No no no no no amricunts want to come here n shut down streets and events they wanna talk down on our people and they make everything much more expensive. Stay in the USA we don't want you here

Hola! He is in Mexico City so things tend to be more expensive there. Where I live in Baja a dental cleaning costs around $25.00us. My regular dentist, who happens to be a beautiful young lady got her degree in the US, charges me $500mx.
México promote the people to enjoy being out, you can find green parks everywhere. And if you live in Mexico City, and you like to walk, is the perfect option.
Also, you may want to talk about corrupt cops in Mexico . My husband and I had a very bad experience with el tránsito in the State of Mexico driving to Mexico City. Never again will we drive through that state . Pot holes everywhere and very poorly maintained compared to CDMX. Otherwise I love Mexico and happy we have a house to go back to . Love your content. Keep it up sir . Ramiro
Small clarification, nursing homes do exist but they are nowhere near as common as in the USA. As a sidenote this is related as to why you don't see that much homeless people in most cities, people rely on their families during hard times, so the last option as to where to stay is the street.
@@doingtime20 we have an aunt and uncle who had to go to a nursing home finally for many reasons. They were very well taken care of and their families stayed very involved. There are great assisted living places around and senior care.
Thats a good point on the homeless situation i didn't think of! And yes I have heard of a handful but its nowhere near the cottage industry in the USA.
I should say that the ones they were was out side of Uruapan, then Morelia and Mexico City. When my mother in law haw a shoulder replacement she got very good care in a rehab center
@@doingtime20 one thing to remember also is that Mexico doesn’t have Medicare and Medicaid like the US and other countries. This might be why the option of assisted living hasn’t developed. Not saying it’s bad
Yep.... I moved from Dallas, first to Tulum which didn't work out for me due to the poor infrastructure and higher cost of living than Mexico City. I moved to a suburban area to a 2 bedroom, 1 bath and private gated entrance with alarms and a nice large front yard, all for $285 USD monthly rent. Wifi is $20 USD and electric is about the same. 15 minutes from Santa Fe with excellent supermarket, Walmart, Costco etc. 45 minutes to Roma and Condesa (where rent is a lot more and with smaller space). Museums on Reforma and Polanco are incredible and also a 50 minute drive. Mercado Jamaica is mu favorite and it's about 50 minutes on an early Saturday or Sunday. Don't even start me on street food, it's amazing and super cheap. My online job allows me to live here in better conditions compared to Dallas, which I don't miss at all....
My wife, daughter and I just moved a few months ago from The Woodlands TX to Tampico, Mexico. While we lived a very comfortable life in the US, and The Woodlands is a bubble of luxury in the North Houston area, we are living a much more peaceful life here. Housing is affordable, the food is awesome and the people are much more genuine than in TX. We're taking advantage of the lower cost of life to afford buying a house in Spain where we'll move to permanently in a year or so.
Thanks for the great info! We're heading to Mexico City for part of the winter and we subscribed (#764) so that we can follow along on your videos of living there. Cheers :)
Hola! The cacao plant originated in the Amazon Basin and the Incas used it for medicinal purposes over 5000 years ago. The chocolate that we tend to know originated in Mexico 4000 years ago and it's name comes from the Aztec word xocoatl, it's what they called the cacao plant.

Great video, but I have to disagree with you that people throw their elders away in the US. That's an old trope Everyone that I know who has moved into an assisted living or memory care facility need care beyond what the families were able to provide.
Yeah they have them they're just not as common but their prices are very affordable for the average US retiree. I've heard they charge around $1700us per month. You could probably even hire a live in caretaker that will cook and do all of your household chores for less half of that. Buena suerte!

Ya, that's like the Asian culture too, to take care of the elders.

EXCELLENT content as usual. Your last point is 100% right. For a mexican, the family is always 1st, and we take care of our elders until they die.

good video on Mexico, salutes from CDMX

Agree about flowers. I’ve picked up fabulous cheap flowers at midnight in Patzcuero before and first thing in the morning in Neza.

never expected high end chocolate in MX.
