Hello, I just received my order of a few hard acyclics from B.F. Displays that I ordered and I love them all. I especially love the mint on card having the guard rails going from top to bottom, so awesome. I want to thank you for letting me know about this company. Thanks again, Augie
This was a fantastic video. I just got my first figure with an acrylic custom display case and I love it so now I'm looking for some spots that do cases and you gave some great recommendations I'm going to look into.
This was very informative and I appreciate the time you’ve take to review these products. You had me at ‘indirect sunlight’ I need to get some protection! (UV that is).
It took me a while to come around to acrylics, but once I dipped my toe in, I never looked back. Besides the protections they provide, just seeing items in acrylic elevates their look (something you mentioned as well). Items look like Museum pieces in them. It's amazing. I've only ever purchased acrylics from Iain's here in the US, and have never had a bad experience. My only gripe for the Vintage SW MOC acrylics that come from Iain's/GW was the excess space on the sides of the card rails. There's approx 1/4" on both sides & on the top. And while a 1/2" of wasted space doesn't seem like much, it forced me to change how my MOCs were displayed on my custom built shelves (that were originally designed with star cases in the mind). Previously I could fit six figures across, now having used up an additional 2 and 1/2 in in width, I can only display five figures, or I have to angle all the figures slightly to fit six. Again not a huge issue, but definitely an inconvenience. All that being said I've heard that the BF MOC acrylics for the vintage Star Wars figures have less waste space. I'm inclined to place an order for some since they have US distribution and see how these fit in my displays in comparison. I'm sure you have both in your possession Joey, and would like to see more comparisons on that If you have a chance. Maybe even in just a TH-cam short or something. Definitely information worth covering. I can't advocate enough for the use of acrylics if it's within your budget. Like you mentioned sometimes you're paying almost as much for the acrylic as for the actual item itself, so you have to keep that in mind. But if you want a way to really protect your collection and enhance the viewing aspects of your pieces, you can't go wrong. Another great episode my friend. Thanks for covering this topic. Look forward to seeing more about it in the future. #BFDisplays
Hey Mopar! As always thanks for the wealth of info that you provide in your comments! You are a true Jedi! Thanks for taking the time to write those for us :). You are entered and you also get extra entries being a member of the channel! Thank you!
Acrylic cases that I like the best I get from CGA, a division of AFA grading company 👌. They really are very top notch. Some I had to get from Iain's because they didn't make one of a certain box toy. What ever protects your valuables😂👍
hey Smirking! Grading figures took collecting action figures to a more enjoyable level for me, as far as buying them loose and sending in. Made me more aware of condition, authenticity, and how to judge if a figure is as it’s best state before sending in. I really enjoy it.
I don't have many acrylics for reasons you may remember, but I do find them useful for small loose figure dioramas, for instance my loose Mego Micronauts alien figures and modern Takara Microman. A bonus is the all important Keeping Dust Off Of Them!😂👍
The case is from a company called Collector Displays based in the UK but they ship to the US as well. visit their website and get a hold of the owner Drew. great guy!
Hello, I tried ordering a couple of acyclic cases, but when I was checking out, it asked for a county, and it allowed Australia not to United States any ideas? Thanks, AUGIE
Thank you for getting ahold of them....they fixed the issue, and now I was able to order my 3 acyclic cases with no problem. Thanks again for following through....Augie
#BFDisplays I've used both Iain's and Canadian Acrylic Displays, but its always great to have new products in the market. New manufacturers almost always bring some new innovation.
Serious question, as far as durability and integrity, I noticed what appears to be a Crack in the case behind you on the top shelf, are the cases that sensitive to being bumped or temperature or was that a delivery flaw.? I am interested in getting some cases soon, what that case from one of the companies you mentioned? Thanks for any input.
Hey Card! I bought the case like that from the seller who threw that in for free. But yes, these bigger cases are very prone to stress cracks when moved. They don’t handle twists very well and are very rigid.
I just brought and received 3 figure shields acrylic cases and there’s a chemical smell. should I air them out before putting figures in them or does it matter?
Thanks Gillster! Yea the step stand is my favorite and I am keeping one for my own collection. You are entered PLUS you get extra entries for being a channel member!
#BFDisplays Great episode and totally agree they are a form of once off insurance in the protection of condition without the sealed limitation of a graded item
Another great video. I switched over to the PET cases for economic reasons. (I would have spent a couple thousand dollars on cases alone). I love them. I will eventually get everything in acrylic bu5 for storage purposes, the PET cases work great. #bfdisplays
Great vid on the pros and cons of Acrylics and that is a really varied selection from #BFDisplays - competition is always good for collectors (unless it’s an auction 😂)
Hey Soda! Good to see your comments again! Yes we need more competition in every space! (I agree except auctions lol). Thanks for watching and you are entered!
Always great videos TPC, I wanted to ask your opinion on something: my collection contains multiple complete playsets, meaning box, instructions etc. Should I display these playsets out in the open or should I box it up and display the box itself? I know it's probably a preference thing but what would YOU do? Thanks as always!👍👍👍
Hey Garwiche! Space is an issue for me so that’s why I choose to keep them in the box. If space wasn’t an issue I would collect a boxed version and keep the contents in the box and one loose version to display outside the box. But for now, I just have the boxed version displayed with all the contents inside the box and the box inside an acrylic display.
@@thepadawancollectorofficial precisely why I asked. The space! Or lack thereof 🙄 Though I don't mind having space filling up with my favorite hobby lol, thanks Joey! Have an awesome week!
Hey Darth! I always try to be as objective as I can, and let you decide your actions based on the info. That make me happy and honored for you to say that. You are entered!
Hello! Been a subscriber for a while, and wanted to ask a question, do you know much about epm's on the handles of pop up lightsabers from r2d2's? I bought a collection from someone, and everything was legit, he had been sitting on it for over 30 years and most of them were from his childhood, when examining the lightsaber, I noticed there was no EPM on the handle. Which seems odd, but im very convinced it is real, plus on imperial gunnery, it said there are Pop up lightsabers around from the POTF that have no epms. It passed all the other authenticity tests, is there any advice you could give about authenticating it?
Hey Garren! You have done all the right research so far and have done everything I would have done. Here is what I would do to get more peace of mind: I have a Facebook group called the Padawan Academy, you can join that group and post some pics of it there. Try to have them be as detailed as possible. There are A lot of collectors on that group who can help you. There is also the Imperial Commissary Facebook group as well.
Hey Philip! The owner did say they have worldwide distribution, so contact them and see what Canada distribution looks like. Thanks for watching my friend :)
The acrylic stand for the Detolf case looks good! It has 4 tiers so I’m not sure if it will fit my Funkos on the top tier. But I’d be interested in trying one out so #BFDisplays Great video Joey!
Very informative Video Joey... Keeping it real, I think the acrylic displays put out a professional touch while protecting them but it can get monotonous if everything is cased up. Im not a completist by any means... so I enjoy breaking up the toy lines. I could always use a nice display case for a playset tho! #BFDisplays
Thanks Daniel! I really enjoy using Ian’s displays but I also will be using BFs Displays, especially for MOC acrylics. Thanks for watching and sharing your comment :)

I think they are great too! The space that they save on the sides is what I like too. BF is narrower than other acrylics :)
Great video. Nice to go through all these acrylics.

That's a really sharp setup with everything white (including the desk)
Thanks Melvor! It’s a small room so over expoing the walls is a way to hide how small the room is :).

Thanks Joseph!
