Love it!!! And thanks for the kind words. This keyboard is so incredibly inspiring! Sometimes I do wish I had the 8 instead of the 6
The tones are the deeper 90% of the iceberg....This synth is a joy to create sounds with. The possible combinations from having 4 partials that can each have osc or tones with the ability to control each filter or a main one, coupled with 2 versatile LFO and to top it off, the ability to start over with all that and join 2 zones to make it sound even richer....I don't have the flagship, I have the 06. That's already a mental amount of possibilities, but having played with the flagship, It's even more discusting what sounds it can generate and how much hands on control is available......I trully love my 06 and hope to trade up at some point next year. Very well done videos. I have learned some very cool stuff.

You had it right the first time about editing tones. It should save with the scene. I mapped the filters and envelopes to midi so I now edit the tones in daw. Saves just fine with the project

Hi I was wondering about the recent sample update Roland made. I started with Roland Synths and Akai samplers. With the old Akai's you can chop samples and assign a chop per key (or one chop pitched over many keys). Does Roland's Fantom let you do this yet on either the keys or pads? Or would I be better off keeping my MPC on the side for something like this?
Hey!to be completely honest I dont use the sampling function on the Fantom really at all. Not sure I ever will as I much prefer touch screen iPad sampling

You’re welcome!!!! Unfortunately no such feature… yet. I really am hoping for that and the ability to delete multiple clips etc. in the future. Check out group play though as that feature has a decent work around. If you’d like to see a video on that let me know
This is a shame smh omission making this sequencer absolutely BASIC compared to every sequencer in my entire studio…and all of those were lots cheaper.

Funny enough I am trying to figure out the same. Well the original Fantom has phantom power so you just enable it. The new Fantom 0 does now

good question. i am sure there is a way, I saw a youtuber have the pads assigned for midi with ableton... but she didn't explain how, just did it. try a forum!

Drum pads absolutely suck on fantom, no velocity, no after touch, can’t keep up(latent) this could have been omitted completely and nothing would have been lost to it that normal buttons couldn’t do
Is it possible to add a reverb effect to a drum pattern set?

Can you hook up the Fandom to the ipad and use it as an audio interface. I can do it with my computers but ipad doesn't seem to recognize the IO aspect.

I had sequenced a song on Roland Fantom-06 and copied it to the internal memory (after saving it to a USB device). I would like to playback the song on fantom-06, but couldn't find the required options. Kindly help me with the same.

Yup. You can connect any midi compliant device to the Fantom 6!
Hi, can’t find how to configure pedals to behave like piano.
Can’t find the sustain parameter anywhere.

Make sure you’re plugged into the correct pedal! There are several
I plug mine into the "hold" jack, and then if it's not working right, switch the polarity (physical switch on the pedal or within the Fantom software).
so basically you can connect external controller via USB not MIDI DIN right?
Well you can connect via midi as well, my 88 key keyboard is connected currently via MIDI
Is there a sound you think you can’t make on the fantom?
Probably not but I’m not as much into sound design and creating my own sounds… but i know the Fantom is incredibly deep on that front 👌🏾
I wanna drop a tip that i wasnt aware of…. When editing on the piano roll you can select and edit multiple notes by hold shift down and put the red box around said notes on touch screen
This is something you are going to use alot, so glad its there

You can perform a drag copy of multiple notes by using the shift texhnique to select multiple notes then press and hold (knob 6) under screen and use your finger to drag notes to new location…okay those were really bothering me! Found em!!!! Joy!
I want to purchase this board, but I'm told there are major polyphony issues with it. Can you tell me what your experiences are.
Regarding the keyboard/keybed, in my experience everything is very good about it EXCEPT the aftertouch which is absolutely terrible (especially compared to what I am using more now - the montage m8x). If you have any other Qs hit me up!
@Khordmaster -Is it a possibility that each model has different issues- the 6, has after touch issues; the Fantom 7 has polyphony issues, and the Fantom 8 has a completely different issue? Have you ever experienced something like this before? I guess the only way to determine this is have talk to a variety of users or have all three models so you can compare. I know Roland would have a heart attack, then who knows, they may want to hire you as a consultant?
To be honest the fantom is a good keybed with a great sound module. That is it. Akai Force and a Roland jupiter xd would be better for less dough.
That’s quite interesting you say that as i’ve been researching both the force and jupiter. I see how dope the force is with all it’s updates and such. What makes the jupiter great? I haven’t seen too much on it yet and have yet to see one in action.
@@Khordmaster jupiter xm is much cheaper at less than half the price but you will have zencore and models…also a better arpeggiator…also the vocal designer card….all the great sounds. Team
It up with an akai force and bam less dough more power. The akai force sequencer is superior by far, so is the scale, chords, arp, and progression modes….also way better sampler including autosampler as well…i just dont think fantom is a good value yet it has too many unkept promises
Hopefully roland will at least power it up a bit more before they drop it! Lets pray they will!
@@FutureFenyx quite an interesting perspective. Since I’ve had a Fantom 6, I have first hand experience in how amazing I felt it was for my needs .. so a Fantom 8 still makes a ton more sense for me. That being said! I am very intrigued by the Roland Jupiter xm now all of a sudden 👀

i try to update my fantom 6 from Version 2.0 to 2.5…. I did everything right but after switching the usb stick from memory to 1of 3 other ports (put it on 1) he ist still updating and updating and updating …. I think it stocked right now after hours…. What could I do? I’m afraid to turn off… thx

@@Khordmaster i bought the fantom 6 and if the sounds on it werent so dang good…it would have been instantly sent back. I definitely think your videos are good and helpful…all my shots are at roland for this unfinished keyboard that could be GREAT intead of meh in every department besides sound module.
