I always use peroxide. Works like a charm. I too am an old nurse so it was a trick to not walk around all day with blood on you. Loved the tests you did. One always wonders when they hear about different ways to get a stain out.
Thank you so much for this awesome tip! The hydrogen peroxide (full strength without diluting) worked like a charm! I only pre-treated right before washing in the machine and the stain lifted almost completely before I even had a chance to wash it :) Awesome!
This might be a little tmi for some people but I use cloth pads during my monthly. At the end of the week I soak them in OxiClean (name brand, I never tried generic before but I might now) with water over night. The next morning I rinse them out and if their are any stubborn stains left (usually their isn't) then I use a stain remover stick on it and let it sit for about a hour. Then I throw them in the washer. Cloth pads are great because you save money in the long run, they are better for the environment, they come in all sorts of sizes and shapes and they work better then disposable.
Same here! 🙋🏻 I was extremely sick of the environmental pollution so i decided to not contribute further. I am extremely comfy in my self-made cloth pads and would recommend to other women as well. x
I worked many years in healthcare field. When we got blood on scrubs. Would dab spot with pure peroxide on blood directly. Than washed in washing machine on cold with regular laundry detergent after getting home. Worked fantastic taking blood off fabric. Also works fantastic on other clothing too. Using same method. Thank you for sharing your outcomes also.😇💖👍
Does it have to be washed in cold water specifically? I usually use hot water in the washing machine.. would that just set the bloodstain in more versus lifting it?
@@dreeemer Use peroxide before washing machine. Pour peroxide on spot and rub in. Then use some dish liquid like Dawn on spot and rub in. Then can place in washing machine. Both cold or hot washing machine temp works fine.
Wow this video was very well done & exactly what I was looking for. I suffer from nose bleeds and I have all white bedding so this was a true life saver! Thumbs up from me
So I'm gonna try HP or bleach per your experiment. Wish me luck! But What was the deal with number 9 - the contact solution? You pulled it out and said it did a fabulous job, but it looks like a did a horrible job! Am I missing something?
You're right - I said it did a very good job, but as you observed it really only got about 50% of the stain out. We don't recommend using contact solution. It's expensive and doesn't do a very good job.
Was the bleach or the Oxsee clean powder better? I’m just trying to figure out if regular bleach or Oxsee clean is better for blood stains. I’m trying to find the best product to remove menstrual blood from underwear and sheets and things like that
Bleach was the best, OxyClean was not as good. Hydrogen Peroxide was really good. If you had to choose, go with Hydrogen Peroxide and use it before the blood dries (if possible). Or, soak the blood stain in water first, then apply the peroxide.
Thank you for your test. This has been a problem for women for a long time. Thanks again I am sharing now
Thank you for sharing Bee, it's a lovely way to support someone!
Respect for the careful testing of options.
Damn, you really give of yourself for this video !
Thank you!

Thanks for looking after people maam
Great tips for blood stains. Thanks for sharing it step by step.

0:36 this was killing me how he was just taking blood out like that 😭😂
I'm open to other suggestions, but that was the least painful way to get bloodstains on the old sheets.
MoneySmartFamily Well you could have gotten a grosser blood period blood which is why most females are on this video
I am so glad to have a video from you both. I have missed your videos.
Thanks Theresa!
@@MoneySmartFamily your welcome. Are you coming back to regular videos??

Very interesting perspective!
We rinse ours every time we change. Makes it so much easier, though you do have to run the water.
I spray hydrogen peroxide with baking soda (or oxyclean powder) works like a charm !
That sounds like a great solution! Thanks for sharing

Tamson - you're so right - treating the blood right away is the best method. So easy to get it out too. Thanks for sharing your story.

@@tamsondarland8951 thanks for the tip (and quick response)! I'll definitely give this a try for my set-in stubborn stains
Just pour Peroxide on blood stain front and back of fabric and wash. I have been going this for many many years.
Great idea Deborah - attacking the stain right away is the best way to get rid of it completely.
Deborah Crutchfield um... murder????😭
It's so awesome that you made this test! Extremely helpful video
You're welcome!
Thank you for this test. I saw a video here on TH-cam of a woman using windex to get rid of blood stains and it also disappeared 🤷🏻♀️
Interesting about the windex, thanks for sharing.
I think I saw that in 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding!' Haa!
Windex has ammonia I believe
Thanks saved me a lot of time searching the best outcomes!
Glad we could help!

Oh hell yeah! My period can't stop me now >:)
No it can't!
A quick spray with liquid soda crystals (sodium carbonate) and let sit for a few minutes before putting in the wash works every time for me.
Thank You So Much, for saying what section of the store to find club soda! Have been trying to find it forever+
I use oxi clean as my immediate go to. My second tool is apple cider vinegar and baking soda.
Thanks for sharing - you're right, OxiClean does a great job getting blood out of sheets and other clothes.
Household ammonia & water mixed 50/50 removed it in a few mins for me. (surprised ammonia was not even mentioned) 😀
Thank you! Very helpful!
Anette you're so good on camera! thanks for the share
Thank you so much!!
What strength perixide? Thanks for this video. Very helpful.
3% strength hydrogen peroxide is what we use.
I was hoping that there would be more people that has this very problem but it’s only 3%. The lawnmower story as a nice way of putting.
Not sure how many people deal with blood on sheets, but we do know which solution works the best.
Thank you so much! The peroxide worked like a charm! Now, what do I do with the body?
/j, DON’T take this seriously
Thank you for your test, very interesting. Like that clubsoda and salt, cheap and efficient. Jep awesome test to those who need to know !
Hand or dish soap with water works really well to. Especially with clothes. Just rub and it should disappear! ❤️❤️
If you get to the stain right away, this certainly can work!
Thank you ❤
Thank you
You're welcome Nora!
does this work on really old blood ?
It should. Remember, we ironed in the blood before trying this. It was like it had been washed and dried.
Just take the scissors and cut out the stain. Awesome!!
Great idea!
It could be worse ideas for this very problem you might not want to know what I have come up with.
So I'm gonna try HP or bleach per your experiment. Wish me luck!

Contact lens solution for those fancy bubbly lens holders is essentially hydrogen peroxide. Regular lens solution is something else.
Peroxide all the way !
yes, it works!
Check out the numbers 6 and 9 at the end of this clip.... hello!
Everyone, use toothpaste and cold water and scrub it. Almost removes 99% after scrubbing
Wow, that's an interesting idea. I know toothpaste cleans jewelry real nicely!
I don’t have toothpaste-
Nvm I have toothpaste now.
Youre awesome
Glad we could help.
I used ice and it work
That's a great idea - was it before the blood dried?
@@MoneySmartFamily yes but i used ice and scrubed with a toothbrush on dried blood and it worked you have to be a little patient tho
Just wanted to add that, over time, repeated use of hydrogen peroxide will also eat the fabric.

I just put an ice cube, rubbed it in gently let it set for 2 minuted and it was gone
Yes cold water can work if you get to something quickly.
I disagree, the eye contact solution didn't do well.
Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts.

You didn't try ammonia...
Not very nice removal of somebody else's blood! Great tips
Thanks for the encouraging words.
Answer: hydrogen peroxide
Wait! I saw Queen Victoria at 0:55 do I win a prize??
That's hilarous! We see it too!
I don't see it xc
Why would I need 9 ways to do one job? I just need the best and the quickest. OK, got it: Hydrogen Peroxide and water. THX.
Are you able to please sacrifice a live chicken, to try it again? Thanks in advance.
Rob - thanks - your comment made me chuckle.
Use foam soam
Foam soap is an interesting idea. The value there is most likely getting to the stain before it has dried.
👍
how to cover up a murder in a bed
Or something like that!
You didnt try fresh blood. Reacts and diengage....👍
The best answer is use saliva of the person whos blood it is.
I have heard this, but it may not always be possible.
A chicken's saliva?!?!
