I have watched dozens of videos showing gun cleaning stands and your design is clearly the best I have seen. I have a lot of 3/4 birch ply left from an office shelving project and will use it. I built one of these stands from a long piece of 1 x 12 douglas fir that I found in an alley about 25 years ago. That thing would not die. I ended up throwing it away years ago because it was just too heavy. I took it to every match I attended and it was great, especially in the rain. It fit in the back of my truck. I would put my rifle in it and dry it off, then clean it. I had a handle and a tray to keep bits. I drilled 2 holes in each vertical to hold a couple of cleaning rods. I may simplify your design and put the vertical adjustment on the barrel end only. I will mock it up and see how it works out.
Buying an air rifle for my son and need to mount a scope. Your stand will make things a lot easier!
    Thank you very much!

That's actually better than most bought ones I've looked at and you made a lovely job of it, well done sir. You've certainly inspired me to go and make this instead of buying one now. Many thanks for sharing. 😊👍

You made the stand on the cheap but the design is good and it works ! By the way, cheap is good ! Thanks for sharing.

Thankyou, yes my "aim" pardon the pun was to make a practical stand that works, and adjustable, that you can even make to suit specific guns, and also make it from cheap readily available strong material, even offcuts, thanks for your comments once again, regards Arthur.

It takes a fair bit of time to do these videos with editing etc and I haven't done one for some time, maybe I'll be able to fit a video in around all the other things in life which are nescessities and priorities.
      Kind regards Arthur.

I really like this design, I think the only thing I will do differently is I will use the leather out of old work boots over hard rubber to line the V portions. But again excellent idea

Thanks for your comments and watching, the rubber I used is actually fairly soft, and you're right, leather would work okay too.
