Life_is_Harddd so it’s a game where I have to pay 20$ USD to play as Mario in MARIO Kart. Not to mention all cosmetics grant advantages, so basically pay to win. If you don’t buy stuff ur gonna progress slowly. Or to mention the game isn’t even FINISHED yet. Because they want money ASAP. So we’re paying for an unfinished game that doesn’t have multiplayer. A game in development for 10 on this. It’s subscription is more expensive than SWITCH ONLINE for one YEAR.
Kyle Joseph Mario isn’t locked behind a pay wall. I saw him in the daily shop a few weeks ago. And they didn’t release multiplayer because they are probably still preparing their servers to handle all the players
@@ethancharles2746 Come on man... If you have money and want to use it for this game, go ahead, it's optional. Just be considerate about it. It's really not that serious if you SAVE your coins and rubies like I did. It's not the end of the world when it comes to characters and items you get for each tour. They come back in later tours, even Pauline.
Manually drift with your thumbs and steer with the gyro. If you don't like gyro, then get use to tap steering. You can only really steer mid-air or while gliding in manual properly.
I lost count of how many times I accidentally threw an item. Whenever I'm flying with a glider and I swipe down in order to raise the glider, I let go of an item and throw it back hahah.
@@tommyvu8374 Haha, yes you can. Either swipe up or down to let it sink or to raise it. In some races you can slowly let the glider sink on to a dash panel and then raise it again for a boost.
@@tommyvu8374 Yes. It's explained in one of Lakitu's tips that shows up just before the Glider Challenge in Wario Cup, where you *need* to steer up and down in order to get 3 stars.
I never actually considered using my thumbs. Personally, I just use my right pointer finger for drifting instead. I'll try the other control set to see if it works better for me. Thanks, Abdallah.
I’ve been using gyro+manual drift since the release of the game. I find it very easy to slightly move with the gyro in a straight line and easy to drift.
Taylor Leigh you eventually get used to the speed and learn it automatically, the higher the speed is the harder it is to keep straight (200cc is the only one causing problems in some tracks)
I dislike manual drift. Thankfully, they have implemented a drift button, which works for automatic drift just fine, so I can manage those Ultra Mini Turbos just fine and stick to the control scheme which is pleasant to play. I've never learned to use that manual drift thing, but now, thankfully, it has become completely irrelevant.
Me too, I have been playing Mario kart for a year and a half but now I can't reach S1 or playing with friends because they beat me, they do mini turbos in straight line and I can't do that
if they made it compatible with a controller plug-in, that’d be cool, too, to give you the Switch feel. I’ve been using manual and smart steering, being that I go for speed and control. I’m at level 80 with a tier of 35.
I can’t get ahold of Manual Drift. Especially on really curvy tracks. Also, in my game, there’s a Steer button in the bottom middle of my screen. I don’t ever know when to use that.
Manual drift with manual drift seems to be the sweet spot for me. And dragging while tilting will and can drastically tighten or stretch your drift angle
Team Manual drift without gyro for me. I agree the tap steering is a bit annoying especially in 200cc. Try turning on a high ramp, it's crazy easy to mess up. At least I have control over my drifts.
Hey Abdallah I enjoy your content and want to help out your viewers. So if you use the regular steering the one with the arrow, while you are drifting if you put another finger on the screen, you can also stretch out a drift like u should us with the manual drifting. Hoped I helped some of you guys have a good one :)
Thank you SOOO MUCH !! you helped me to use the manual drift ! It takes a lot of practice but I’m finally learning and getting better scores ! THANK YOUUUUU keep up the good work
Thanks for this video! I couldn't really use manual drift because I couldn't get coins and crashed all the time or got off the road. I didn't know you could steer while drifting 10/10
Also I recommend if ur new use smart steering then use time trials (if it exists) without smart steering to explore off-road so you can see what the cuts are
the best thing is to drift behind an AI to get extra speed and then pop up the ultraturbo right after for longer speed boost. If you cant go full manual drift then activate move assist and practice in 100cc till you get the stuff , then deactivate move assist and keep only manual drifthing in any cc. Without move assist some invisible walls dissapears for you , so you can get slowed down by getting off the road or take other routes like in 6:57 with an ultraturbo or an item
While I agree that the best scheme is Manual + Gyro, you also need to keep your phone still and steady while playing. This is not my case since i move my hand a lot and unintentionally end up making turns while i just want to go straight. I guess only manual is the way to go for me, but sure it feels like a hard mode
I initially started with smart steering and gyro. I then turned off everything but gyro and did pretty well, but it's just practically impossible to obtain the types of turbo needed for a genuinely decent score in gyro, so I switched to manual drift controls. Definitely a learning curve and while I can get a decent score, I have the hardest time keeping myself from drifting from side to side and shooting my items when I didn't want to. I didn't think to actually keep my thumb moving from side to side, so I would always remove it to get myself back into a straight line and a lot of hopping. Time for some more experimenting with controls.
I'm so thankful. I watched so may Video's, but could understand how it works. Now where I could watch at your fingers, its easier to understand. And it works great 😁👍
I tried your techniques exactly how you did it onscreen, but every time I do Manuel drift, I end up 6th or last place, all the time. So it's either Steer mode, getting first place, or manuel Drift and getting last. I give up. I'm going to keep doing Steer. Manuel sucks.
I agree with you on everything as I play manual + gyro but I have to say that I recently tried puting on auto item and it helps rolling boxes faster for more chances of geting frenesies, that's valuable. Pros and cons I guess
I like using Manuel drift and as for control setup I like the tilt setup where instead of having the phone straight up and down you can have it sideways
Thanks for the video, only found this channel today but it's interesting to see the styles from others. I swapped to manual drift only immediately when I started, but hold my phone "normally" with the left hand and use my right index finger with the right thumb touching the last joint of it for drifting, since I felt like that gave me a lot more control. It's a neat game, but I wish they'd have a no items mode with no extra points from karts, gliders, and characters inclusive for the ranked mode, so that times could be compared. (Mario Kart 8 had this in online multiplayer - we're of course lacking this feature for now as well). The whole point system feels a bit weird, since you're not trying to be fast, you're trying to collect coins and hope for a frenzy if you're playing ranked mode or trying to get 5 stars, especially when you're lower level and don't have a kart with "bonus points x2". ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Love you vids dude keep up the good work . I just wanted to comment and say that is it possible to be ranked 1st and still keep auto item on, smart steering on, and manual drift off. I have done it every week so far. This video did inspired me to try out new combination though so thanks for that. Cheers mate.
I feel kinda weirded out with both control schemes, but more with the Manual. What I mean is that both seem incomplete: Auto Drift allows you to determine whether it will be a slight turn or a drift, but in some case (cars) that's really not true, sometimes you've gotta turn too much just to make a simple drift, and I've already lost so many combo multipliers because some cars take too much time to make a drift, while other's get too much drift and stray you from the coins easily (let's not forgetthat it also doesn't allow Ultraminiturbo, or, in other words, it doesn't have the same combo potential as it's counterpart). The Manua Drift, on the other hand, allows you have more control on drifting and to get more combos, but you lose control on the slight turns. It just feels weird for me that you can't gently scroll for the right/left just to have a little turn without jumping sideways and doing a drift on a straight path. You either stay still to move straight, or radically turn for a difte. Summing it up, none of them grant you true freedom over the movement.
Manual drift with auto-item. I like to get new items and my dropped items more often block a shell from behind, or take out a character. There is the chance I can get hit when the new items are coming in but overall I have found it more helpful.
Thanks this helps I am on team manual drift without gyro and with auto items on Also I think it would be kind of funny if you said to abdallahsmash that like button lol
