    I checked your identifying geodes vid first... Thank you for being competent, literate, and calm... Thank you for not jumping around and yelling how exciting it is. Pleasant, calm, informative and the music is understated enough to hear you.

    We do a couple trips to the U.P. each year looking mostly for copper, silver and other mineral specimens.
    This year we ran into a beach filled with slag glass and had wonderful time collecting!!
    Found out very quickly just how sharp it can be :/

      This was a week ago. Yesterday when I went I about froze, but I would rather freeze than look at a frozen Lake :) It was a fun day. I sure miss going up north. I almost went one last time this weekend but decided it would probably be to cold. I noticed Grand Marais did not have much for snow as of yesterday morning. Things may be different today ? Thats crazy, the glass slag looks kinda like rocks where your at. I kept thinking it was some piece of jasper or silicated rock only to find out more man made minerals. Still really cool how much of it is on that beach! I found my first piece of green glass slag last week, and it has rainbow purple colors in it. Can you tumble it?

    • @upnorthadventureswithccc
      @upnorthadventureswithccc  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is a fairly small beach but loaded with glass slag. I find some up in Munising Michigan in Lake Superior also. It tumbles really nice~as long as there are no big holes in the slag~then it will fill up with grit and polish. Otherwise I love how mine turned out :) Thanks much for watching :)

I will be working on the change sometime this winter. I do not make jewelry much~just a little here and there. I may get more into it this winter. I did sell a lot of the pretty blues and greens to a lady who said she makes jewelry for craft shows. I still have plenty of blues and greens :) I am going to check out your channel now, Thanks for Watching :)
