MotorBeam my rtr 200 only reaches 122km/hr as top speed , after no movement in the Speedoo and mine is brand new ..! what do i do to reach 130km/Hr ..?
guys go for apache bcz I am Apache 200 owner too and used up to 5k+ KM's and I do not have any issues with the mileage.this motor beam reviews can be wrong some times ! they ride their bikes in dirt and says the chain gets dry quicker these test done on these bikes are very hard so that they will fail the tests, shifting gears in higher rpm's will lead to damage to engine components. Note that no need to shift gears in higher rpm's. and plz don't forget that these machines are also built to face bad indian roads not for Daytona roads so always be ready to accept some noises from every motorcycle !
Shivam Kale Even the 0 to 100 timing. test started at 3.21 and bike was 106kmph at 3.33. Speedo error can't be so huge. I don't know how they got the 13 second figure. Apache 200 has good mileage 35+. I'm not sure how they got this mileage. probably engine oil and air filter are unchanged for a long time on this bike
Price diff of Fz25 & RTR 200 is 30K for which The performance is Comaprable Fz25 feels like a Bigger bike offers Fi but offers no Abs/basic console I would save 30k Cash and get some Riding Gears instead #RtrFanboy
Balaji Chandrasekaran . Agree with u in price point .. but performance ?? And refinement ?? Nothing can equal to Yamaha don't compare this with Yamaha .... 😎
Refinement is great in both , but ofc Yamaha us better , performance wise both are similar 135kmph top speed , similar acceleration nd no vibes except in very high end for both
The 2 flaws that caught my attention in this review are vibration and mileage. So talking about vibration, no way... I rode mine quite harshly after first 1000 km.. Even my. 0-60 is in 3.5 seconds... Still i never faced any vibrations even on higher speeds(110-130), there are some vibrations but they are acceptable. And talking about mileage... I can easily get around 35-40 on riding softly. P. S. i am not saying that this review is wrong or anything like that but that's just my user experience.
(FOR CITY YOU CAN GET AROUND 27-32 THAT MAY VARY BASED ON THE TRAFFIC AND OTHER CONDITIONS for explanation you can read further if u want to 😅) The general milega is around 30-40 kmpl. But there are various factors like riding conditions, the way you ride just like MotorBeam said in this review that they got the mileage of 27-35 on harsh riding conditions.... We can't tell the exact mileage cuz everone has a different riding style( for instance some people ride on higher revs and low gears for quick power and some ride on higher gears with low revving).
sAm sAeed I only feel a little bit if vibes in 1st and 2nd gears. hitting 4k + rpm. I think that is a one off issue and would be checking the same in my next service. I also wasn't a firm believer of engine brake-in period and revved a bit before 500 kms. I have varied mileage from 38 going down to 25 kmpl. with first service interval between them. would keep my presence during second service as I believe service centre is not doing proper work.
Prathamesh sawant Yup! I faced the same issue of mileage drop after my first service and it resolved eventually. Well riding softly under first 500 km is advised as the engine is new obviously But revving a bit and going to the speeds of below 80 doesn't make a difference. It's all about how ride. And far as service is concerned, in some of the service center, the workers aren't familiar with this bike, but it isn't the case with all of them, but there are quite a few in my area. So make sure that you are present during the service.
i have this bike, bought it in october, i can assure there are no vibrations issues, and the engine is smooth as you like, pretty satisfied with my bike.
prathamesh sawant go for motul 7100 10w40 it's the best oil out there and do it after the free services. It doesn't make sense to go before the free services. Usually we need to ride the bike for about 5000 kms before changing the oil to fully synthetic but it's not a hard rule.
Hey Motobeam Team . I own a RTR 200 black and I get mileage figures of 38-40 within City limits . why do you mention a very low Mileage figures........???

Very true. When ever I spot an Apache the place where my eyes goes first is the Exhaust. It looks like a rugged beefy advance twin barrel shotgun front. So minimalist yet looks soo much mechanical. Kudos TVS.
I had the same issue with the one i rode, quite viby above 6000rpm, It wasnt abused and my friend did proper break in for 1600KM but below 6000rpm seems pretty smooth to me.

only if it had a 16ltr tank like it's predecessor , and it should have been a bit long for tall riders and the mileage should have been at least nearby 40km/pl
Bro i am getting 40kmpl per litre in mixed driving conditions. And quality of bike is good. Value for money. Little tall for riders below 5.6 feet. Overall good bike but only issue is frequent gear shifts(if u r not an enthusiastic rider) or less torquey engine(have to ride in low gears/higher rpm else engine knocks).
hello motorbeam . I have one question ..? is this bike worthy for long continues rides ... if we go for a long is there will be any engine problem.. many saying NS200 will go for long without any engine heat but rtr 200 won't ... is that true.??? what is ur opinion for this ..??? plz say...
Honestly, i was thinking of asking for a video at pointing out highs and lows of RTR 200, FZ 25. And here you are with apache's video. Thanks motorbeam. Also, could you please do the same for FZ 25.
Faisal buddy you forgot to mention the chain issue The chain dries up very fast ever 200 to 300 kms and becomes loose too Chain tightening and lubrication is a constant cycle
Top speed recorder will in turn motivate the riders to rode faster on roads, thereby breaking the traffic rules, endangering the lives of others and themselves... Please do not glamorize that feature
We are not glamorising the feature. In fact TVS does it. Also no one buys a 200cc bike to ride at more than 80 km/hr all the time any ways. We agree on the point on safe riding
use sense rather than crying these guys are just telling what the bike has and without telling too showroom guys will tell any way and also who rides a 200cc bike slow 😈
you guys are riding a test production bike. 90% points are wrong but the chain drying up is an issue! you guys are trying to demote tvs at your level best, but guess what they don't gaf!
MotoTune TM All these issues are in Motorbeam's head. They need to see a doctor. Hard seats really? lol Bad brakes? Wow. All 200cc bikes have abs according to Motorbeam. Rtr200 is the only one that does not have abs. Engine vibs post 6.5k rpm? Amazing. Did not feel any even at 8.5k rpm. Dry chain? Lube your chain. Rusting? No comments.
deepak yadav the seat is crap buddy, drive other bikes before you give your opinion and the quality of the seat doesn't matter for a 20-30km ride, drive above 80km and you'll see
The seat looks much comfortable but actually it's not. I get sore bums post 80-90 kms. And then it becomes really pain in ass to ride it. Maybe something to do with rear monoshock setting. Not sure.
Now that is a genuine review of a machine that's been praised to the roof all the time.. Nice to see the mention of a list of cons on the bike.. Vibes above 6500, rusts of parts, fastly wearing out Pirelli Angel GTs.. Good job MB.. As usual.. Cheers..
Hi Faisal Bhai, I am confused between it's two variant race edition 2.0 FI and ABS. Which one should I buy ? I am 5feeet 11inches tall will 200 4v race edition will be comfortable for me ?
Sandeep Bamaniya there wont be major vibrations it is just a buzz at foot pegs which isnt that bad to make ur limbs numb. engine heating is something you will never face. it will happen only if u keep riding it for 130kpmh for more than half an hour. still that too isnt that hot to male your legs fry.
MotorBeam I think the bike u tested was abused one. I didn't felt vibration on handle bar even after 120kmph and many owners will agree with me. Please don't generalize conclusion with just one test
TVS launched abs and FI variant last year and still no sales have started yet. Should be seen as the strategy to get marketed based on auto reviews for the abs Fi variant with its price range and sell the carb variant in the showroom. Disappointing from TVS as this looked really promising when it launched. Also I don't agree with service quality at TVS showrooms. They are not trained for customer reception.
TVS Apache 200 4V was announced in Jan,2016. TVS announced multiple choices based on tyres, FI/Carb, ABS/Non-ABS and colors. Only in May2016 a few 200s were released to the market. Only in Nov17 FI was launched. Even as on 14-Dec-2017, not all colors are available. I came to know from a reliable insider that TVS don't want to release ABS as price of Indian and Indonesian will be compared leading to slump in sales in other countries. TVS claims of high demand in overseas market is false. But why TVS is not announcing that 200 ABS will never be launched in India? I have waited hoping for the ABS due to extra safety that comes with it. But unfortunately the Manufacturer never educate and promote safety to Indian customers. They take the easy way out selling cheap bikes.
nice video MB..Am too using for one year from now but i havent felt any vibrations from this bike the NVH levels are very low in comparison to other 200 cc bikes..its a great bike from tvs yet.
i am confused between rtr 200 nd fzs fi 150 v2.0 .. which is comfortable in city traffic and pillion seat with my height is 6"2. for next 4 to 5 years .. or suggest any other better option in this price range
Abhishek Singh 200 NS will give you 35 kmpl in the city and 43-44 kmpl on the highways (cruising in 6th gear). Better economy and performance than Apache.
I am planning of purchasing a bike. Should I prefer RTR 160 or Pulsar 160NS or Suzuki Gixxer 160, where i would love to have an excellent mileage along with balanced amount of speed and torque, and a well refined engine. Or should i go for a RTR 200 4V or NS200 bike giving some extra penny.? My concern would be better mileage and better performance.
I am owning apache rtr 160 4v. I am facing instability of remora tyre. It didn't give confidence on cornering. So I decide to change the both tyre. Please suggest me a good set of tyre. I needed tyre with superb grip and better cornering ability and I like to increase the size from 130/70 to 140/70
I am waiting for the same ! I feel this bike is more practical in terms of long usage, comparing maintenance cost, reliability, economy, looks, etc. it's jst scores a point above the competition for me. but I am really waiting for an indepth long term review for all three bikes mentioned (rtr top end). it would help many people. hope theese guys do it soon
rahul raparti we generally knw for sure that yahama maitainence will cost you way more then both ns and rtr. better comparison will be for ns and rtr200. if they can really test the milage too for these bikes it's even better. I observe theese people generally are a bit more favorable for pulsars. so we do need to keep that in mind
Hi... Can you help me? I am stuck among the Apache 200 4v, 160 4v and Fz 25....I am a college student and its gonna be my first bike, I have this 3 option, among these I want the bike which will be less costly in maintenance, braking is comparatively safe and very reliable bike.....Which one would be great? (Price doesn't matter)
Is this bike good for hilly areas?? I am from sikkim so i will need good power. Duke is too much power... i want a little less powerful bike... plz suggest me.
Hey motorbeam... Will the rtr 200 fi abs with pirelli overcome these issues? ???lyk any ideas about it??? And would it be better than fz 25 if this variant is launched....??
To all those who are fiercely supporting TVS, just give one good reason why should one buy a Apache200 over NS200 when NS200 is: 1. Much faster, both outright & in-gear (important for a 200cc) 2. Better economy 3. Better or equal handling (with perimeter frame and now zapper's) 4. Better looks (subjective). Now pls don't tell Apache is more reliable , it's not. PS: I'm asking this because I am looking for a 200cc+ bike.
manu raj Pulsar200 Bs4 is more refined than Apache200 as per reviewers! And in pickup, top speed and in-gear acceleration pulsar200 destroyes Apache200. Yes, fit & finish of Apache is better but not durability!!
Thank you guys, for the quick response. There are no credible and informative review on the SF FI on TH-cam and your reviews are awesome. Fingers crossed for one soon ...
Hello motorbeam...I have a serios doubt in rtr 200 2016 model weather its bs3 or bs4? I went to showroom too see bs4 model and there is absolutely no difference between the bs4 model & my bike the 2 things difference was the bs4 sticker & AHO function..Could u please clear my doubt?
Guys believe me this bike is awesome, Yesterday I got into an accident thanx to God & my safety gears for saving me with miner scratches, and the bike is 90% ok only problems happened to my bike is the bend on the crash guard & the thing at the end of the handle bar & clamp holding rider foot step with gear knob, broken. After that I ride my Apache 200 to the service center in second gear for almost 18km , what am saying is it may look more plastic on outside but believe me it won't broke apart, even my indicators are saved too without any scratch😂
Really the beast 200 is nice... Before 2 days I rode my bike nearly 400 kms in tat 350 rode by me itself , with a speed of above hundred nd I don't find any vibrations and the chain lub had not dried nd the main thing I Ve realised is tat I felt very very comfortable in riding my bike I don't found any body pain aft the trip....!!! It is a quiet comfortable bike which i ever rode there may be a bike more comfortable than Apache bt in 200 segment it's the best..... I got a mileage of 40 kmpl wid a rev of above 6000 rpm and above 80-100.... Apache 200 is a good opponent for pulsar 220 and AS 200.....
I'm from Chennai. None of the showroom clears my doubt properly. Apache RTR 200 comes with TVS Remora or Pirelli option. My doubt is that does the size of RIM differs or same RIM for both the tires? Some showroom guys say Pirelli tires are wider so u can't fit it in normal RIM while some showroom people say that same RIM for both the tires. Confused a lot.
are the issues mentioned here like squeaking sound from tank etc addressed by tvs? the grunt of apache sounds similar to rs200 in video. is it so? and seats are softer as i read somewhere. are they not compared to rs200?
i want to buy a new naked bike. & i m confused between duke 200 - pulsar 200ns - apache rtr 200 4v i wnt the bike which gives good mileage , lower mentenence & good road presence pls suggest me the best 1
MotorBeam Well it's not my channel and I don't get paid for the content you create. You get paid. You have to take the channel to the next level. So I suggested you upgrade your camera. Now it's your problem you are making a banter of it.
The dealers still have no idea as to when the ABS and FI options are going to be made available. I need to buy a new ride and I'm a little confused bw this and the new NS200. However, will probably go for the RTR. Just one question though....should I go for the Pirelli option or not? How significant is the cost of replacement?
I own an apache 200 rtr You can get the parts of pulsar in any local shop but for apache it is quite difficult, not to mention tvs service sucks, even the tvs service centers are not having all the parts available for example tank cover its more than two months since i have given an order for tank cover for replacement and there is no response from their side, Overall the bike is good just try not to mess up it's original body parts I loved the performance but build quality is very poor.

it is really hard choosing between this Apache RTR and NS 200
Wow! This bike has a gear position indicator as well!! Now with abs and slipper clutch it should seal the deal in 2018
Honestly, i was thinking of asking for a video at pointing out highs and lows of RTR 200, FZ 25. And here you are with apache's video. Thanks motorbeam. Also, could you please do the same for FZ 25.
Faisal buddy you forgot to mention the chain issue
The chain dries up very fast ever 200 to 300 kms and becomes loose too
Chain tightening and lubrication is a constant cycle
Plz give full review of 2017 yamaha fzs v2. .and pulsar 180 ..??? Plzz everything millege...engine vibrates....breaks....maintenance cost....? Plzzz
plz plz do a review of good and bad things of pulsar ns 200 2017....
Top speed recorder will in turn motivate the riders to rode faster on roads, thereby breaking the traffic rules, endangering the lives of others and themselves... Please do not glamorize that feature
was going to comment the same.
biking and top speed only go together on the track.
We are not glamorising the feature. In fact TVS does it. Also no one buys a 200cc bike to ride at more than 80 km/hr all the time any ways. We agree on the point on safe riding
Just the rhetorical reply that I expected
use sense rather than crying these guys are just telling what the bike has and without telling too showroom guys will tell any way and also who rides a 200cc bike slow 😈
Illuminati XVI yes.. you are right
you guys are riding a test production bike.
MotoTune TM well said bro i also have this and its so comfortable seat is very soft
deepak yadav the seat is crap buddy, drive other bikes before you give your opinion and the quality of the seat doesn't matter for a 20-30km ride, drive above 80km and you'll see
MotoTune TM all the issues he told are right i face these problems too
The seat looks much comfortable but actually it's not. I get sore bums post 80-90 kms. And then it becomes really pain in ass to ride it. Maybe something to do with rear monoshock setting. Not sure.
Which bike is best either ns200 or Apache 200?? Pls reply
make a video about pulsur rs 200 2017 model ....plz...
We have done already
Motorbeam which one is good for touring and city also ? Mojo or Apache or TNT300 ?
All three.
Now that is a genuine review of a machine that's been praised to the roof all the time.. Nice to see the mention of a list of cons on the bike.. Vibes above 6500, rusts of parts, fastly wearing out Pirelli Angel GTs..
Good job MB.. As usual.. Cheers..
+pravin murthy thanks ✌🏼
Iam confused between fz25 and apache 200 4v. Which one should i go for?
Hi Faisal Bhai,
I am confused between it's two variant race edition 2.0 FI and ABS. Which one should I buy ? I am 5feeet 11inches tall will 200 4v race edition will be comfortable for me ?
ye highspeed par vibrate to nhi hoti hai naa..or long run (150-200km) par engine garam to nhi hota hai?
Sandeep Bamaniya there wont be major vibrations it is just a buzz at foot pegs which isnt that bad to make ur limbs numb. engine heating is something you will never face. it will happen only if u keep riding it for 130kpmh for more than half an hour. still that too isnt that hot to male your legs fry.
thank you.
We rode the bike a bit hard and it had vibrations
MotorBeam
I think the bike u tested was abused one. I didn't felt vibration on handle bar even after 120kmph and many owners will agree with me. Please don't generalize conclusion with just one test
ashutosh sinha yes, 120 its butter smooth at 140only there's a little buzz at foot pegs
They are just fooling everyone.
Buys a naked motorcycle. Uses it off road. Posts review. 🤦🏽♂️
nice video MB..Am too using for one year from now but i havent felt any vibrations from this bike the NVH levels are very low in comparison to other 200 cc bikes..its a great bike from tvs yet.
i am confused between rtr 200 nd fzs fi 150 v2.0 .. which is comfortable in city traffic and pillion seat with my height is 6"2. for next 4 to 5 years .. or suggest any other better option in this price range
@MotorBeam : which has lesser vibes, Apache 200 or NS 200 or Hornet 160r ? And are the vibes in Apache 200 are at controlled level?
NS 200 has lesser vibes but the vibes in the Apache are controlled.
Compared to RE 350x is Apache 200 a better bike??
awesome review!
proud to be an owner of apache 200(matte white)!
Which one I will buy ns 200 ya RTR 200.. please help me...
maintenance cost is low on comparison with NS 200? and also which of these two bikes offer better mileage?
Abhishek Singh apache 200 will give you more mileage bcoz ns 200 has more bhp!
Can I get the slipper clutch added to my Apache Rtr 200 4V previous version from TVS. Also, will the slipper clutch make a real lot of difference?
I make decision to buy this bike in this year.
I'm really confused between pulsar ns 200 2017 and Apache 200 4v. Please suggest me which bike I should buy.
See this - th-cam.com/video/aMzxmQe2v98/w-d-xo.html
MotoBeam Sir which is better yamaha 25 or apache 2004v?? plzz suggest sir?
FZ25.
I am owning apache rtr 160 4v. I am facing instability of remora tyre. It didn't give confidence on cornering. So I decide to change the both tyre. Please suggest me a good set of tyre. I needed tyre with superb grip and better cornering ability and I like to increase the size from 130/70 to 140/70
Please suggest me to buy a bike my options is Apache 200v , Bajaj NS 2017 & FZ250 and your choose
rahul raparti I have the same question
I'm waiting a apache 200v fi & ABS Model
I am waiting for the same ! I feel this bike is more practical in terms of long usage, comparing maintenance cost, reliability, economy, looks, etc. it's jst scores a point above the competition for me. but I am really waiting for an indepth long term review for all three bikes mentioned (rtr top end). it would help many people. hope theese guys do it soon
yes same here also & FZ 250 review in after 3 or 6 month & maintenance cost, reliability, economy in city.
rahul raparti we generally knw for sure that yahama maitainence will cost you way more then both ns and rtr. better comparison will be for ns and rtr200. if they can really test the milage too for these bikes it's even better. I observe theese people generally are a bit more favorable for pulsars. so we do need to keep that in mind
Which bike should I buy between apache 200 vs pulser 200 ns vs pulser 220.
+dare devil yuvraj depends on your needs.
How many yrs warranty for RTR 200? Please post a video for all 200cc bikes actual warrenty.
Which is best to buy the bike
NS200 or Apache rtr200?
Is this bike good for hilly areas?? I am from sikkim so i will need good power. Duke is too much power... i want a little less powerful bike... plz suggest me.
Hey motorbeam...
Will the rtr 200 fi abs with pirelli overcome these issues? ???lyk any ideas about it???
And would it be better than fz 25 if this variant is launched....??
To all those who are fiercely supporting TVS, just give one good reason why should one buy a Apache200 over NS200 when NS200 is:
1. Much faster, both outright & in-gear (important for a 200cc)
2. Better economy
3. Better or equal handling (with perimeter frame and now zapper's)
4. Better looks (subjective).
Now pls don't tell Apache is more reliable , it's not.
PS: I'm asking this because I am looking for a 200cc+ bike.
CHOMS CHOMS the only thing that ns has better than RTR is power.. thats it
I dnt think so :-)
bcoz they are moving for the Quality over quantity.reliabilty that's it.. and maintainence too..
best refined engine, good torque @ top gear, super handling, best quality product this will apachi rtr 200 ovet ns200
manu raj Pulsar200 Bs4 is more refined than Apache200 as per reviewers!
And in pickup, top speed and in-gear acceleration pulsar200 destroyes Apache200.
Yes, fit & finish of Apache is better but not durability!!
Awesome content and amazing channel. But please do a nice review of Gixxer SF Fi
We will.
Thank you guys, for the quick response. There are no credible and informative review on the SF FI on TH-cam and your reviews are awesome. Fingers crossed for one soon ...
plz make a video on Suzuki gixxer sf fi 2017 model
As now the race edition is out you have say something positive about it
You just won a subscriber :)
please add a long term review of honda hornet 160r also
Can abs be installed in it?... What will be the approximate cost
we want 2017 NS 200 long term review!!!!!
NS200 is a shitty bike bro meant for stupid indians like u rather go for honda or yamaha those r reliable brands
Hi MotorBeamers
What is your choice between pulsar 200ns and apache rtr 200
Apache 200.
After that I ride my Apache 200 to the service center in second gear for almost 18km , what am saying is it may look more plastic on outside but believe me it won't broke apart, even my indicators are saved too without any scratch😂
make a comparison video between. Yamaha fz 25 .Duke 200 . and Apache 200
It's good you are enjoying your bike.
Confused a lot.
proud to be a apache rtr 200 owner
I am confused between apache 200, pulsar 200ns, pulsar 220.. please suggest me which is the best one to take..
Apache 200 or Pulsar NS 200.
thanks motor beam
please make video of drag race between NEW ktm DUKE 250 and Yamaha fz 25

+Abbas Khan go for the Apache 200.
my 180cc after 7yrs still doing good...NO RUSTING
Sir please have a long term review on tvs apache rtr 180
I'm really confused ...which is best bike for long ride & city comfortable & less vibrations in high speed..???!!!..2018 models NS200ABS & RTR200 4V..
And also better handling & Mileage..😓😓😓😓
I thought everyone said the vibrations on the 200 are gone. Wanted to upgrade my 180 cos of the vibrations with this but this is alarming.
Which bike fastest in between KTM RC 390 OR DUKE 390
how about a face-off between 2017 pulsar 200 ns and Apache 200
just tell me ....strictly im asking only between these 2 bikes which is good
pulsar 220
or
apache 200
baleno 1010 RTR200 overall
are the issues mentioned here like squeaking sound from tank etc addressed by tvs? the grunt of apache sounds similar to rs200 in video. is it so? and seats are softer as i read somewhere. are they not compared to rs200?
i want to buy a new naked bike. & i m confused between duke 200 - pulsar 200ns - apache rtr 200 4v
i wnt the bike which gives good mileage , lower mentenence & good road presence
pls suggest me the best 1
Mileage n Maintenance - RTR, Road presence - KTM
TVS RTR200 4v or fz25 or NS200?? Please suggest. I am very confused.
Check this - th-cam.com/video/ZDUTj4UfVlQ/w-d-xo.html
yes i hv already watched dis ..please suggest one to mke it final
Hey motorbeam don't you think its about time you upgraded the camera you use for shooting the videos ?
Why don't you send us a camera ;p
MotorBeam Well it's not my channel and I don't get paid for the content you create. You get paid. You have to take the channel to the next level. So I suggested you upgrade your camera. Now it's your problem you are making a banter of it.
MotorBeam not a good joke 👎👎
is good for long ride?
The dealers still have no idea as to when the ABS and FI options are going to be made available. I need to buy a new ride and I'm a little confused bw this and the new NS200. However, will probably go for the RTR. Just one question though....should I go for the Pirelli option or not? How significant is the cost of replacement?
Pirelli is around 7k a set. FI and ABS still not available.
Thanks :)
what about NS 200 after certain time of ownership the goods & the bad??
I own an apache 200 rtr
You can get the parts of pulsar in any local shop but for apache it is quite difficult, not to mention tvs service sucks, even the tvs service centers are not having all the parts available for example tank cover its more than two months since i have given an order for tank cover for replacement and there is no response from their side,
Overall the bike is good just try not to mess up it's original body parts
I loved the performance but build quality is very poor.
