Welcome and thank you for the comment :)
The mushroomguru who taught me alot said the yellow and brown spots are maggot/worm poo. Idk what to think about that because i found a lot of those spots in my mushrooms but they where almost always hole free thus maggot free
Yes, my experience is similar. However, a few times I saw some other insect similar to centipede and the mushroom was often yellow around parts impacted by it. However, I don't have enough of observation to have any conclusion here.
i always get a bit of a kick when i see fly agarics.. usually means ceps too :)
True :)
I am sooo jealous that you found those gorgeous Fly Agaric!! I have yet to find one (Ontario, Canada). I’ve found lots of yellow Amanita Muscaria but never the red ones.
Glad you like it. For me, it's very unusual to see yellow ones :)
Hi Luke! Great video. I'm just wondering if you cover the offcuts with the leaf litter after checking the mushrooms or just leave them in situ?
Thank you. Usually I put them at one place and cover with some leafs or soil.
Great finds. And I think that the yellowing in the king bolete might be a sign of the bolete eater fungi. I don't know if that can be found where you are though. But where I am in Norway it has attacked a lot of king boletes, so it can be difficult to find healthy ones.
Thank you for the comment and sharing your experience!
Actually its just discolored from decaying rotting wood underground :) no worries
beautiful mushroom but deadly poisonous.🍄🍄🍄
is there matsutake growing in your place?
Probably not but there are similar mushrooms which are very rare and can be found only at some special places.
Where i could pick mushrooms in Manchester? Any good location?
Sorry but I don't know the area around Manchester.
