So many times I find Deadmau5 tracks that were later split into 2 or 3 separate songs. The released versions always sound more complete and whole. Some of his recently released songs feature melodies from many years back. It's like he has this child growing until it's ready to get out there.
He actually explained this in a Q&A somewhere. He has this thing on his PC that he likes to call "the vault" which is basicly where he stores a bunch of unfinished melody's and sounds that he liked, but couldn't figure out what to do with it. every so often, he'll go to his "vault" to play around with some of these old things :)
I fucking love how Joel lets people post his music without any repercussions. It's one of the most commendable things about the guy. Some of his best work (in my own opinion) doesn't even get officially released, but people are still able to get it via posting by third parties and Joel allows them to do it. What a great dude.

I remember I played this while playing The Legend of Zelda:Twilight Princess on the Gerudo Desert and Snow Mountain. Honestly it was amazing. This track is just either happy and melancholic, but also it feel like its preparing you for something new and good
ive started to listen more to this song now, i dont know why but it gets me into a better mood, i fight with my mental health, axiety and depression. Putting my headphones on, closing my eyes and starting this song shutting out the constant thoughts that never go away, imagining living the perfect life, it works for the duration of this song.
I know this sounds cliche. But things do get better. Take each day one step at a time. And remember the beautiful things that we all have in our lives because as dark as it may be there ARE positive things even if it's just one thing. We just have to look hard for them or look at something at a different angel. Things will improve and get so much better for u :)

I remember back during 2020 listening to this while playing through Dark Souls 2’s level Shulva Sanctum City. This song just adds another layer of atmosphere to an already incredible level, and adds so much when just listening to it right now

At 6:50 you hear exactly the "Jan Hammer - Crockett's Theme" sound. You need to filter out the lead sound, and then you will hear it. Instantly I went back to my 80's.

I think a lot of it is trial and error. Seeing if an arpeggiator produces the right kind of arrangement you're looking for, or seeing what chords work with others. The genius of deadmau5 are his eureka moments. Despite all the trials and errors, he knows when he's got that sound he's been looking for.
The first time I listened to this, I felt so fucking high. After a couple of listens I got used to it. But today, I revisit that first time high. Such a timeless track.
Great tune. Jaded is still my favourite of his tracks, and not sure that will ever be beat. But it's not a competition, it's just great to hear awesome tunes freely available
