    If you come here with the attitude of embracing the Mexican culture then it is a joy to be here. If you don’t want to make the shift then it’s not the same.

    When I lived in El Salvador I was probably a level B2 (high intermediate) in Spanish, but I'm now a B1 - enough to do basic things, get through immigration, airports, etc., but not enough to really have involved conversations. I can tell you that being a B2 was pretty amazing. I can't wait to move! My only concern is that I don't eat meat - only seafood, but the spices and flavors are very familiar to me (I grew up with a Bangladeshi stepgrandfather).

    I don't know where you're from, but here in the states there is no such a thing as a 2 hour window! example Directv failure--I was told noon to 6pm. The guy showed up after 7pm! You want fix something with your driver's licence it can take days! No to mention the SS office; it can take weeks! I have lived in LA, Scottsdale AZ, Indianapolis, and Chicago! What are you talking about? I can't wait to move to Mexico! Up here the RED tape is monstrous. "Clarification" people from Mexico want you to learn Spanish and to assimilate (especially younger/educated generations) the submissive demeanor of older generations and of past government officials is gone! "please learn the language and assimilate otherwise go someplace else." Unfortunately, US stores have invaded Mexico, so you will easily find pop tarts, cheez it, and more. Root beer is a flavor not appealing to Mexico, so it's more charging to find it, but you will find it. Definitely, if you are not willing to change your diet stay home, or go someplace else! In Texas, CA, ILL, IN, AZ spicy food is in. TRUE, you pay for what you get!

    You literally missed the opportunity to make this video better. First of all, all the food you get in the USA you can get here, in Mexico. We are full of Walmarts, Costos, Sam's Clubs, and every fast-food chain from the USA. Designer clothes have the same price in the USA, Mexico, or Europe. It's not cheaper or more expensive. The only thing more expensive is electronics due to tariffs. The only good point you made is whether are you willing to live like a local!
    Real reasons NOT to move to Mexico could be; Water and Electricity being shut down for days, air pollution in the country, the lack of civic manners Mexicans have for society and the rule of law, plus whatever local problems there are in the area one is moving to. This could be a crime of any kind, such as petty crime, fraud ( which is huge in Mexico), and cartel violence. Which makes it hard to actually be able to move to certain areas in peace, and be able to walk at night. If you're used to the nightlife of Europe or the USA, you're not going to have that here. If you want to be in bed by 9 and relax in a bubble of safety then Mexico is for you.

      I don't agree on clothing, maybe some fast fashion but the USA has way more outlets and options for that... And you make some interesting points - But as far as mexican civics and rules of society, as a foreigner here I don't think this is the channel for those kind of scathing critiques. I am focusing on issues facing those moving mostly from the USA and Canada. Thanks for tuning in!

    Don't move to Mexico. Or Iran, Syria, North Korea, Yemen, Somalia, etc... Actually, don't step outside of North America or Europe. Easier to stay alive that way

      La Verdad Es Mucho Mejor Vivir En Estados Unidos Que En México Porque En Estados Unidos Uno Vive Mucho Mejor Y Más Cómodo Que En Mexico En Estados Unidos Todas Las Casas Tienen Aire Acondicionado Y En México No En Estados Unidos Los Estudiantes Tienen Trasporte Escolar Y En México No Yo La Verdad Prefiero Estados Unidos 100% A Mi México No Me Gusta Para Nada Estados Unidos Es Un País Mucho Mejor Para Vivir Y Más Bonito Vive Uno Mucho Más Cómodo En Comparación A Como Se Vive En México.
