    --------------
On March 7th, 2023, an officer was called by school staff in reference to a drunk minor who had been misbehaving and was very uncooperative. She had also hidden a bottle of alcohol in her pocket and wasn’t taking it out. Even after the officer warned her, the female continued to verbally abuse him and the staff constantly. The female persistently showed resistance and verbally abused everybody in the room. Soon, the female's mother arrived and engaged in a heated argument with the staff and the officer. Another officer arrived at the scene and tried to understand the situation from the reporting officer. Since the female was a minor, the officer gave her the option to be released on citation if she behaved. The other officer explained to the female’s mother what had happened. The mother became defensive and attempted to justify her daughter’s actions. The female continued to complain about the handcuffs. Later, the female’s mother called the police department to file a complaint about the officer’s behavior. The female was charged with battery on a school personnel, resisting and minor in possession of alcohol.

Yet most grow out of it and become good moms. Pointless criminalising kids for what was no real reason here. A bit of alcohol, in England we used to do a bit of alcohol and stuff. The teachers didn't worry too much and strangely enough, none of us turned into violent criminals. We were actually good kids. This video shows just ridiculous escalation of something trivial. The teachers are often arrogant and on a power trip and so end up acting like morons. I have seen teachers scream at kids for no real reason, and the teacher was so incompetent he did not even give the child a chance to explain what was going on. I have seen this talking down to by teachers many times. I just don't understand why the teachers could not of let this go if the kid was not harming anyone. The teachers and police are the ones who seem to be the ones doing harm here.

@@Sarahel-ue1yb I completely agree with you. In addition, police officers often exceed their authority and act as if they should pass judgment. Why did the police officer attack her even though she was insulting them? Even if he had to arrest her, he should not have attacked her, she did not pose any threat, she did not have a weapon, she did not fight, and so on. I believe that such police officers should be fired immediately

@@Sarahel-ue1yb you definitely made various valid points but we don't know the full story here. Yes, students who just drink alcohol should be detained this way. However, if the student has previously shown aggressive or other unruly behavior, they need to face more severe consequences. Having worked at schools with students like these for several years, some do outgrow it like you said but many more don't, continuing a cycle of substance abuse and bad behavior. It's not so simple.

Where do you think her life and future will lead when the felony charges start to pile up? She won’t be able to get state licensing to do anything productive with her future or earn a decent living thus the blaming and not taking responsibility will continue until the gavel comes down and she goes away on state paid holiday. We can hope all we want, but it’s a very sad state of affairs that a lot of young people make early on due to enablers who have been guilted into allowing them to behave this way. They were arguing with her...no, that behavior doesn't get attention as educators. I used to work as a behavioral specialist, and was with behaviorally and emotionally troubled children to put it nicely. Reinforce appropriate behavior, and do not reinforce the inappropriate. As a former teacher, I’ve seen this scenario play out several times. Even worse are the grandparents who show up more belligerent than their younger family members. It doesn’t surprise me how many of my former students have criminal records and blame law enforcement for “bullying” them. This girl is definitely on route to being exactly the same way.

You teachers are part of the problem. Most of you are pathetic. I had bad treatment from teachers when I was a kid, dropped out, went back later on my terms when there were no teachers, just professors and became a scientist. See, you fools make problems. I overcame, but many won't after their crappy experience in school prisons.

4 or 5 school 'officials' and 8 or more 'police' to take on a single 13-year old. 2000 lbs vs 75 lbs. This is why our taxes are so high and why our country is in the condition it's in. No wonder they behave the way they do. It gives new meaning to the phrase "you and what army?".

    • @baldiboy

Did you read the above comments? The officer's and staff's fear of being accused and having their careers ruined keeps them adding staff. Believe me, one officer's could have handled her like nothing one decade ago.

@@baldiboy I'm very aware of the fact that police are scared of losing their jobs and why. So I don't disagree with you and quite a few police these days aren't physically capable and/or competent enough to handle a 75 lb female. Of course it is forbidden to discuss the real causes. And I especially don't expect the police themselves to confront any of the underlying problems, but instead accelerate the downfall.

Yeah, I usually tell people to give the parents a little bit of slack, the whole "nature vs. nurture" thing, but if your *13 year old* daughter is showing up drunk to school, that seems pretty indicative of a MAJOR abdication of parental responsibilities.

Schools don't expel children for these violations anymore? I graduated in 2005, not too long ago, but things like this were considered zero-tolerance and would've been automatic expulsion...but as I went to a black school, maybe it's different, lol.
