eric cartman, one of the central characters from the long-running animated series "south park," created by trey parker and matt stone, is a complex and controversial figure in television history. known for his manipulative, egocentric, and often offensive behavior, cartman resides in the small colorado town of south park. as a student at south park elementary, he frequently clashes with his classmates, including his primary friends stan marsh, kyle broflovski, and kenny mccormick. cartman's insatiable hunger and obsession with food, particularly cheesy poofs and kfc, are notable character traits, as is his distinct, nasally voice. he is often seen donning his signature red jacket and blue hat with a yellow puffball. cartman's antics and schemes range from outrageous pranks to elaborate plots, often with a dark and twisted sense of humor. cartman's interactions with other residents of south park, such as his rivalry with kyle, his manipulative dealings with butters stotch, and his confrontations with authority figures like mr. garrison, highlight his manipulative and self-serving nature. eric cartman has become an iconic character in pop culture, known for his memorable quotes, such as "screw you guys, i'm going home!" and "respect my authoritah!" his role in "south park," alongside a diverse supporting cast that includes randy marsh, chef, and mr. mackey, ensures that cartman's outrageous behavior and controversial viewpoints continue to provoke thought and entertain audiences worldwide.
charlie brown, created by charles m. schulz, is the beloved and iconic protagonist of the "peanuts" comic strip. known for his relatable struggles and endearing personality, charlie brown has captured the hearts of audiences since his debut in 1950. residing in a typical american neighborhood, charlie brown navigates the ups and downs of childhood with his loyal beagle, snoopy, by his side. charlie brown is instantly recognizable by his round head, yellow shirt with a black zigzag pattern, and his perpetual optimism despite frequent failures. he is the manager of his baseball team, often facing defeat but never giving up hope. his interactions with the rest of the "peanuts" gang, including his best friend linus van pelt, his bossy and opinionated sister sally, and the ever-crabby lucy van pelt, highlight his patience and resilience. charlie brown's unrequited love for the little red-haired girl and his constant efforts to fly a kite despite the infamous kite-eating tree are central themes in the comic strip. his dog snoopy, who imagines himself as a world war i flying ace and a literary genius, adds a whimsical element to charlie brown's otherwise grounded life. with memorable quotes like "good grief!" and timeless holiday specials such as "a charlie brown christmas" and "it's the great pumpkin, charlie brown," charlie brown has become a cultural icon. the enduring appeal of "peanuts," with its humor, heart, and universal themes, ensures that charlie brown's legacy continues to inspire and entertain generations of fans worldwide.

Cartman's second verse is so weirdly satisfying to listen to, especially with the tonal shift and the backing track changing to match it, but Charlie and Lucy had way better disses than Cartman overall. Amazing rap battle here, man, keep it up!
That verse was a send-up to his role in the SP episode "Put It Down," where Cartman had a sub-plot about faking threats of self-deletion for attention and then muscled into the A-plot's song with a rap verse, with that exact same outfit and similar beat. I appreciate that this song was obviously done KNOWING both IPs, because that is a heck of a reference to pull into your rap battle, considering both are VERY old shows at this point.
love that no one noticed how when she said "and then TURNED HIM INTO CHILI AND FED HIM TO YOUR BROTHER?!? YOU REPULSIVE FREA-" she sounded like she was going over a script and was so surprised by what she had read that it completely changed how she rapped.

Kinda neat detail I noticed; throughout the rap the South Park characters in the background all seemed mostly disinterested, while by contrast the Peanuts characters seem much more generally supportive and happy to be there. Stuff like Sally giving Charlie a mic, a few Peanuts characters cheering Charlie Brown on and Lucy showing up to diss Cartman (albeit berating Charlie for not finishing off the battle with a punchline) creates an interesting contrast to how Cartman's only interaction with his own show's cast in this was negative/hostile (something Lucy even call him out on).
Another showing is how Shrodier plays the piano in the background during the Charlies Verse.

I'm dead serious in saying ive listened to this like 20 times, its so catchy and amazing. Their voices are super accurate too! Great job on the VA's parts!

Amazing job at representation. Cartman's verse felt like something he would actually do in the show. And the peanuts felt just as well represented with Charlie giving up half way and having lucy come in to help only to insult brown when he inevitably screws something up

I love how Charlie responds with such devastating pure truth to Eric's petty "ur mom" jokes, then just leaves when he digs himself in the nonsense suicide talk he made up entirely on his own, to give the place to Lucy who completely annihilates him at his own game, all is so much in character
All of them were in character, Although I would have loved if it was a full on Peanuts vs South Park Total War.
I think it was a reference to Peter Robbin, the voice actor of Charlie Brown who took his own life sadly.
@@Outerflick oof...
@@OuterflickNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
@Outerflick I don't think so, it's just a big reference to South Park. In one episode Cartman is constantly threatening on killing himself for his toxic relationship, to the point that he makes an entire rap song around how people don't want him to kill himself, even when in reality nobody gives a shit since they know he's lying.
This video just put a lot of emphasis here because: 1) It's a rap battle and that scene is the only time where Cartman raps and 2) To showcase two of Cartman's core character traits, projecting his misery on others and coming up with his own version of reality instead of paying attention to other people.
Wait you know what i just realized? In the end of Cartman's second verse he says about going to his local psychiatrist. And guess who comes back? Lucy who is basically their psychatrist for 5 cents.

I dont get the pork isnt kosher line
@@WooshfrJews are not supposed to eat pork. It is against their religion.
@@WooshfrI’m pretty it’s bc Jews can’t eat pork and Lucy said Kyle doesn’t like him bc he’s pork (fat)
@@Wooshfr Kosher means a fit for consumption by Jewish people, and pork is not one of them
@@WooshfrShe’s calling Cartman a pig/fat.
Honestly this animation is absolutely phenomenal! I'm so blown away
ERB needs to see this! That was amazing!
THANKS SO MUCH FOR HAVING ME AS CHARLIE!! This was so much fun and came out amazing 😭
@@langlelee you did a spectacular job!! Thank you for being a part of it
YOU DID SUCH A GOOD JOB!!!
@@kiplit9013 TYSM!!
You did such a great job capturing Charlie’s character, great work!
@@Pyrothememelord Thank you 😊
I do want to point out something: at 2:24, you can see a little bit of electricity around Cartman when he says "dammit"; this is a reference to the movie "Bigger, Longer, and Uncut" where he had like a chip or something put in his head that would shock him whenever he cursed. Absolutely fantastic detail, even if it's really subtle.
Then why didn't that happen in his other verses?
@@mauro27279 idk, there can be some inconsistencies
3:09 is a reference to the Scott Tenerman episode. I’ve not seen South Park but I’ve seen clips. It’s where Scott sells pubes to Eric and Eric gets revenge by killing Scott’s parents, turning them into Chili and then gives it to Scott to taste test. I didn’t know they were related I never saw South Park.
@@mauro27279 the same way in the south park universe his chip almost never works after the movie unless it's necessary like in the games
@@Honeyr0ck oh I didn't know that the chip was actually a canon addition, I thought it was just a gag for the movie lol

Charlie brown wins?
👇
It’s kind of nice how many references you was included in this and how the characters was exactly how you expected them to act, especially with Lucy and Charlie Brown. Lucy trying to give Charlie Brown a chance to shine and him ending up failing and Lucy berating him for it.
It's even better than that--they basically adapted the football gag into duet form, with Lucy setting Charlie up only to have him fail thanks to her pulling the rug out from under him.
Does anyone know what he was supposed to say tho?
@@Sun_God_ApolloI believe “chicken dinner”
@@guywholikesorialot1246I personally believe it would have been a reference to Thanksgiving Dinner. It makes sense as a bar and a reference to Charlie Brown and the Peanuts.
@@saltygibus5746 While I can definitely see it, it felt more like the Christmas special combination with like the football scene and why Charlie brown why.
Charlie Brown taking lead while everyone listen to him but doesn’t seem to care too much but Eric who is insulting him more than anyone else have insulted him. He finally gives up realizing that he doesn’t have to put up with this. Lucy just like Linus doesn’t want to see his friend get bullied and insulted and decided to take matter into her own hands, clearly getting angry as her hair get frazzled and messed up before finally calming down and let Charlie Brown attempt to shoot a diss only for him to miss and Lucy berating him for it.

dude this is so amazing!!!!!!!! if this was a show i'd watch it
the switch to the 4:3 aspect ratio when Charlie Brown starts is mindbogglingly cool 😭
"You're big boned like me, cept way way more"
So he's just lying now 😂 he's in character alright
Lucy’s “YOU REPULSIVE FREAK!” has got to be one of the best line deliveries I’ve ever heard.
This is the best thing I have seen in the longest time
Can we take a minute to appreciate this animation and all the voices, cuz this is AMAZINGGG ❤❤❤❤
3:20 ‘No wonder Kyle hates you, pork isn’t kosher’ LUCY WINS DONT EVEN ARGUE WITH ME. The wait was worth it lol great work Eddie.
the little shocked face Kyle makes at that comment, too 😭😭
The middle finger 😭
At 3:30 I think Charlie was supposed to say: “THANKSGIVING DINNER”
200 LIKES WHAT
Why?
@@_sugarcoded_8986 idk it works
Don't think they had a plan, but "were cooking peanuts for dinner," or something would fit
I was thinking
“Your honor he is a ni-“
I thought it was gonna be w i n n e r
I love how the styles change, pretty cool!
Charlie messing up the final verse fits better than a punchy one liner
“Someone tell Heidi to hide and get her some iodine” BANGER LINE
all your friends think your an antisemitic ogre!
wait what does it refer to?😭
Eric fell in love with her at some point and they dated
@@whysodysseyIodine is a first-line treatment in nuclear accidents due to both the thyroid’s propensity to absorb most of it that enters your body and the fact that fission accidents produce a lot of radioactive idodine isotopes. Essentially, by packing the thyroid full of non-radioactive iodine before the radioactive stuff can get to it, it reduces the chance of developing thyroid cancer after being exposed to fallout. Lucy essentially called Cartman a walking Chernobyl in *pre-med*
@@CherryPink245 The idodine is a reference to the christmas peanuts special...if you did not somehow know.
