I picked up the same brand if not the same size, perhaps. Its item # 63926 about 6 months ago. I've got my Feathertouch motorized focuser in it so I am very glad to see this side by side comparison. Thanks for doing this.
Just found a current catalog. The 64550 equivalent is 63518. The 63916/64551 I have is the Apache 2800, interior sized 12"x9.25"x4". Very nice size for the whole focuser system.
Glad it helped you. It was helpful to me also as it performed much better than anticipated at a price that is unbelievable. Thought water would be found inside but held up well. Won't be afraid of items getting wet.
You take the motorized focuser assembly off after each observing session? I don't have a motorized focuser but thought of getting one for my 130 & 175. How well do they work? Don't know anyone who has one. What brand do you have?
@@starastronomer Its a Feathertouch focuser and motorized system, Gen 1. The new ones have the same motor but smaller controllers. I had it attached to my focuser for years but the focuser didn't stay attached to the scope, a C11. It uses an Astro-Physics connector to allow an external focuser & star diagonal. They never fit together in my case. The scope has the Starizona Feathertouch focuser but I wanted the 2" 10:1 fine and coarse focus. I do more visual so it was time to take the motor system off. It takes less time to put it back on than it does to get it working with a computer again so that's the least of my worries.
Loved this review! Watched it AFTER I bought it. 🤷🏽♂️
Lifespan of a Fry The ones I use have never let me down. Thanks.
where can you buy just the foam

Thanks for that link!
Apache, Eylar, and Meijia all seem to be rebrands of the same case.
I agree.
