Amazing video! Re: ppl asking ai for patterns in the first place, that is truly so unnecessary! aside from the fact that all AI will give someone is a gobbledygook pattern, it "created" that gobbledygook pattern from FREELY AVAILABLE patterns it likely scraped off blogs and such. & There are SO MANY free patterns & tutorials out there, even if folks don't want to pay! Also crochet is so easy to learn, I don't think it's an incredibly long or hard learning curve to go from a beginner to freehanding patterns yourself I saw a joke video about ai's inability to determine that 9.9 is larger than 9.11 and the joke was "we humans just need to open our minds to the fact that our knowledge is obsolete compared to ai's" and I really just need that to stay a joke 😭😭
Really great video, really enjoyed it! I think it’s just hilarious that you followed everything step by step, and we saw the masterpiece that came from that! Plus every time your computer went off in the video I checked my computer! 😂
"Chat gpt, write a glowing response yo a crochet youtube video": "I just watched your crochet tutorial, and it was absolutely fantastic! Your instructions were so clear and easy to follow, and the project turned out beautifully. I especially appreciated how you broke down each step and provided tips to make the process smoother. Your passion for crochet really shines through in the video. Thanks for sharing your talent and helping us create something special! I can't wait to try more of your patterns." Anyway, tnx for the video, it was fun ❤
i am convinced that any garment patterns chat GPT spits out are tailor made for one robot in particular; tiny neckline, too few/many armholes, giant body, etc.
I love you and this video this is so smart to do and unironically historical in a sense cause AI is always changing so quickly, also the Dora part took me out lmao i was responding
i just find free patterns and if i want something different then just try whatever and if the modification isnt what i wanted then. eh. i learned some things and thats how i learn to change things when i want to add something different. dunno what utility this serves aside from either making something nonsense or yoinking an actual pattern pretty much. honestly theres really no worry about robots taking over considering their "knowledge" can only iterate off our knowledge so ultimately they only know as much as we do .... and considering how stupid humans are they never had a chance lmao
"boomer gen Zers who don't like AI" SAMEEEEE i'm so glad it's not just me. my mom (gen X) talks to chatGPT all the time and it freaks me out 😭 she used "he" in reference to it the other day... scary...
If you need a new show I recommend Supernatural :3 it has 15 seasons so very long term and has monster fighting and sometimes magic and some spooky religious overtones. It’s my absolute favorite show and as a new subscriber it would honestly be fun to hear your updates on it if you did watch it!
such a fun video! I wonder if the asterisks issue is because putting * on either side of text it often makes it italics, so there probably is asterisks there, it's just not being shown because it's changing the font? if that makes sense? so that first mesh row would repeat after the chain 3, just [skip one dc, dc in the next] I guess? anyways AI is a mess lol I think I'm giving the pattern too much credit and I can't wait to check out your other videos♡
@@StitchedByEmmathe reason some of the reviews are negative is probably bc it is nothing like the original book. It's such an important piece of literature for us italians and we study it a lot so i assume the reviews are all coming from that ahah
Once AI has swallowed enough crochet patterns, it will probably be able to deliver correct patterns. I think it is just a mattercof time and I’m a crocheteur myself.
Did you know that you can feed the details you are mentioning here 2:00 to chat gpt? You feed it the parameters and it works with what you feed it. If your result is not good, its because you didn’t specify enough. The way chat gpt works is that if there is more than one way (and you didn‘t specify) it chooses its best guess.
A beginner crocheter (someone who would be the most likely to use AI for patterns) would not know this information. Someone who is experienced and would know this would not need AI to create their patterns. See the issue?
I'm definitely against using AI for creative processes because creativity is such a human thing and AI has no bussiness doing that. Butttttttttt....chatgpt is a great tool for helping with editing and perfecting text. It can help us with the more boring and repetetive tasks. I think maybe the person that was saying you can use chatgtp for writing a pattern, meant you can ask it to put your pattern instructions in a correct format. Anywayyyyy, this was a chaotically wonderful video - such a lovely endresult 😅
If your defending it for like homework,,,, your literally supposed to learn how to edit and perfect text yourself, your learning absolutely nothing letting some machine do it for you. Also you can't put any artist's work into ai without their consent. That's weird
This proves that this "old boomer" is way smarter than any little "whatever" thinking Chat GPT is going to solve all their problems. 😆🤣 P.S. I'm by far the most technologically adept person in my family which includes my millennial/gen z children, so there's that. Stereotypes, am I right? ❤

Another long TV show recommendation would be supernatural 😊 I'm rewatching it right now and it's so fun!
I love these 🤣🤣 makes me feel better that artists are not replaceable
Your hair is gorgeous 😭
13:43 i think the asterisks were supposed to be around the italicized text. it just got formatted to italics instead of keeping the asterisks

Do you have a pattern for the sweater your wearing for sale? It's so beautiful I went to your website and didn't see it.

ANY form of AI? I understand in a creative sense, but I would look into it's groundbreaking uses in the medical field :)
not really lol
came to say the same thing, lol
I mean i hate ai too but i wanted to see what it would tell me and it gave me a rly good pattern for a basic mesh top 😭
