I just find it hilarious that the amount of time and effort Bulma goes through to constantly look young using shenron, and meanwhile her mother never aged since dragon ball or even the Jaco prequel.
IIRC (please don't quote me on that), she or her husband wished for her to look young and feel young forever, until the she dies. Maybe even her cells stay young and then she'll suddenly die. The sudden death only makes sense if Dragon Ball has a concept of predestination and appointed time of death (else she'd just keep living until she gets hurt or very ill).
The paneling was on point, like always! I that it was so wholesome that in the Dragon Ball Super Manga Chapter 103 on the last page, Piccolo waved back to Pan's teacher. I'm really glad that Toriyama-sensei added that detail. May he rest in Peach. 🕊
This arc felt like fan service and god damn if it wasn’t some good fan service. Two powerful Androids, Cell, Gohan’s power, it was pretty decent in terms of relaying how well the other important characters have been doing all this time, but this arc was mostly carried by appealing to fans instead of following in the direction Super has been going towards. That can make sense, Goku and Vegeta are re-exploring what it means to be a Saiyan with a parallel to Gohan, Goten, Trunks, and even Pan where it’s attempt is more reminiscent of Goku’s adventures as a kid, which on a meta scale is pretty genius considering at that point Goku was only a human to us so we follow the main characters that are technically Human. This arc is not without flaws in my opinion but I doubt a rough review of the SuperHeroes arc in a youtube comment section is the best place to properly discuss Super Heroes, so I’m interested if anybody wants to throw around some ideas with me.
in my opinion, the only flaw is that they shouldn't have brung cell back. the thing interesting about dbz cell was his utterly arrogant, dominating, terrifying aura and personality, but this cell seems like it was just there to be strong. now i get it, cell wasn't perfect yet in the lab, but it's incredibly disappointing still. they should've developed an entirely unique android instead of remaking cell just so gohan could beat him again other than that this is like a damn 10/10 arc, very sad that akira passed away right after this

This was awesome and I'm so glad you put the Trunks and Goten arc. I honestly forgot about that and wish we got it in the anime/movie. Also, whenever I read the portion with Goku going to pick up Pan from school, I always imagine Bruce Falconer's New Earth song playing during those panels. It just feels so fitting, especially with Piccolo waving goodbye, as if it's Toriyama waving goodbye to use all.
I know people have mixed feelings on how Gohan and Piccolo got their power ups, but I’m just glad that Goku and Vegeta aren’t the only heavy hitters anymore. I’m curious and eager to see how Toyotaro will handle them going forward.

Knowing that this is one of the final arcs toriyama was involved in making makes me love this arc more now it's a mix of light hearteness, knowing more about dragon ball world through slice of life & some awesome battles so it's a fun arc to watch or read. I understand people may not like how slow this arc is especially considering it's a remake of the movie lol it's a drag following this during its run but again looking back I enjoyed it 😂 Awesome video dude though when this manga arc does become fully coloured will you remake this like gonolah? 🤔😜🤣

I really love the first fight between Gamma 1 and 2 and Gohan. Is like the anime Special of future Gohan vs #17 and #18. I can't believe it, the two fight under Rain, in Ssj, against two androids, only wishing the safe of their loved ones. But sadly, only one Gohan survived. :'(
I love the new added stories they included within this arc. It gives more light to Trunks and Goten's character as they finally grew up and that battle royale they had at the end was great. I find it funny that Trunks and Goten wanted to fight Broly though considering his strength

You know what What trunks and Goten is probably the most relatable they've ever been. Like that's exactly what I would have done at their age with their powers 100%
Piccolo and Gohan getting the spotlight again and getting the Orange and Beast forms is cool and all. But seeing Trunks and Goten grow up and be superheroes is wholesome.
You know how interwoven all the connections between Goku and Kami, Piccolo and Kami, Piccolo and Gohan, Piccolo and Goku, Goku and Gohan (yes that one is last lol). The Cell Games were the logical conclusion to the story being told. King Piccolo had rejoined and, even crazier, Kami joined HIM, thanks to the love of a young boy with special powers, who had now, at just age 11-12, tapped in to a power that would save the world. And Goku, with the perfect goodbye to us, saves his son like a good dad one last time. Dragon Ball felt so complete in that moment, and I think Toriyama felt so too... like this was everything we'd been watching for and building towards. That's why, while still great, everything from the time skip fwd (Buu and Super) almost feel like an alternate timeline... he'd already told the story he set out to tell. That's how you get dumb Goku and untrained Gohan, uninspired, sell-a-toy powerups... I say all that to say-- I'm really glad we got this love letter to Piccolo, Gohan, and the Cell Games with this movie, technically Toriyama's last. (A copy-pasted reply I just wrote)
