    Another brand I get is by Master Tools under Trumpeter. Excellent cases. Stackable, and the top snaps/locks into the base also. The base is black and not overly thick. Height and width are perfect for tall engine covers (such as my Ferrari FXXK) which just clears, and doors to open wide enough to see interior details. A trick I use to stop the cars from rolling around inside, is square pads of double sided tape under the tires. ;) It works so well, I've titled a case around 45 degrees and the car didn't budge! This way, between that and the locking lids, dusting or even taking them off the shelf to just look at the cars from different angles is not a problem. Keep the vids coming!

      thanks, and that's a brilliant idea with double sided tape. i have heard about trumpeter before, i am planning to get one of their really long cases for a stretch limousine eventually since no one else makes them in that length.

    Great topic. You’re right, I haven’t seen anything doing a review for display casesc. Great video!

    Great video, I prefer the triple 9 myself, the base itself looks much better and they fit the tecnomodel and minichamps f1 models much better. For me the downside of the exclusive cars is the locking system, if you haven't secured the car inside it will still move while opening.

    Glue some anti slip mat under those wheel stops.
    The slant represents a statue base.
    The flat base represents a road surface.

    I prefer the boxes who can hold one in top of the other, they are excellent for every space. I bought 50+ such boxes at 1/43 from a guy who sold his collection and I was very happy. Use always some scotch adesive band, don't trust the lock system :)

    I've been using MCG (Model Car Group) cases for a while now. Those are similar to the Exclusive one seen here, with latches on both sides, but with slimmer base, which I prefer. Didn't care for the locking mechanism as it's a PITA to open, when need be. Today I've ordered Triple9 ones as MGC's are getting harder to obtain now and just recently I returned two orders from different vendors. QC is terrible and I received MCG's cases scratched and marred beyond any display use (I'm not going to pay this much for simple storage 😅). Anyway, I hope that Triple9 will be... Fine 😂

    Hi I cant find the exclusive case i think it will be perfect for my car can u tell me or give me the link of the case?

  • @ImperialDiecast
    @ImperialDiecast  3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Guys, at 4:05 I give you the exterior length of 34.3cm. But the interior length is more like 33.7cm. So you will have trouble fitting any car that is 34cm or more in length as its front and rear bumper might scrape the inner wall of the case.

    You could put just a bit of double sided tape under one and it should be enough to hold the car

    More videos of What happens TOO collectors during the collectors life.
    What ARE some of the ways to collect?
    We want to skip over the early levels of collecting and get to the cream of collecting.
    What happens to the collectors who start collecting cars that can be disassembled?
    What happens to guys who collect hotwheels but then move on to collect 1:12.
    What do they do with their 20,000 hotwheels?
    Shouldn't WE buy just 1 great car?
    How do WE stop buying 50,000 okay cars?
    How do WE stop the cars just ending up in storage?
    Never to be seen again.

    I bought a 1/18 Autoart case to display a Koenigsegg with doors open, the case was too narrow. What case would be wide enough?

    Well, yes that was too informative. Let me share with you, I am planning to create my own case for my collection. Do you have any suggestions if some one intends to make cases like wood base and low MM glass or transparent plastic top. ? Oh by the way I liked your video. Thanks.

      thanks! if you want cases with wood or leather bases the best place to look for em would be e bay as many companies list their more high end cases there

    Can you display the car with the plastic base that comes with the original box? Will it fit inside the display?

    Nice info.
    I have one thought on the car stopper. Can we use heat glue gun directly between tyre and base platform or the car stopper and the base to avoid car rolling?

    • @ImperialDiecast
      @ImperialDiecast  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      ck and modelissimo should usually have them, but they just had an easter sale and many of their stocks were cleared. I'd wait a few weeks, I think they will restock

  • @CONEJOMAC2

    How many cars can you stack on top of one another on the exclusive ? I wonder how much weight can a column sustain without braking.

    • @ImperialDiecast
      @ImperialDiecast  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      right now I have them stacked one atop the other (2) in a row of five but I wouldnt do more than 3 because they dont have any kind of proper stacking mechanism where something locks in place. Instead you are just fitting the larger base atop the slightly smaller top area of the plexiglass cover.

    Where do you get displsy cabinets? I've tried searching every type of way for 1 18 display cabinets I can't find anything that holds more than 6 sideways I want something the size of a giant bookshelf

    • @ImperialDiecast
      @ImperialDiecast  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      full glass cabinets the size of bookshelves can be prohibitively expensive. Ikea makes regular bookshelves but some of them have glass in the front to prevent dust from getting in. Other than that, ikea's inexpensive and cube shaped "detolf" cabinet is very popular, although not very space efficient. With additional, custom glass shelves it can become a great cabinet though. But keep visiting your local furniture stores and you may come across better ones.

    How about quality of acrylic? Reflection? Distortion ?

    • @ImperialDiecast
      @ImperialDiecast  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      surprisingly good. have been using both types for 3 years now and they still look clear and nice, no yellowing or milkiness. However I didnt test if they scratch easily as I am extremely careful with them :)

  • @DienekesShade

    Ok, I received Triple9 cases today... Horrendous quality. I returned them faster than I unpacked this abomination. Crude, thick acrylic crap with tons of scratches of all kinds. Buyers. beware. I'll stick to MCGs cases.

    Mate are you still buying these Triple 9 Display cases? i bought 10-12 units over the last 2 months and all of them are scratched up and incredibly dirty , can't even be decently cleaned, the quality of the plexi glass is getting worse and worse with triple 9
    how are those exclusiv cars plexi quality?
    i want display cases that are clear but don't cost like 40 euro a pop

    • @ImperialDiecast
      @ImperialDiecast  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      not triple9 but just a few weeks ago i bought another 6x set of exclusiv cars display cases because i felt that they can be better stacked one atop the other than the triple9 ones, also cause they were a bit cheaper than 6x triple9. i bought them from ck, pristine quality as always, although every single one of them had a tiny scratch on exactly the same location, maybe an assembly line machine was responsible for that. not sure why youre arrived dirty. did you buy them as new from a trustworthy seller? try contacting him with photos.

    • @tomweyts
      @tomweyts 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ImperialDiecast it was from 2 separate sellers. And all of them are scratched up lately. Funny thing was , i showed em both pictures and got the same answer... Basicly you get what you pay for. Really?!?!? Guess i'll be buying a dozen exclusive Cars then from CK as well. Because it's really bad on the triple 9's. All of the one's i bought in the last 2 months are scratched up and hazy
