Lily I look forward to this PIE SPECIAL BEING A YEARLY EVENT!! Absolutely incredible talent you have for someone so young! I hope you know there are a lot of adults who wouldn’t have the first clue about making a gluten free dessert let alone three different pies! I’m truly impressed by your talent as a baker. Someone once told me that if I could read and comprehend what I read then I could cook or bake anything! My first apple pie I made one summer afternoon when I was about your age at home by myself and when my parents arrived home they thought my grandmother had been for a visit because they saw the pie and it looked as beautiful as one my grandma would make but I swore to them I had made it. Then it came time for dessert and I cut them all a piece and they still didn’t believe that I had made it until they each had their first mouthful and then I was told they believed me and I asked why they did and my mom said because you forgot one viral ingredient…sugar! lol! The recipe I followed didn’t say to use any sugar and I didn’t know my apples weren’t sweet enough! lol! 😂they believed me finally! Good job Lily!!! 🥰❤️🙏🏻🇨🇦🍁
My first pie I forgot the fat so when my beautiful pie was done, the crust was hard as a brick and we had to use the knife handle to crack open the top to get to the filling. The inside was amazing but I made ornament dough, not pie dough (you know the baskets that look exactly like bread but are as hard as ceramic). we laughed about it for many years.
@@gelwood99 oh that is funny and memorable!! Well you learned how to make ornament dough!! I didn’t know it was so easy! 😂 Thanks for sharing good to know I wasn’t the only one that messed up their first pie!! Lily is amazing 🤩 3 pies!! I’m sooo glad she got her first horse!🐎❤️🥰Well deserved!!!
Lily Rhodes, you are doing this world an injustice. Write a cookbook girl. My mouth was watering watching this. So proud of you and I watched your dad’s video where you got your horse. I’m so happy for you sweet girl.
Lily’s a pastry chef. Most adults can’t make pastry. And buy store ready made pie crust. This girl is impressive. I wonder if she might have a bakery business when she grows up ? Or maybe go into the horse business. Or both ? She is a good kid ! 🥧🥧🥧🥧🥧🥧🥧🥧🥧🥧🥧🥧🥧🥧🥧🥧🥧🥧👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍✨🩷✨🩷✨🩷✨🩷✨🩷✨🩷✨🩷✨🩷✨🩷✨🩷
Lily, you are doing wonderfully. I know a couple of parents who, in my opinion, need to give the baker some space! Too many bossy cooks in the kitchen.
I used to make wonderful crusts, even gluten free. But now I just go crustless with the pumpkin pies and nobody misses the crust! Just add 1/4 C. of any type of flour ( gluten free, coconut, almond, whatever you like best) to the pumpkin mixture and bake as usual. Lily is fearless in the kitchen!
I use parchment paper on the baking sheet, then your pie. This way it's easier to clean. I also use parchment paper on the cookie sheet , then lightly grease, flour, the pie crust roll it out. Much easier to clean then the counter. Pies are Nice LOOKING. GREAT JOB. GOD BLESS YOU.
LILY, You are an all stare, really smart and focused. Use to watch you milk the sow everyday when you were pretty youong and I was just amazed. You beautiful young lady have stolen my Heart. Keep it up.
💚 So Awesome, Team Lily! One helpful hint for the gf crust: either chill the dough, then quickly roll out between 2 sheets of parchment OR roll out between 2 sheets of parchment, and chill in fridge or freezer on sheet pan. Chilling the dough helps greatly! 💚
Congratulations on your horse Lily! Now that you have hot horse manure, you could sell it back to your dad OR you could learn and teach about Hot Box gardens! Look them up! It's amazing what you can grow, especially since your family is stopping the Grocery store for 2024. The heat from horse manure is the best for this and you'll get fresh food really soon.
My mom's family recipe for pumpkin pie says 15 minutes at 450 deg. F, then 45 at 325. Works like a charm, just FYI. Been doing it for about fifty years. (but cover the crusts with foil to prevent burning. I used to cut strips and try to wrap the pie pans around the edges over the crusts, but now I just cut a circle out of a square of foil and lay the square over the pie and wrap the edges that way, letting the center be open to the air and the crusts be covered. Lots easier.)
Lily here in Michigan, my grandfather used to get a very clean pan of snow and then pour the maple syrup candy over the snow. Delicious 😋 Your pecan pie is beautiful 😍 it's one of my favorite pies. I have been enjoying your videos very much. Thank you for sharing ❤
💝💖💗 Loved your crusts. Beautiful! Crusts take practice which you have plenty of!!! Great job Lily! 🥧🥧🥧 All your fillings looked so good and definitely passed your family tasting test. 💯You have done a great job and at a very busy time of the year. Thank you so much Lily! Will be looking forward to your future videos. Take care. ❇❇❇
Yay Lily!!! I did not know you had your own channel. Wonderful, I cannot wait to see what you have planned for us. You brighten anyones day~ rain or shine. I saw you bring home the horse and I doubt you have slept much since then. I am very happy for you! I did notice that Costco had gluten free flour last time I was there just prior to Thanksgiving. I am excited to start to use it in place of regular flour in hopes of health improvement.
Growing up, my mother forgot to teach me to cook or make pies from scratch. I do remember as a girl, trying to make pie crust on my own and a cookbook. Recipe called for "shortening" and mom had a can of sodt white stuff called Crisco "for fluffy pie pastry." What was crisco anyway? Was there any animal lard in it at all or was it pure synthetic I-dont-know-what? Fast fwd to Thanksgiving overnight with one of my children and I was shocked to see my 51 yr old daughter pointing to her butter, so I could make my eggs and it was I Can't Believe Its Not Butter...its NOT butter. Not human food. I made my eggs that morning with a little olive oil on the pan 😂
Lily - Your are an amazing young lady!! I love your videos!! I’m wishing I could have taste tested your pies 🥧 along with your family 😊. ♥️ From Tennessee
Hi Beautiful Lilly. I read all the comments and i agree with everyone. You remind me of me when i was young. I loved horses and baking. You make me smile inside. I love watching you especially when I'm not happy with life, you help me get out of that funk ( unhappy mood). I love you Lilly.👍👍👍etc. 🫂🥰🇨🇦
I like seeing your recipes. Just a suggestion...could you try to fi d some for sugar free or low carb? In my house there are 2 full blown diabetics, using self management , and 1 who probably will be one day
Can I ask why you used all purpose flour to flour the counter and parchment. If you made these gluten free, wouldn't the all purpose have gluten? new to gluten free baking...Thanks ..
In her first video she was talking to us. Now we just see her talking to you or you talking to us. Not the same thing at all guys. It’s lost the magic it had on the first video ❤
I thought this was Lilly's channel - not another Justin and Rebecca channel. More Lilly and less micro managing, please. If you have to help her, you can edit that part out.
THE NOSE PICKING....WHY?? This little gal is a master chef in the kitchen, but it seems in almost every video there is nose picking and very little hand washing.
Lord I love Lily! She is the brightest, smartest little girl there is. So happy she finally got her horse! She so deserves it❤

Papa & Daughter make a great team. I like when Lily shows respect for her dad. That is incredible and praiseworthy !! Go Lily. Love your enthusiasm…..

I know half the time I have to throw my pie crust away and start a new batch.
@@asmith8973 I know it’s difficult. 😂👍🩷👍
You are getting so proficient with your baking. The pies are Beautiful.
Great job Lilly and all her helpers.
What an amazing young lady she is.
Lily, you are doing wonderfully. I know a couple of parents who, in my opinion, need to give the baker some space! Too many bossy cooks in the kitchen.
❤ Gideon saves the day getting the cookie cutters! I love it! ❤
I have really enjoyed watching Lily bake the pies! She is such a little doll!!! So precious and so smart!

Lily the pies look beautiful and delicious! Great job! Blessings and hugs!
Great job Lilly! Baking is not easy.
The pies looks yummie Lily🍪🎂🍰😋❤💯👍
Great pies lily. Enjoy your horse
Precious Lily. I use a micro planer to grate cold butter. I find that it mixes easily in dry ingredient with a whisk, fork or spoon.
I think you have a great work ethic! Thank you for creating good family content.

Belated happy birthday Lily 🎉🎉🎉
And congratulations to your horse 🐴
My adult children can’t cook like Lily! Such an inspiration!
Lily, you are amazing baker at your age .

Would you like a pastry transfer tip? When it's flat, roll it loosely around your rolling pin & unroll onto pie plate ❤
She's Going To Be A Chef.....She Has The Fever,,,🥧🥧🥧
I have everything to make a quiche, except a pie crust. I do have ingredients for one. Thanks for the inspiration. (And the parchment paper tip😊)
These pies look great Lily. Nice work. I am glad your mom and dad were able to help you a bit to make you more pro with practice.
Congratulations on your horse Lily!

Lily, those look great. Where can I get a cookbook like this?
Nice, but gluten aren't bad if you don't have a gluten allergy. But I'd still make them, good job

Grate the butter! Easier!(what you did was perfect also!)
Hi lily I always use wax paper instead of parchment paper and the crust doesn't stick.
❤
When I was your age I love to bake and my candy.
I like seeing your recipes. Just a suggestion...could you try to fi d some for sugar free or low carb? In my house there are 2 full blown diabetics, using self management , and 1 who probably will be one day
And congratulations on Peaches
Lily, how is Peaches doing? We miss seeing his interaction with all the other animals.
Lily I’d like to see how you make hot chocolate and marshmallows.
Where's the info for the book mom spoke about?
🥧🥧🥧🥧🥧
Can I ask why you used all purpose flour to flour the counter and parchment. If you made these gluten free, wouldn't the all purpose have gluten? new to gluten free baking...Thanks ..
Folks use a bigger bowl! 😂🤣😂🤣

Justin has helped her from the beginning…they make a great team…but those two are enough in the small kitchen…❤️❤️
THE NOSE PICKING....WHY?? This little gal is a master chef in the kitchen, but it seems in almost every video there is nose picking and very little hand washing.
Lily, tie your hair back before you start. Hair and cooking don't go together.
