I just realised how much charlie brown and butters have in common: - Both are too kind and gullible - Have too little hair - Bullied by their friends all the time - Always sad or depressed because of people mistreating them
@@RoboRebellionStudiosthe south park style animation is spot on! and the peanuts animation has the same cadence and energy as the animated specials! only thing i’d criticize is the line art on the peanuts characters could use a little more work (especially the side profiles)
2:24 - 2:35 is a reference to Peter Robbins, the original voice actor for Charlie Brown, the lines “damn it, I know it’s so hard but man you gotta hold on” and “you may have nothing to live for, but dude you gotta let it go, no Charlie don’t do it, don’t do it NOOOOO” references that Peter got a sickness and probably couldn’t take it and k*** himself
Kinda neat detail I noticed; throughout the rap the South Park characters in the background all seemed mostly disinterested, while by contrast the Peanuts characters seem much more generally supportive and happy to be there. Stuff like Sally giving Charlie a mic, a few Peanuts characters cheering Charlie Brown on and Lucy showing up to diss Cartman (albeit berating Charlie for not finishing off the battle with a punchline) creates an interesting contrast to how Cartman's only interaction with his own show's cast in this was negative/hostile (something Lucy even call him out on).
0:25 Sally gives Charlie a mic 1:15 Kids cheering for Charlie 1:58 South Park kids are sad, Peanuts kids are cheering. Also some Canadian dude in the back. 2:05 When Cartman says “everyone in your family thinks you’re a fucking disgrace” you can see Charlie’s sister. 2:48 Lucy disses Cartman 2:59 she must be pretty strong if she can lift his fatass up

I love how Cartman can't take a hit even verbally, just like in the show - he tries to leave again and again after every verse of his, looks genuinely scared when Charlie picks up the mic but then gets angry when Charlie doesn't react and himself leaves. Very accurate.
It’s also a reference to Jews being stereotyped as having horns and thus being demons, since Eric Cartman is being anti-Semitic. Another comment already said this but I felt the need to further emphasize it here.
And you said Miu Iruma was "the most dreadful girl"...your impression of Lucy van Pelt was way too spot on! 🤩 You definitely won this whole battle with just one verse...I mean, you even dissed Charlie Brown without a single rhyme! 🤣
You killed it! In a sea of Charlie being decent, Cartman being okay. You're was spot on. You literally had my favorite verse upon re-listening. Just wish we could know what the final punchline was!
Wait you know what i just realized? In the end of Cartman's second verse he says about going to his local psychiatrist. And guess who comes back? Lucy who is basically their psychatrist for 5 cents.
I love how the aspect ratio and artistyle changes during Charlie's first verse at 1:10 it really gives a subtle nod to difference in time period and history these characters have.
Honestly, after Lucy said her line, she repeated what Cartman said about Brown being terrible, but she said there's no hope at ALL. I'd say she helped Cartman win.

It’s kind of nice how many references you was included in this and how the characters was exactly how you expected them to act, especially with Lucy and Charlie Brown. Lucy trying to give Charlie Brown a chance to shine and him ending up failing and Lucy berating him for it.
It's even better than that--they basically adapted the football gag into duet form, with Lucy setting Charlie up only to have him fail thanks to her pulling the rug out from under him.
@@guywholikesorialot1246I personally believe it would have been a reference to Thanksgiving Dinner. It makes sense as a bar and a reference to Charlie Brown and the Peanuts.

Charlie Brown taking lead while everyone listen to him but doesn’t seem to care too much but Eric who is insulting him more than anyone else have insulted him. He finally gives up realizing that he doesn’t have to put up with this. Lucy just like Linus doesn’t want to see his friend get bullied and insulted and decided to take matter into her own hands, clearly getting angry as her hair get frazzled and messed up before finally calming down and let Charlie Brown attempt to shoot a diss only for him to miss and Lucy berating him for it.
2:51 the way Lucy said 'why don't you pick on some one your own size?' I say one, she was making an obvious jab at cartman's weight. And two, she was sticking up for Charlie, cause despite the fact that she's pretty much his bully, she's still kinda his friend (the second idea was just because I thought it'd be cute for Lucy to actually care about Charlie in her own way 😅)
I’ve been playing this on repeat for the past week now, and I surprisingly haven’t gotten tired of it. This goes to show how well animated and voiced this is. All their voices scratch that satisfying itch in my brain so well.
Lucy joining in to roast Cartman is just perfect. Considering she’d always bully and insult Charlie so many times before. But it feels refreshing to see Lucy stand up for him even if she’s still gonna insult Charlie Brown continuously. Not to mention the nostalgia and references that were put into this! I'm dead serious in saying ive listened to this like 20 times, its so catchy and amazing. Their voices are super accurate too! Great job on the VA's parts!
I do want to point out something: at 2:24, you can see a little bit of electricity around Cartman when he says "dammit"; this is a reference to the movie "Bigger, Longer, and Uncut" where he had like a chip or something put in his head that would shock him whenever he cursed. Absolutely fantastic detail, even if it's really subtle.
3:09 is a reference to the Scott Tenerman episode. I’ve not seen South Park but I’ve seen clips. I didn’t know they were related I never saw South Park.
i feel like cartman's verses were more than just see a professional he was making fun of how he is a loser and a reject and to "not" kill himself cartman W chat
The bar "I heard she's pretty horny" said by Cartman is actually the highly coveted triple. 1. Obviously he is calling Charlie's mom sexually promiscuous/a whore in a surface level but also 2. On a slightly deeper level this is a reference to the fact that Charlie's mom like all adults in the Peanut's, is only able to speak in trombone noises her speech literally being "horn-y" 3. Eric Cartman is also being antisemitic due to the discredited idea Abraham and along with that jews literally had horns sticking from their head due partially to a mistranslation of Exodus and antisemiticly associating Jews with devil so on another different level he's again literally calling her mom "horn-y" as in literally having devil horns. I don't know if anyone else pointed this out already but I thought it was pretty impressive to me at least, good job on the rap battle
2:51 "WHY DONT YOU PICK ON SOMEONE YOUR OWN SIZE, YOU OBJECT⁉️ ID SAY YOURE TOO ROUND TO BE A BLOCKHEAD‼️" I have seen NO comments about this, you guys are sleeping on this part.

The bar "I heard she's pretty horny" said by Cartman is actually the highly coveted triple.
1. Obviously he is calling Charlie's mom sexually promiscuous/a whore in a surface level but also
2. On a slightly deeper level this is a reference to the fact that Charlie's mom like all adults in the Peanut's, is only able to speak in trombone noises her speech literally being "horn-y"
