About:
freshy kanal is a youtube channel that makes rap battles with different characters like video game rap battles, erbparodies and of course epic rap battles of history themselves, yall are EPIC aaand yea what else do i do, cooking shows, behind the scenes of the rap battles, tutorials yada yada yada
king dice is the right-hand man of the devil and the secondary antagonist of cuphead, making his very first appearance in the game in the opening cutscene. he can be found within every die house, where he acts as a gatekeeper, king dice rap battle blocking passage between isles until a required king dice rap battle list of soul contracts are turned in to him by either cuphead or mugman.
king dice is later fought in the stage all bets are off! which serves as the penultimate boss-fight in the game. king dice rap battle instead of being able to damage him immediately, a minimum of three randomly chosen king dice rap battle mini-bosses must be defeated before one can directly attack king dice himself.
oogie boogie is the main antagonist of tim burton's the nightmare before christmas. voiced by ken page, oogie boogie is a burlap sack filled with insects, spiders and a snake for a tongue. he is the legendary boogeyman, as suggested by the boogie in his name, and how he even tells santa "you better oogie boogie rap battle pay attention now because i'm the boogeyman" in his song the oogie boogie song.
he commands three not-so-loyal oogie boogie rap battle henchmen lock, shock, and barrel. the three live in a treehouse, oogie boogie rap battle above oogie's lair. they feed him bugs through a metal chute that leads to his underground lair, and at one point even santa claus went through it.
he is also apparently the "shadow on the moon at night" oogie boogie rap battle as the shadow shown on the moon was an exact replica of him. he is also said to have been the king of his own holiday, bug day, which eventually fell out of favor, oogie boogie rap battle resulting in him moving to halloween town, a plot detailed in "the nightmare before christmas: the pumpkin king" for the gameboy advance.

@@carmello____8048 A D6 is a type of die commonly used in games like Dungeons and Dungeons, and nearly every board game ever. It's also the type of die that King Dice actually is. He's a D6.

This battle is so stylish on many levels. You even made the template smaller because of the nature of 1900s cartoons. And your animators are still killing it.
It's ironic that King Dice is actually among the more respectful rap battle contestants I've seen on TH-cam, considering how *hard* he went here. He's one of the few I've seen who doesn't diss the other's rapping nor make jokes about screwing them or a loved one. 10/10 a true gentleman.
He's Devil's right hand man not a monster. Also he's a professional with standarts.

unironically some of your BEST works. the fluid editing is literally some of the coolest I've seen in your projects, and the VAS brought their absolute ALL. SUCH an interesting concept for a battle and incorporating all the singing was a risk that paid off exceptionally well with the production oml. Top 3 battle of yours for me. holyyy

Absolutely. The video was visually engagin from start to finish, hardly any visual drops like too much white space. Not to mention the bars bein as nice as they are, it’s a great piece just by the visual creativity alone.
King Dice's second verse wouldn't go insanely hard if it weren't for the delivery of the "Sally - Leg up" line, he put his entire soul into that "IIIII'VE GOT A LEG UP"

ERB didnt upload for a year now while Freshy posts a battle every 2 week with good voice acting and quality also his beat is so good i always liten to his songs even when im doing homework. While when i listen ERB his beat is.. does he even have a beat? Im not sure voice acting isnt bad but overall i think Freshy does better (i didnt listen to all of ERB so idk) for lines im not sure but still saying Freshy cuz every battle ppl talk about multiple good lines while when i look ERB comments they, most of the time, talk about 1 good line although i might be wrong at lines

This madlad somehow managed to marge rap and jazz and not only make it sound amazing, but having an insane animation as well
It definitely was a risky choice but it 100% paid off, hats of to everyone involved in this project

This battle was fantastic. McGwire's singing really fit the whole vibe really well and went phenomenal with the beat. Really had that old school feel.
I dont know enough about Boogie to say how faithful his voice was to the source material, but damn I loved it. King Dice... God DAMN that VA deserves an award. Perfectly encapsulates the two faced sleazeball feel he has in the games. Absolutely superb battle!

Oogie Boogie's voice in this sounded pretty faithful to the source material.
Not only was the voice fairly accurate, there are several lines referencing his songs from the nightmare before Christmas "you're choking, you're choking" - "you're joking, you're joking, I can't believe my eyes". Truly a brilliant battle all around.
Boogie sounds almost exactly how he does in the movie. Like, if they ever had to replace Ken Paige this would be probably at the top of the list.

I edge the battle to Oogie because he had better flow, equal delivery, some basic rebuttals, and wayyy better references than Dice. Dice only mentioned Nightmare Before Christmas in implied passing while talking about his screentime and Disney, while Oogie actually used Cuphead, easy mode, and the Knockout text for bars.
Dice was carried by some great sounding bars but they had little substance. His wordplay was better than Oogie's but Oogie wasn't a slouch either, with some good lines like burlaps, mugshot, and napsack.

Holy crap, this truly might be the best Rap Battle for this year.
The animation was top tier and both McGwire & Chase Beck were amazing in their performances. Truly tough in choosing a winner since King Dice had better disses while Oogie Boogie was outstanding in his flow. Gotta call a tie on my end, but main did both make it close.
Awesome video overall, and truly my new favorite episode for this year in music and animation going so great together.

I went through my playlist and this is without a doubt the best animated one out of all them (I’m subscribed to a few channels that does rap battles animated this still won but it was real close). There’s like certain songs that you have favorite parts to them right? This song, is one of the few songs that EVERY part, is my favorite part. And you can come back to it October through December.
The music just sounds straight out of both versions of their sources a wonderful combination, both VA’s delivery could not have been more perfect, the writing is could not be any more on point, the animation has that charm. Like 😅… I can’t even put it all into words it’s that good.
I HAVE to drop this kind of props on this video. It would be disrespectful not to if I didn’t give it the proper respect I think it deserves.

Honestly, while the lyrics and visuals are great in this battle, the thing that instantly stands out to me is the 4:3 aspect ratio, which given the combatants, makes a lot of sense and I'm not sure how many people would have thought to do that. It's a wonderful touch.

This battle is one of the best ones I've ever seen. The matchup is promising with two gambling-themed villains from underrated masterpieces, combined with spot-on voice acting, beautiful animation, and tons of clever references, I could watch it again and again.

No one saw it coming and it delivered in every sense. The voices were perfect, the lyrics are amazing, the animation is the best yet, and the music is jumpin'. Amazing work from everyone involved and here's to 100K!

All jokes aside, this was a great battle. The matchup works and the voices were great. Interesting choice to make it 4:3 instead of 16:9. But, due to their source material, it works. And fun use of the singing parts. Overall, pretty fun rap battle.
Freshy, I have loved your rap battles ever since I stumbled upon Willy Wonka vs Walter White. And here I was thinking nothing could ever top Loki vs. Count Olaf. This... this is incredible. The animation, the music, the lyrics, the voice acting. King Dice absolutely nailed this one with exceptional flow and a really cool singing interlude. 1:20 was when I realized that
1) this was a killer song, and
2) King Dice can really let his punches swing. As a fan of Kingdom Hearts who played 1 and 2, Halloween Town, the Nightmare before Christmas world, was easily the best world in BOTH games. So for King Dice to say that they sucked has a bigger impact then it seems.
Even the little things, like this video being in 4:3 instead of wide-screen for that old-school feel... Excellent video!
