What a lovely little car
Thanks very much. 👍
Congrats on the new acquisition Mark.
I know how excited you must be.
It is a charming little beauty !
Enjoy her and hope to see more of it on the channel.
Thanks very much Tony. I love it. 👍
Hi Mark, Nice little car, looks well for it's age and the engine sounds sweet. You got your self a good classic car there, enjoy it. Catch you soon Take care👍
Thanks Shaun. There wouldn’t be many left like this I don’t imagine? 🤔
Congrats Mark on your purchase. You enjoy your newest vehicle.
Thanks Olds98. Certainly something different! 😀👍
Good lord Mark what a find that car is and in working condition too. You lucky bugger!. Later Peugeot's were the only cars Africans couldn't break. They'd see tree branches and large rocks in the road and would drive straight over them. My late dad was in the insurance game and an African even managed to break an anvil but NOT a Peugeot.
Thanks. Very funny re the Peugeots in Africa too. 😀👍
Fantastic purchase Mark - never thought you'd buy that. I'm somewhat connected to Peugeot as I was dealer principal of a Peugeot dealer in the late 90's.
Hi David. Nice to hear from you. I hope you are well? Apart from my American and Australian cars, I have Citroens, Mercedes and Renaults too. This Peugeot is a great find. 👍
Great little car. My style, it is.
Thank you. Me too. 👍
Absolutely beautiful Mark. It makes a Topolino or a 2Cv look positively ordinary. 😆
Ha. Thanks Peter. My dad had a Topolino back in the early 1950’s. It was near new. He had to drive up some hills backwards. 😀👍
That’s a real gem. Congratulations
Thanks Phil 👍
That's incredible, Mark! I've never seen one of those. It starts right up.
Thanks Tony. It is a very rare car. I had never seen one in real life, so when this one came up for sale I had to buy it. 👍
Cool car. Is a pretty little thing.
Thanks very much. I agree with you! 😀👍
Aha, you brought the Peugeot this time! _not a Citroen lol_
Great functional little slice of history, a fantastic find.
You got it 👍😀
G’day Mark,
Looks like a fun little car, you need to do a time trial up to Arthur Seat from Dromana,& I hope you are not planning to cruise either the Mornington Peninsula Freeway or the Monash Freeway just keep it in the back streets
Have Fun
Cheers
Louis Kats 👍
Thanks Louis. It will happily cruise on 80 kph with 100 its top speed. 👍
@@markbehr88 👍👍
It screams Barra conversion Mark.
Ha. Sacre Bleu!
I can't wait to see more videos of this thing! I'm still loving the placement of those headlights and the look of the design. The front end somewhat reminds me of a Lancia or an Alfa.
Thanks. Glad you like it. I love the headlights too. That is probably the main aspect that attracted me to it. 👍
You'll have fun with that, Mark! The oldest Peugeot I've seen is a c.1892 Peugeot Vis-a-Vis, complete with tiller steering, candle lamps and chain drive to the rear wheels. Engine number was 556. I saw it in house in 1997, before it was restored by the Coventry Motor Museum, UK. The car was returned to the owner in 2018.
Wow that is an old Peugeot. It makes mine seem like a Modern! Yes, I am looking forward to driving it. It is also just a pleasure to simp,y own such a nice piece of French art deco automotive design. Even the interior light is styled in the art deco theme. 👍
@@markbehr88 Yes, it's certainly old! There is a definite delight in the art deco style and the French certainly did it well. I'm sure that your 202 will give you a great deal of pleasure. 👍
@@chrisweeks6973 Thank you 👍
Very cool!! It doesn't seem to have any gear box whine which is usually seems iconic thing for a car of that vintage!
Thanks Ivano. It runs very well. 👍
With those close together headlights, it reminds me of a Shelby GT 500 , a bit .
That’s where Carroll got it from! 😀👍
Trente-huit Spéciale! 🥝✔️
Merci 👍
Mark, now you just need a beret and scarf to wear whilst driving it to achieve the correct sense of occasion !!
Ha hah. Thanks Greg! 😂👍
French Morris Minor. Even sounds like one at idle anyway.
Not a fan of the inboard headlights.
The dash and controls are certainly novel and quite practical. Very nice speedometer and get a load of the exposed steering shaft.
Thanks James. The semi hidden lights are what sold me plus the art deco body. 👍
@@markbehr88 The only Peugeot I go for are the much more modern 505 and 604. Nice classic though.
@@jamesfrench7299Fair enough 👍
@@markbehr88 I'm a headlight man. The body shape looks goodz particularly the rear.
