials. The Bathys scream that they are expensive so I wonder how good it is to wear them to commute. On a plane - of course is fine - but on the train and or bus? Comfy but with my already BIG head - I wonder if I woudon't be drawing additional attention to myself that I wkouldn't want haha.

I actually think you hit on something more important than many give it credit for. Even if a set of headphones provide the best sound quality ever, if they are not convenient and comfortable they will just not be used.
The original apple airpodswere notoriously bad with sound quality especially when compared to others on the market but people used them for everything specifically because they were convenient. Additionally, when you are walking along the road or in a busy environment you are battling noise anyway so people just go with it. Better sounding headphones are better sounding primarily in a quiet environment. In a noisy one - headphones begin to provide a much more common experience. The benefits of the better and more high fidelity headphones is diminished. Airpods were winning. BEats capitalised on the same thing with the added cashe of being worn by celebs and who doesn't want that....even though everyone knew the sound was sub par. They were badly made, of cheap materials, wildly overpriced,not durable in the slightest, broke at the first opportunity and had a completely overblown bass but were convenient and easy to use.
Comfort - just as you describe is a bigger part of the buying decision that some reviewers give it credit for. If after an hour - you notice pain and want totake them off - it will be longer before you put them back on and you might tolerate worse sound quality in order to at least hear the music.

I mean if theyre using great drivers, are tuned and sound good, and are made from good quality materials, I would disagree. For example, Focal Bathys is worth $500-$600 forsure.

The earbuds last go around let me down vs the Sony WF5. They weren't quite as comfortable as the Bose due to silicone ear tips , but they sounded so much nicer. Not sure I'll be giving them my money again on the earbuds front for another generation or two
So which ones are uncomfortable to you ? I have both the Bose QCii and the Sony XM5 buds - I thought the Sony was more comfortable myself. But I do wish either one was a more “discreet” in your ear. My work doesn’t allow them so I have to wear a beanie and both of these show big time. My AirPod Pro 2 don’t show anyone near as much. But the Sony sound is way better
@@thetattooedguy1413 the Sony earbuds have a better sound profile to me, but silicone ear tips feel more comfortable in my ears, so the Bose I could wear longer, but the Sonys just sounded nicer in my opinion

@@FlossyCarter thanks, I actually have some currently and may try them again, I couldn't get a good seal with them like I could the Sony OEM eartips. I am more experienced at getting them in "just right" now though vs when I bought the earbuds on release

It sounds like the features on the Quiet Ultra (like immersive audio) would be better appreciated when you're watching media as opposed to music. Only difference is with Air pods max, if you don't have any apple products you wont experience it right. Bose version is more natural upfront.
Great video I got the ultras Sunday. Any idea why they drop out occasionally. Fully charged and paired. But I like them. The only way to get them to play is put back in the case and then put back on.

Just a heads up. I know that one of your gripes on the QC Comfort Earbuds were no multi-point connection. As of today, the Bose QC Ultra Earbuds have multipoint. And I'm loving it.

I just picked up the QC45s for $130 and love them so far coming from the 1more Sonoflows. Only thing I really cared about was that God tier noise cancellation so I don't think I'll upgrade at this point but its good to know that its not a HUGE difference in the sound. Still thinking about getting the Ultra earbuds tho.
its more important to have balanced system that doesnt have 'bottleneck' on any part of the chain
but just grab good dac and iem first, listen to them until youre very used to the sound
Long time viewer and first time commenting. I've been rocking the B&O EX for half a year based on Floss and some other reviews but I recently went with airpods pro 2 I got a really good deal on and I use android. The sound quality and look etc with the EX was so good but for my commute and everyday the ANC, transparency, and size were a bit inconvenient. I usually hate on apple but to put what they did into such a small package is damn good. The sound quality isn't bad and sacrificing the EX sound for something that beats it out of the park in every other scenario has been worth it.

King Floss! I'm revisiting this video. I picked up the Sony xm5 headphones and I'm not that impressed with the noise cancellation as I am with their earbuds. The earbuds are the absolute best I've had for cancelling noise. I'm going to pick up the Airpods Max and see if I like them better. If not, I'll return them and pick up the B&O H95 for build and sound and just use the Sony buds when I want to tune out all the noise. BTW I also picked up the Bose QC ultra headphones and they are darn good, especially when I'm home.

Thanks for the review but bear in mind that not every one has the same acoustics as you have. For me my top brands is Bose, Bang & Olufsen and Bowers and Wlikens. Some people like bassy headsets and some people prefer balanced sounds🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
