How I think they should do it: *No stamina- play as much as you want to go up in rank (influences matchmaking) *Have friendly races- play with friends (unranked) and simply fill the lobby with bots *Have challenge races- more points wins *Season rank reset- Receive more rubies, coins, and even karts, vehicles, chutes for obtaining higher ranks
I gave my feedback, we need customization on multiplayer. Set how much items a person can hold at once, be able to make a room for your friends, give people bonuses for playing Multiplayer.
The thing is they started on the wrong foot with the pay-to-win format. Remember this, Nintendo has never been a non-for-profit business, and they will want to monetize their intellectual property. Also, imagine the backlash if they tell the people who have spent $100s already that they cannot use what they have purchased in online competitions - not going to happen. No chance. The only way MKT online can be ruined is if they use a one-size-fits-all approach. No matter what rules apply. So they will need to allow customization, where you can play for free with the same character, car, and glider meaning level playing field for everyone; and something where you can bring all your arsenal, so users feel enticed to keep spending money (this is their business model). And maybe the rewards will be aligned with these "levels". Again, Nintendo wants users to purchase the passport, and that would probably give you access to additional, more competitive, and more rewarding races or tournaments.

That actually scares me more than not getting coins and experience points in online racing and I'll be upset if they don't allow us to play against people that have the same experience as others instead of mixing players up with different levels.
Best outcome is if they do multiple types of online multiplayers, like 1) totally fair 2) pay to win 3) team based 4) everyone 3 itens 5) most coins win etc. This way everyone wins.

Here’s what I want: All online stuff will have it set so every character gets 1 item. This makes the game the most skill based possible. Also, it makes skill level boost and xp on characters useless. I want 3 different “modes”. The first is normal worldwides, it’s completely random matches based on a VR system similar to Mkwii’s VR. The next one is friend rooms, you can organize rooms with your own rulesets with people from your friend list. The next is some sort of tourney weekly kind of thing you were talking about. That would be really cool. All of these things would make online in Mariokart Tour very good imo
I really hope they dont use the singleplayer points system for multiplayer. Someone could get last place but top the scoreboard. Also its heavily reliant on ur setup if they choose to keep it that way. Only differenciate characters and setup by special skill and use position-based rating and this mode will be lit
It'll need to be a small choice of characters, 1 basic kart, 1 basic glider. Maybe a exclusive 3 level grind system, where same level players are matched together. I wouldn't pay for one, but I'd have no problem with players buying something like a 4th balloon for me to poop on.
I kinda just think Multiplayer is just gonna be a extra mode. a tier list, you can grab coins, unlimited, and stuff will be balanced, but no exp outside of player level since the base points won't matter.
On number 8, do you also want them to get rid of the lvls of drivers, karts, gliders? By doing that the multilayer is all based upon luck and skill. And you can also play with your favorite combination.
I think having the limit on coins is okay although it could be a bit higher. But I think there should not be a limit on how much exp you can get for your karts and characters because it takes away a lot of the fun in the game. If you agree please send this as feedback in the app, i already did it. Hopefully they'll change their mind.

Multiplayer should all be exactly the same. Common or high end characters should all have the same stats in getting frenzy’s or combos. You should have the choice to pick any character you want even if you don’t have it unlocked yourself. Each character should get 3 items no matter what and frenzy’s should be disabled for every character. Now that would make the game so fun. Make multiplayer separate than single player and just rename single player to career.
What Nintendo can do with online : Put a base point for the characters/karts/gliders to 400 for everyone and don’t change it and also put everyone on lv1 or 2 max, so it is fair games
Only problem with that is that some people are more p2w than others. So there would have to be a system that calculates how much each player spent and pair them up according to that to make it more fair.

Altho haveing like higher tier characters have higher imbalanced stats where as basics have more balanced stats so it can still be a good idea to pick them also. Also not telling you what chara, karts, n gliders would be beneficial for certain maps its entirety personal based that way you'd have so many variations too. And not tell you what chara,karts n gliders would be beneficial for each maps. Adding some way for possible upgrades nd maps unlocks while still makeing everything fair would be sick. Those points are great and all, but looking at how mario kart tour is now, they'll just try to monetize on multiplayer and ruin any hopes of game balance. It'll just be like Mystic heroes in Fire emblem heroes where those heroes themselves just flat out boost your score in Aether Raids for having them/ paying for them.
