I could be wrong about this but *I think* the chickle needed cheddar cheese instead of American since cheddar tends to crisp up but American just kinda...burns haha
Yeah, it doesn't really work with this "plastic" cheese but I've made it with grated mozzarella and with mozzarella slices before and it worked really well!
fun fact about tanghulu: it sounds kinda funny because it is from 糖tang葫hu芦lu, where tang means sugar, and hulu is a plant that google translated into "Calabash". A thin layer of sugar coat is the best and takes a lot of skills! It's been around for hundreds of years and is my childhood memory growing up in Beijing. The most traditional one is with hawthorn berry, which is really sour fruit and pairs perfectly with the sugar coating! also Tina I can't get enough of your recipe series, so cute and relatable!!
Great video, just wanted to add that you can put a couple of drops or cooking oil in your hands before rolling the corn bals and that will make it less stikcky to your hands and also the mango needed tajin! That is like a traditional mexican snack any diced cool frut with lime and tajin, even carrots can be eaten like that and they're sooo good 😀
I just loved seeing Lyla help...she's so grown up!!! Those corn/cheese balls looked so yummm. I absolutely love Korean cheese corn...so this would make it better bc its FRIED!!!
Mango, strawberries, grapes, watermelon- add lime and kosher salt and u have a fruit cup that’s what we do here in south Texas some add tajin if u like spice
Ooh I’m from Houston tx and I never seen grapes or strawberries in fruit cups before🤤 Usually I only see mango, watermelon, pineapple, cantaloupe melon, and sometimes jicama. I get them at the refresqueria or the flea market
Honestly, the only notif i want to see from youtube are your contents. Your family makes me happy and distracted from my problems 🫰 thank you to your team as well ❤
You should do a video called trying diffrent oat recipes because there are lots of them like savour oats, sweet oats, desserts breakfast and stuff❤ we love you guys!
The strawbabies is sooo cute and the cheese mediation is funny! Gotta try the mango one when mangoes are in season again! Thanks for this video, Tina!😃
If your corn mixture is too sticky, you could try chilling or freezing the balls to keep them in shape before frying. The easiest way to shape them that I tried is using clingfilm spread on a board, add the corn mixture as a thin spread, put the cheese in the middle and roll the clingfilm with the cornspread into a ball, then freeze for 10 to 20 minutes before frying.
I don’t like to fry anything inside my home because it just stinks so on the rare occasion that we need to fry something I just do it on my grill. I have a burner on my grill and I started that way but then I found if I put my pan in the actual grill to fry something I can close the lid and it can splatter till its hearts content inside there. No cleanup and there’s no smell inside my house left over.
I love tangulu also quick tip you can do heat uo tye sugar mixture in the microwave 30 seconds intervals until you get that light caramel color. This way too you can just make a small batch if you want lol the grapes taste kinda like cotton candy imo. The cheese balls looked good but idk if i wanna got through the struggle haha maybe stick to the original korean cheesy corn yummy! The frozen mango with lime need to try it out as well, being in my last trimester i always crave eating ice but my teeth are getting sensitive so ive been freezing fruits to get the same results just need some lime hehe. Lyla such a nice lil helper❤ Soo cute!
If you role the corn fritter then freeze it for a bit, then fry, it may turn out better. Or at the very least, just told all of it then fry more than one at a time. And always season.
I have a calamansi tree overflowing with its fruit and mango is a common thing here in the Philippines 🇵🇭 😁 so I'll try that strange combination. The tanghulu is something i must try.really, it really looks good with the crunching sound too .Thanks❤.
For the corn balls not to stick, I think wash your hands and skip the gloves, then have cold water or oil on your hands while making the ball. That works well for meatballs, at least.
That syrup with water and sugar that they made, is made for a cake called baklava, here in my country were I grew up and was born, that Country is Kosovo and that syrup is called sherbet
The sweetcorn one exists in Indian cuisine its called sweetcorn bhaji its delicious. We also eat it with nacho cheese and cholula sauce as a Hispanic twist on it 🤤🤤
Does anyone know if you can make the corn balls in an airfryer, or do you need the oil? Because I'd love to try them, but I'm honestly terrified of frying stuff in hot oil 😅
Hy i am from India first of all i love your vdos, and there is one advice that whenever you try to make anything which you need to roll or make by your hands, make sure you coat your palms with oil and then do it, it will not gonna be sticky okaiiie dokieee....❤❤❤

I don't think you were suppose to use American cheese slices with the pickles.
yeah it totally failed lol
@AliciaLynn2 the ones I've seen use cheese cut like american cheese but it's actually real cheese
@tina_yong I think you need the real cheese slices they look the same but actually proper cheese
We do cheese in the pan all the time, grated in a pile works well or real slices. Processed cheese never browns
@tina_yong you gotta use cheddar cheese. It will get crispy.
I just loved seeing Lyla help...she's so grown up!!! Those corn/cheese balls looked so yummm. I absolutely love Korean cheese corn...so this would make it better bc its FRIED!!!
Lyla zoning out while eating the chickle lol
“What did I get myself into?” 😅

Your glowing 😊❤❤❤
For the corn cheese balls, i think you should rub a little bit of oil in your hand so it will not stick
The tinsy tiny thumb in the corner is adorable 🥰
Add some crispy or ruffled plain potato chips to the chickles! That'll definitely give you crunch
damn i cant get this out of my head now!! i saw the thumbnail of your vid and actually thought you were Moonbyul of Mamamoo LOL!!!
We've literally seen Layla grow! ❤
You go Mama Tina 😍
You should try viral pasta recipes!
I'm already hungry 😅! I think I'll make some of these with my kids
6:57 Lyla washing hands and drinking same water😂😂😂
For the corn balls not to stick, I think wash your hands and skip the gloves, then have cold water or oil on your hands while making the ball. That works well for meatballs, at least.
Cute camera girl is back! ❤️
I see recipe videos, I like and comment before watching.
Apple and lime or carrot and lime never disappoints guys.
The way Tina’s husband had the first bite from the strawberry tanghulu then Tina and then she gave it to Zen
Let's watch it before going to school❤️!
Well here in Mexico we always eat our mango with lime and tajin o chilly,.
for the crunch use gouda cheese!!
You should so a viral tiktok foods series where you make Nara Smith viral meals.
can you make an episode dedicated to tiktok viral rice paper recipes
Cute Lyla ❤️
For the corn recipe 11:08 I would maybe grease your hands with cooking spray. That might help with the sticking.
I think you need to coat your hand with oil for making those corn fritters!! Then they won't be sticky!!
I want Lyla in every video now 😍😍😘
That syrup with water and sugar that they made, is made for a cake called baklava, here in my country were I grew up and was born, that Country is Kosovo and that syrup is called sherbet
The sweetcorn one exists in Indian cuisine its called sweetcorn bhaji its delicious. We also eat it with nacho cheese and cholula sauce as a Hispanic twist on it 🤤🤤
Feels like you may try braid ponytail, Tina!
Does anyone know if you can make the corn balls in an airfryer, or do you need the oil? Because I'd love to try them, but I'm honestly terrified of frying stuff in hot oil 😅
You should definitely try pasta recipes from the channel The Hunger Diaries.....please
Hy i am from India first of all i love your vdos, and there is one advice that whenever you try to make anything which you need to roll or make by your hands, make sure you coat your palms with oil and then do it, it will not gonna be sticky okaiiie dokieee....❤❤❤
Please try using shredded cheddar cheese and put it on low heat.
thanks for the tip!
