It’s funny, I just bought a 256GB iPhone X for a little under €1100 ($1350) about a month ago. And even though I’m primarily an iPhone guy that uses an Android as a secondary handset, I’m WAY more excited to get my hands on this little budget phone than I was for my iPhone.
I’ve been a fan of Xiaomi for quite some time. I really like their higher end phones, and talked more than a few of my friends into buying either the A1 or the Mi5X, simply because that was the best all round phone you could buy for under €200. One that still offered a nice look, good screen, impressive build quality and enough power for pretty much everyone but the power users.
But this thing blows that out of the water. Great updated design, faster SoC, nice set of features and a price that made me preorder one, even if I don’t need it. I already have an Essential Phone on the way that I plan on using as my work phone.
Yet I still ordered one of these. Can’t wait to get it, play with it, and then probably make my mom happy with a smartphone that is way more than she needs for her use case, but is still pretty fun to mess around with.
Great job once again, Xiaomi.
Bought in 2018 still using now work well no any problem of hardware and software no other issues or repair/replace I don't use mobile for gaming I don't do any custom modification or overclock I keep it as it is, what I miss is stock android which when I have moto G2

Sir, actually I think that your camera opinion was wrong because I think that the camera performance of Redmi Note 5 Pro was one of the best in 15k, it could be the problem of your unit or something like that. Please review the camera again with another fresh and stable unit.

IT is clear that Mi a1's pictures are better looking than note 5 pro but note 5 pro captures more details.
for portraits miA1 is clear winner.

C4etech also reviewed and proved MiA1 is far better in portrait shots and pictures.... note 5 pro is better in video capturing but only due to video stabilisation. Color production even in the video capturing is attractive in MiA1
In miui stable update the camera performance is already better than mi a1 and future's update it gets even more better

Wait for the Moto. Although with Lenovo as their parent Moto have stopped surprising anymore. But if os updates and cameras matter to you, moto will be a better phone.
don't wait for moto g6+. it will have sd630 which is very less powerful than sd636 on rn5pro and it will have less battery somewhat 3000mah only 😐. go for rn5pro

Sir I recently went to the MI meet and tried out this phone myself personally... It was on the stable mode of MIUI 9... and it was quite impressive as I spent available time on the phone... Sir the review that you are giving is based on the nightly update and not the stable update... Hence I am not satisfied with your review

Buying or not buying and selection of product is your own decision... But my price bracket is 15k-20k and yes there is some negatives about this device but the positives outweigh it.... So if I have a chance I would go for it and I won't regret... But I do not know about you

would buy it for my wife since she uses the camera a lot and she has always been used to midrange specs. she is just as happy with her redmi note 4, as i am too with my note 4 pro. i wish xiaomi would produce compact/mini versions for guys like me... who rarely use a camera - and usually prefer using a device in one hand. 4.7" was a really sweet spot for flagships back then... and i hope it'll make a comeback once more.

Always go for the top variant......There is a big difference between read and write speed in the varients which matters in long term. ...Check iphone and others cases...I know for a middle class boy 3k matters but u will use the phone for 3-4 years...So decide what's better for you..

Yes you can find the note 5 pro in mi offline stores present in various cities of India but it'll cost you a bit higher than online

big names like Samsung and Motorola does not support rooting but brands like one plus and xiaomi does support rooting and provides warranty even to a rooted phone.
Ye, you still have the warranty but if something goes wrong, you need to flash the stock rom before going to the service center.
